the jury doesn't need to hear the chemist say he smelled death. JA's question and JB's objection speak volumes.

Besides, almost everyone has testified to smelling the smell or having casey talk about it. I think it has been established: There was a dead body in that car.

If the car still smells after 3 years, how come these pieces that they are showing don't smell?

How do we know they don't? These are fragments of evidence. Not the whole trunk. They are unlikely to stink up the whole room.

As much as we don't want to admit it, and as much as we quite possible hate the fact, JB is getting in some good points today especially. If the only evidence in this case (which it isn't) was the air tests and chromotography, then the DT could very well introduce reasonable doubt. There are all kinds of ways... chain of evidence problems; calibration problems; problems with organic compounds being in other "situations" in nature outside of a human decomposition event... etc... so I hope the jury is paying attention to all of the plethora of other evidence which, when they connect the dots, will lead to KC's conviction.

Don't hit me :-)

Don't worry, I don't think anyone here is truly the violent type. :D

I agree with you, though. The State has made a great case to prove the lesser charges, but they still haven't (and I'm sure it will be coming) shown that ICA murdered Caylee. All of these witnesses are fantastic, but, a jury member, with no prior understanding of the case is still sitting there saying, "Okay, dead body, but when do you show me that she murdered her."

Where is Baez going with asking about a swimsuit. Remember Caylee's swimsuit that one of ICA's friends mysteriously dropped off at Hopespring Dr? IIRC CA couldn't recall exactly who dropped it off.

Sorry it's been a long time since I read that and don't have a link? It was early on IIRC.

But they swam in the pool at Tony's apartments and it likely did.

Right - but then how does the DT version of GA finding a dead Caylee work?

I teach for a living. My advice to JB is to not quit his day job and get rid of his "visual aids".

In early June...

Am I missing something but Caylee was not found with a swimsuit and one was not found in the car either....anyone remember differently?

Baez with his questions beginning with "Aaaaanndd" are so annoying.

Baez standing with his darn white board again and calling the witness down, to show the jury an example of what a chromatogram(?) might look like..

Note that the picture the doctor drew had one large peak???

Kind of like that ONE LARGE peak of chloroform??Well done!!

Uh, oh....

this is not a general discussion thread. it is for discussion on what is going on in the courtroom. please take other topics to other threads.

Dr. Mike is annoying. Stammers, hard to follow, not impressed.

That was one visit to TL's pool. IMO the high readings could not be related to that one event.

Baez standing with his darn white board (easel) again and calling the witness down, to show the jury an example of what a chromatogram(?) might look like..

He mixes it up with "Nowwww...". Equally annoying, IMO.

:slap: <<sorry!

That's why it's the evidence as a whole that counts. Even if he manages to discredit one thing, there's still plenty more to fill up the reasonable doubt hole. imo
