I was so tense while watching, when I stood up my legs and stomach ached.
I didn't realize I was clenching my body.
Isometrics must work.
I must be more upset than ICA - she could walk in just fine.....

Same here...I just realized I am holding my breath as I watch this.

I do love this witness's "matter-of-fact" tone...bones here, bones there... all very factual. And she can't "MAKE IT STOP".

  • #1,023
Watching this testimony and watching Casey "react" to this testimony I would bet money that she is going to insist on testifying. I just wonder if the DT will be able to talk her out of it.

JA: we were discussing the significance of the split screen pictures we have up. This bone in State's exhibit "ew" that is now in evidence, the small piece of bone. Is it your belief this piece of bone fits into this area of the bone?

Yes

JA: "FB" for identification. Do you recognize as photos of bones taken at your direction?

yes. Hand and finger bones

JA: enter into evidence

HHJP: received

JA: like to publish. What is purpose of photo?

to document the skeleton, the bones that were located for the hands. Our scientific scales are in cm, I put a quarter on the screen to show how tiny. Many were found in the main area.

JA: how long did this take?

(referring to notes) the initial was December 11, with Steve Hanson until December 20th.

JA: Go to state's "ez" bones that were found?

yes

HHJP: received in evidence

JA: these bones some significance?

part of the pelvis, since it is a child, these are three bones and they will fuse as you grow. This one here there is some damage and some adopociear.

JA: what is that?

a wax

JA: where one of these bones found significant?

yes, one was almost completely buried in the muck.

JA: you will explain later why that is significant?

yes

JA: (says something) if you need to check your notes go ahead. State's exhibit...

bones layed out after recovered

HHJP: received

JA: how successful was this recovery?

in a scatter like this even when it is an adult it is hard, but this is a child, hard to get teeth. we were successful here. we have all teeth but one. all the long bones, feet, left foot, one bone on right foot.

JA: the only part missing is...

for the most part, there are a few here and there missing

JA: so this nine day effort was successful?

yes, what was recovered and the mapping

JA: ?

ronald murdock was in charge of the mapping.

JA: ?

when you say type of info?...yes we need to know spatical relationships and want things mapped out.

JA: do you recognize this as a survey?

yes

JA: is it helpful for you to explain the dispersal of the bones?

yes

JA: move into evidence...

HHJP: received.

JA: if we could zoom in on this area. now dr. does this part of the survey give us all the areas where bones were found?

yes

JA: have a specific listing of what was found in each area?

yes, I would like to provide a generalization.

JA: what is area A?

area A is what we feel is the primary area, where the body and mass of bags the body being in the bags was placed into the woods. this is where some of the body parts separated, the arms and limbs. how the skeleton is dispersed we can follow to specific locations. when I was working with the OCSO on which areas to focus on we started on A and then south of A. North is the top of the image. I was with susan. As we found remains we moved south.

This whole area was searched. we had people working this way. when an area was searched I would talk with susan and we would talk about how to expand the search. as it progressed south we talked in terms of where bones were location and I said we needed to expand west and east. start with known and expand out as bones are found. when that area was cleared: surface debris and top scraped...all I was provided I work with Ron Murdock I want the location where all the bones where found so I could talk about dispersal.

JA: area A? what was found?

I think that laptop is actually there to block the monitor to the side of it.... not that the mac had anything being displayed - its acting as a barrier from the bigger monitor.

The Judge is instructing the wiitness not to talk at the same time as question is asked...I talk fast too buddy...we feel ya.

  • #1,028
Judge getting on witness and JA for talking at same time.

Is it just me, or does HHJP sound a little impatient this morning?

  • #1,030
IMO HHJP is cranky with the wrong people this morning. :maddening:

After days end I'd bet you my house that you could not retreive any DNA off of those tissues......

I like this witness. He's very personable.

Daughter just asked if we could go over to UCF today and check out the Anthropology dept...
she hopes Dr Schultz will be back at UCF this afternoon

Cityslick while I respect your opinion, how about the Casey Cams? Millions are tuning into HLN, In-session, WFTV etc. watching this defendant. It's all we have right now.

I just can't watch ICA any longer, she is infuriating me! From this point on, I will listen to the trial & follow along here & on twitter. Can someone please fill me in on what the "I" means in front of CA? Sorry, been away for a long while... following missing/murdered children took a toll on me. I don't know how you all do it day to day like you do.

I think that laptop is actually there to block the monitor to the side of it.... not that the mac had anything being displayed - its acting as a barrier from the bigger monitor.

Well i think ICA should be forced to look at it...the jury has to...she should too. Where is that "ugly coping" now??

  • #1,036
There goes the shrinking violet over the mere mention of "skull" again. Leave us not forget, friends, that she has a documented affinity for obscenely violent films and death imagery in music, graphics, etc. Who in the world does she think she's kidding?

Reaction from Casey when doctor says Caylee's trunk and other bones were dragged to another area.

  • #1,038
It doesn't bother me that Casey appears to be crying over these photos and testimony. I am glad that the jury is seeing this..it's part of her turning on and off for them.
As soon as Cindy, George and Lee come back up to talk about how Casey helped look for Caylee when she was released, the jury will still be watching her.

When Tim Miller comes and and talks about the countless hours they spent searching, she will show her anger.

Crying doesn't faze me, and I don't think it will faze this jury. JMHO

I pay you are right!!!

Can someone explain what this means? How this could be possible after so much time? And it's relevance? Thanks

Adipocere is a result of fat decomposition that occurs only in specific conditions. The most important condition in this case is that it occurs during anerobic conditions--meaning conditions with little or no oxygen. If the body had been left immediately in the woods subsequent to death, adipocere probably wouldn't have occurred--unless, for example it was tied up securely in plastic bags. However, if the body had been left in, say, the trunk of a car fo some time, esp a car that was filled with chemicals that would take the place of oxygen (choloroform?), grave wax is likely to occur. So adipocere at the dump site indicates that the body was left out in the final resting place only after some decomposition had already occurred.

way more nose action today...not so much eye poking. Just thinking... someone told her the jury isn't looking at HER. So she is doing a reserved performance
