Ford flies are very tiny.

Like the size of a gnat.

They are able to get through very small cracks.

Blow fly is interested (they are the shiny blue green flys we see) quickest in a new food resource. Newly deceased food source? I think this is what he's saying.

There had to be some decompostion for the (ford?) flies (coffin flies I think) we see them within a few days or they may come much later weeks or even months later and they are very tiny. Mother fly can be one to 4 or 5 millimeters. They are like gnat flies, they can get into very small spaces.
