My thought that she didn't was because she knew Caylee's mouth would be found with duct tape on it plus she was triple bagged and thrown in the woods like she was trash. That ain't no accident.

She didn't know it was an accident until Jose Baez told her to claim it was. MO

While listening to the audio, I was reminded of this quote from Gone With the Wind: "Melly, you are a cool liar" (Scarlet O'Hara to Melanie Wilkes). Casey is a COOL liar: Her lies are effortless and convincing. Scary!

I just watched GWTW about a month ago. Forgot how much I love it, how long it is, lol, and how fantastic! I remember that scene, it was right after Scarlet shot the yankie, lol, and Melanie had to explain what the big bang was to her family!

you are right on, ICA is a cool liar!

I've only briefly scanned this thread to try to catch up with this morning's events. I slept in until 9:00am (west coast) and missed this morning's session of court. It looks like I picked the wrong day to sleep..........I've got a lot of catching up to do!

I hope you get time to watch it - a brief appearance by Jeffrey Hopkins, then the Manager of Universal Security and then Yuri and the playing of the Universal tape, with LDB leading, and then Baez got up just as we wanted to head for the Bar.....
It is electrifying to listen to the Universal tapes after hearing Baez's opening statement at trial.....

Hope you can take the time to watch this morning clips...not one boring ho-hum moment in it.

ps - wish I slept in...up at 5:00 again....

It's Jean C.

Personally, I pay no attention to anything that comes out of her mouth. I need it verified by someone credible before I believe anything she says. Pro-prosecution or pro-defense doesn't matter, I immediately ignore her comments.

Yes, if you want the defense side of the story, told as if it were the truth, watch JC on Insessions.
Later in the day if you want to hear the SA side, watch her on NG
:banghead:

I just remembered something. Remember way back when LE was questioning ICA? They gave ICA EVERY opportunity to tell the truth. LE told her that if there was an "accident" that all she had to do was say so, and they would understand. So, if there was an accident of Caylee drowning in the pool, right then and there was her chance to tell LE! But she didn't!

Right! But she had no problem calling 911, when there were protestors outside of her house!

IMO - I have thought all along that all of the deceitful qualities of the Scarlett character in Gone with the Wind are an apt description of ICA.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: afterall ... tomorrow is another day ... :floorlaugh:

Sorry you received a note. That is not okay to me.

Too bad the DT does not realize that anything posted here has absolutely NOTHING to do with the case. Our opinions or statements are just that. Nothing to do with KC's alleged crimes, or convictions, nothing to do with defending or prosecuting the charges.

Thank you, That is why I have always had my Little disclaimer in my signature line, Also I am up front with everyone that I do (blog) lol AKA post on message boards BUT NEVER on a case I am working,

OT kind of... When I was asking the LE here if we could for a Search party for Adji, They said "you don't want to get "KRONK"ED" do you"
I was in shock....

I seriously hope that ICA will one day donate her body to science so her brain can be studied. I really want to know how someone can lie like she lies...and sit there and listen to all her own lies with a straight face. I just want to know how...is there something wrong with her brain or is this environmental? I mean I have known liars but ICA is at the extreme end of the liar spectrum....kwim.

Here is what my brain keeps screaming. The defense has 1 job, create "Reasonable Doubt." All sarcasm and joking aside, has the defense proven 1 single thing to give reasonable doubt? In my opinion, they have just been fortifying the State's case. Can anyone show me where they have scored ANY points for RD?

I think it is possible that at least one juror will believe that Caylee's death was an accident made to look like a murder, regardless of whether they believe George knew or was involved or not...it is coming across, at least to me, that Casey was not careful about Caylee, not making sure she was always okay, etc...and could have either allowed her to die (i.e. in a hot car) or killed her by hitting her (not an accident, but not with intention to kill) etc...

(I am not saying I buy this, by the way, just that I could see that someone would. Casey was clearly not mother of the year and many things she did or did not do could have caused Caylee's death and after hearing all of her lies, they might be persuaded she would then move on to elaborate cover-up mode...)

When KC found out she would be charged with 1st degree murder and possible death penalty why did she not say then "it was an accident"? Besides that she is a nutcase why did she not speak up three years ago?

I thought about this a few days ago, why did she sit in jail for 3 yrs and not say it was an accident? Maybe she figured that jail is a cake walk compared to prison, and she would end up doing time for the other charges anyway, so better to have 3 yrs time served than do all the time in prison. Prison will not be protected custody from other inmates and jail is, so at least she got 3 yrs of time served in a better environment. Other wise, why sit there all this time????

I cannot wait until my daughter comes home from school. We laugh at some of the things he says. I cannot wait to tell her he asked the detective what he would of done if Casey said don't sit there Zanny is sitting there. Is anyone taking notes of all the odd things he says. I like when he asked Tony L. if Casey ever talked about killing anyone, then said did she talk about killing you. When you were at JCPenny did you buy weapons, cloroform (sp?), duct tape. Did she talk about killing anyone then. My daughter and I were just looking at eachother and shaking our heads. If this was not a case about a dead 2 year old, it would be funny.

He is way over his head with this case.

LOL, same thing going on here with hubby and calling my parents during each IS commercial. Of course, my parents have learned how to watch it on line now, lol, so we talk during sidebars, breaks, lunch, and at the end of the day. JB is way over his head!

Kealing tweet: #CaseyAnthony After listening to Casey 's police interviews, I don't know how she could testify with any credibility now.

While folding laundry and trying to catch up on some housework, I started thinking about the DT's strategy. The accidental drowning thing, I'm fine with. It's a clear defense. But when I come to this PTSD or fantasy world coping mechanism due to SA, I'm just left befuddled. And having watched the DT this entire week, I'm even MORE befuddled. I don't even think I understand exactly what it is they are arguing here. Are they saying ICA can't tell reality from fantasy? Because, clearly, she can. Are they saying she lies because she's always lied due to SA trauma? Okay, even if that's true, it sure doesn't explain partying your your know what off after your child "accidentally drowns". Are they trying to say that because of SA, ICA is not able to express emotion? I've seen her furious, I've seen her cry when her boyfriend is up on the stand, I've heard her cry on tape when talking about her mother being hard on her. Are all THOSE things not an expression of emotion? Or is the defense trying to say that ICA is insane? If that's the case, why not plead insanity? The only reason I can think of not to do that is because they know she's NOT insane.

So again...I'm completely confused as to what the strategy here is. And I think the jurors are probably equally confused.

Here is what my brain keeps screaming. The defense has 1 job, create "Reasonable Doubt." All sarcasm and joking aside, has the defense proven 1 single thing to give reasonable doubt? Would it be ethical to create any doubt if your client is guilty? IMO no. (before anyone posts about innocent until proven guilty -- I know, I know)

If she is factually innocent then why the need to create anything? Tell the truth. If Caylee drowned like they are saying -- why didn't that info come out long before now? Charged with 1st degree murder and facing the death penalty and she stays silent.... and now expects to be believed. What a farce.

I'm kind of wishing that they played the jail phone call after the Universal recording. I think it would have made a bigger impact. The way she said that the police didn't listen to anything she said. :twocents:

Maybe it's coming up after Yuri... That'd be fabulous if it does!

I wish with all my being the State would call these "imaginary people" Jose alludes to as "made up accomplices". Can someone get word to them? LOL
