Bones is quite the busy puppy!! really...semen!! eeeewwwww

I think it's just a normal facial tic for KB to get that unhappy look on her face when asked a question - I think it's just a look of concentration.

Sorry......OT!
I've only had about a half cup of coffee.
I read your comment too fast.
Read it as :
"I think it's just a look of constipation"

With the exclusion of bomb-sniffing dogs, all other "sniffer" type dogs are being placed under great scrutiny nationwide right now, in regards to the law. I don't know where it will end up, but I have a feeling their usage is going to be greatly hindered in the future until there is a widely accepted set of Standards for their breeding, selection, and training.

You can't argue with success though...

ICA looks like a ghost, someone who's barely sleeping and probably not eating either.

It's early, give her time and she'll perk up...just wait til the jury is out of the room. :giggle:

I know. It flashed into my head that someone had to donate it for research and training. Just sayin'.

JB and KC reading something on the laptop. JB was actually laughing to himself... so busy that man..

kc and jb reading something on the computer...jb is actually laughing.PNG

Casey sure has scooted over and is now sitting shoulder to shoulder with Baez. Both are intensely watching whatever is on the laptop's screen.

Did Bones also go to the car? I know he was in the backyard - but I don't recall Bones going to the forensics garage and checking the car.

LBD: Next training school he attended?

KB will look it up in the records ...

KB: A water seminar 2007

LBD: What was Bones required to do at that seminar?

KB: Targets were on the water and the dog needed to locate the source in the water ...

LBD: Did you keep a written record of that seminar?

KB: Yes, ma'am.

LBD: Did he have false alerts?

No

LDB: Misses?

No.

LBD: Could he locate all of the intended targets?

Yes, ma'am.

Over and over again as LDB goes through the training, no false starts, no misses, able to locate all of these targets - Answer yes through each of the questions.

This witness is no longer as nervous as she was when she began.

KC - quick glance at LDB when she mentions "false alerts". WTG, LDB!!!! She's cutting JB off at the knees by questioning the witness regarding "false alerts" and no finds, and whether they are documented (a "yes" in answer to this).

And isn't this exact opposite of what Forgey stated of Gerus yesterday? Didn't he say he wouldn't record false alerts? TIA

awww.

I know other's have observed Casey reading/using what seems to be a white apple laptop. I know I am not crazy...I also notice Baez looking over at it from time to time and laughing. I am going to assume that the are reading one of the news medias blogs. I wonder if the news media can track that laptop down to see if true that they are using it in the court room because for some reason I thought that Casey was not allowed to use any type of computer/cell phone/other electronic devices. I may be wrong and over analyzing though.. Hmm...I really wonder though...:waitasec:

Just caught the tail end of ICA's smirk with JB at whatever they are looking at on that screen...

If I was testifying I think I would KNOW this information before I was questioned...

I heard last night there was a higher court case about this kind of evidence. And all this foundation and extensive info about training is being offered to avoid reversal on appeal. It was ruled (and the case was mentioned by JB yesterday) that a jury depending on this kind of evidence without knowing the qualifications and history of the dog is reversible error. I believe it was a FL supreme court opinion that happened earlier this year. moo

No, he wouldn't make an official report (not record, report) if Gerus was called out and didn't find anything.

Forgey had a good record of all false alerts, good alerts, finds, non-finds.
