As poorly as this defense is coming off, I am at a loss as to what they could have done/been doing instead (not counting the unpreparedness, etc...just the actual defense.) If your client won't admit to anything other than an accident in which she basically had no part, and certainly won't go for insanity, they were not left many options. They can only present what their client agrees to, basically and have to try to take advantage of any little moment of drama to detract from the other side, who actually have a case.

I understand why they are emphasizing the lying, it can't be ignored, certainly so they have to at least try to make a point that she does not know lies from truth about anything and lived in her own little world of deceit. It is not helping their case, but then again, what would?

They literally have nothing to work with. This is the most open and shut circumstantial case I have ever seen...and all thanks to their client.

I agree. They don't have anything to work with. But JB and Company could still go with this defense but at least still do it with class.

They can still attack each witness, but do it with class and with issues that are relevant to this case. IMO they aren't. Even if they wanted to go with the "molestation" defense there's still a better way of going about how they are dealing with all the other witnesses.

I have a question!

If (this is an if question) this jury finds reasonable doubt what will happen to GA?
Will he be charged for anything? (Disposing of a body)

IMO no. I don't think the SA believes for a minute that GA had anything to do with Caylee's death or the disposal of her tiny body.

Objection. Lacks foundation. Assumes facts not in evidence.

What scares me is that JB dosent have to prove anything at all!

All he needs to create is reasonable doubt and i sure hope these jurors are on to KC Anthony.

Oh i dont either!
but if the Jury does not find KC guilty will they then go after George?
I cant imagine this family going thru this again!

I agree 100%. Even the little heart stickers were found in ICA's room in a shoebox marked "Caylee". I believe she went into a frustrated rage, over-chloroformed her, taped her nose and mouth, etc.

I'm thinking that if the chloroform isn't convincing enough to the jury, wouldn't you think that the duct tape over the mouth and nose and triple bag be enough to prove that it wasn't an accident? I still feel that her rage toward her Mother was the motive and that TL was an after thought. I think that she was trying to find ANYONE to stay with and it didn't matter who they were. She was bed and friend hopping the entire time that Caylee was unaccounted for.

Oh and I know someone (actually a few posters) had mentioned how JB scored 1 for the DT by pointing out that YM didn't check the car out after hearing it smelled funky...I heard on HLN on Sirius on my way home that juror #8 actually wrote something down at that point. So of course we don't know what she noted I just found it interesting when I heard it on HLN from some lady Vinny Politan had on that apparently watches everything the jury does and especially notices when they take note of something.

I thought that's funny to handcuff somebody, lock him up in your car cage then tell him he's free to go. LOL

I'm not sure where to ask this but I have been wondering about it lately, and I am sure I will get a million hits if I search posts for "chloroform". Has it ever been mentioned how Casey would have obtained chloroform other than speculation on here that she either got it from Cindy somehow (being a nurse) or she made it herself? Those were the only two ways I had ever heard as possibilities, I wonder how/if they will address this when the chloroform evidence is brought up.

It has not been in general anesthesia use for decades, so there is NO way Cindy would have access to Chloroform.
ICA on the other hand, did look up how to make it on her PC at home.

I wonder what the syringe was for?

I believe there would have to be some evidence that GA was involved, before the SA could bring any charges against him. If there was any such evidence he would have been arrested before this.

With the DT calling their client a liar, over and over again I don't see how GA could even be prosecuted for SA. If the defendant lied about what happened to her DD (for three years); what's to stop her from lying about her father and brother? The DT has surely painted themselves into a very tight corner...

If you mean the syringe, I think it came from CA. She's a nurse. i'm a nurse and every nurse I know has a "stash" of supplies at home, including syringes. I've always just assumed that's where she got it.

I wonder what the syringe was for?

If it had mL markings on it she may have used it to measure mL, I often use an oral syringe to measure mL of medicine. My husband's syringes for his allergy shots also have markings in mL, and looking at the link I just saw regarding how to make chloroform you of course have to measure in some form.

OH i totally agree. And i hope JB and his client pay the price for all the wrong they have done.
How could he just let this family be destroyed for that lying B@tch!
why dosen KC just stand up and say enough we cant keep doing this I did it this is what happened bla bla bla..

If you didnt do it you woudnt sit in jail for 3 years
If you are guilty and murdered your daughter yea ya sit in jail for 3 years till trial! JMO

Mark Eiglarsh on HLN said the defense IS creating reasonable doubt!
State cant prove 1st degree murder!

What if Cindy never found KC that day do u think she would have disappeard and no one would have even known about Caylee being dead.
