I seriously doubt they would call a jailhouse snitch to testify as one of the last witnesses.

I am thinking KioMarie Cruz would be a powerful witness for the state. She told LE long before the body was found to look there. She has said she and Casey buried childhood pets there. If I am not mistaken she also said Casey used hearts during the brural.

She also said Casey wasn't bright enough to pull it off by herself. IIRC. Personally, I don't think Casey was some sort of genuis, every shred of evidence points to her. I also don't believe Casey is any sort of "good liar" I think she sucks at it, every one of her lies has come back to bite her!

So true, The one thing I noticed is that Casey's friendships don't last long,poor Amy happened to be the friend at the time and had what other wise would have been a good time that summer. Kiomarie would be a good witness at the end. She said she talked to Casey about adopting Caylee.

Isn't there a current list of the State's witnesses? I could only find an old list online, don't have time to research further. Was wondering if there's a more current list so as to compare who's testified for the State and who hasn't.

That makes sense to me. If KC ever told the truth in her life then, if she really did go to a counselor when she was 18 on her own like she said she did,
the DT should be able to substantiate that. I'm waiting to see something like that. If not, it's all smoke and mirrors imo.

OT but relevant.....Dahlia B was just convicted for arranging a hit man to kill her new husband. Her DT presented a similarily wacky defense in their opening, mainly that she was auditioning for a reality show and her husband was in on the scheme.
It was expected she would testify in her own defense in light of the claims made in her teams opening, but she did not and was convicted. Jurors polled after the fact stated that when she didn't testify she lost all credibility and so did her defense.

I think most jurors expect to see innocent people stand up and claim their innocence publicly. With death row as a possible outcome, what would an innocent have to lose?

I wish Casey would take the stand because they would chew her up and spit her out. If she does take the stand that will be yet another thing she will wish she hadn't done.

I'm sure Casey is wishing the following were never invented:

1. the internet
2. store video cameras
3. forensic science - forensic experts for everything you could possibly imagine
4. cell phones

I'm sure you're right about that!

I do hope she takes the stand..With JB's OS, it seems to me she HAS to but I know she probably will not.

She says the state can't prove their case and therefore have resorted to junk science to try to put forth a claim of murder. She says the real science and evidence is not there.....relying on science (Body Farm) that is a research project and has never been in a courtroom before.

BBM/Red-Lee said they were all separated and questioned by LE the night Cindy called 911. He said they could hear what was being said through the walls. He said Cindy got the date wrong, Casey heard Cindy then they all just used that date...or something like that.

I need to correct something I said in a previous post.

In the July 15, 911 call, CA stated that she hadn't seen her granddaughter since June 7th (not June 9th as I mistakenly posted).

From NG CNN transcripts:

CINDY ANTHONY: There`s something wrong. I found my daughter`s car today, and it smells like there`s been a dead body in the damn car! I have not seen her since 7th of June.

This makes it even more perplexing, since June 7, 2008 was a Saturday, and 8 days before Sunday June 15th, Father's Day 2008, which CA described in great detail to the court in her testimony, even talking about a videotape she took of the visit with her father.

Then we have KC talking about June 9th, and now purportedly LA saying they all took his mother's lead about the date??!!

As a mock juror - color me completely confused, not to mention skeptical.

These dates are all over the place, and don't lend any confidence as to the family members' testimonies.

ETA: If the family was taking CA's lead as to the date - they made a huge mistake, since it was the wrong date.

Furthermore, why would the family take CA's lead as to the date at all??!! Either Caylee was missing on a certain date, or she wasn't. The contradiction in dates only lends credence to a cover-up, IMO.

Awaiting the arrival of a witness who will arrive in Orlando about 11:00am tomorrow. We assume the witness is coming by airplane from out of state.

Help! I'm legal and trial ignorant. If the prosecution wraps up their case in the next couple of days, can the defense put on a whole case with witnesses lasting for weeks? Is this expected to happen? If it does, can the state question each of these witnesses which will open the door to more incriminating things against Casey, for example Jesse Grund?

OMG -- when I think about JB OS -- I don't think the drowning/cover up theory will fly, nor the alleged gross molestation.

JVM so worried about the state not connecting the dots.

For starters, KC said she left the baby on the steps of the so called nanny, which was a lie and IMO the jury will not believe the allegations the defense is getting ready to spew, so that brings us right back to KC.

JB accusing GA of doing what he alleges and just how were the A's going to explain CMA's absence -- adoption -- so outrageous and ridiculous.

IMO, it's an insult to the jury for the DT to even think they can make their stories make any sense at all. :twocents:

iirc, it was Yuri Melich that brought it to Cindy's attention that Caylee was at the Nursing Home w/her Dad on the 15th and it was before she testified.

I don't know if you followed MJ's molestation trial but the TH's ALL got it wrong. They're wrong this time as well IMO.

My impression of the fingerprint expert was (and this is not a slam) that she is SO intelligent (kind of geeky) that she WOULD only be focused on her specific job, and as an afterthought attempted to photograph the heart shape. Some extremely intelligent people lack in the common sense dept (not necessarily her). I thought she was very credible.

Also, I can't wait for JB to present his defense theory. It appears that he will throw a bunch of stuff at the wall to see if any of it sticks. As the old saying goes "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS" JMO
