It's a good day to be a ***geek*** kids!

From a former CIO and current Director of IT!

I love my fellow computer nerds! ((((HUGS))))

Glad to see some other geeks here. :D

"Microsoft XP program". NO, XP is an operating system. Not the same thing.

  • #564
Vista didn't come out until 2006/2007, so XP was likely the originally OS. And anyone who has Vista...you have my sympathies.

  • #565
HP commonly comes standard with Windows installed

  • #566
I remember the computers had a few internet browsers installed
IE
Mozilla Firefox

I think ICA used Google as the search engine..

  • #567
ICA is furiously scanning those documents that I'm assuming are the computer files. She's doing some serious speed reading.

  • #568
FireFox....according to the Hinky article (referenced previously in this thread) Casey used FireFox browser and Google for search, where-as CA and GA used IE browser and Yahoo for search.

  • #569
Mozilla Firefox must be downloaded, unlike IE that comes w/ Windows OS

Safari - Mac browser

If there are any "bad sites" to be mentioned, brace yourselves for "bad words" to be said. It is Court and they must be said just as is, could be specific body parts or descriptions, could be curse words. May want to have the children busy. :blowkiss:

WIHN is ICA doing? It appears she is trying to distract herself from listening to this testimony.

Who knows. I wish someone at that table would tell her to at least act like she's aware of what is happening and that she's aware it concerns her.

  • #572
Two user accounts created (not default one)

Casey was one
Owner was teh other

My son, who is in IT, commented that he was impressed and amazed to see a female forensic detective. He stated they are very rare. He is watching this part of the trial since it is area of extreme interest. LOL

every bit of info on hard drive. every bit of info that was ever on it. system files. file system that is used by the operating system and deleted files.

LDB: on the HP in particular before you, perhaps during your evaluation do you record the date and time that is on the computer when you receive it?

LDB: how is that done

I power it on, there is a function key to get in that area to get current date and time it is set to

windows XP, windows internet explorer, mozilla firefox, microsoft for XL spread sheets, facebook, myspace was loaded into user areas, peer to peer, yahoo messenger.

LDB: the micosoft XP program that is what was loaded on computer at time of purchase?

if it was completely overwritten I couldn't tell that, but it seems to have the one from purchase...(?)had been in use on that computer for quite a while

Firefox rocks!

  • #578
Uh...are we going to hear that these searches are connected to a specific user's log in?!

  • #579
Tasked w/ fishing expedition to look for ZFG!

  • #580
ICA really caused a lot of this information to come back to her by using firefox exclusively since GA and CA used different web browsers. This will help to show that she was the one who did the searches and that the firefox history was erased in the morning hours of 7/16... very damning and incriminating
