OH I like this Judge. However CA needs a different attorney. Shame the Judge has to school the attorney.

IMO, the jury is beginning to dislike JB and they hold him responsible for dragging this case on and keeping them from their families. This could really affect the way they look at his presentation of his client's innocence. moo

I don't think Mr Ashton cared if he used the presentation or not - Baez is the one that made an issue of this study ever since he knew about it in March this year. Baez brought it up at the frye hearing/jury selection and every other occasion he could.

I would have asked the defense if they printed what they received in colour or black or white - bet they only did black and white so they could complain later.

Mr Ashton is a very smart man who covered all the bases - defense going to make an issue of this study, okay, we'll get the study together for trial. Mr Ashton can get what he needs from the witness and now Baez can't go on and on about the study. So it is actually a win for the prosecution but not many people will realize this.Baez will go on about this hand banding issue until the cows come home - dead body in clients trunk and he damn well knows that will help sink his client.

BBM ITA! JA knew what he was doing, and he knew what JB would do in response. IMO, this is strategy. JA is not shady---he's well prepared and knows how to fight a case. May the best man win!

Now he's saying he couldn't replicate the study...It seems to me Baez didn't do alot of things for he was too busy doing TV interviews with InSession and CBS...

I was more than a little sickened by JB's essential whining about how poor a case they have. As if it's anybody's fault but their own! But but but judge! *stomps feet* we're being crushed by the state's evidence! I suspect someone's gotten a few too many participation medals in his day.

If the pics were emailed in color they should have been printed out in color.

They were probably printed in color and then they photocopied them with all of the rest of the evidence to hand over. I can't imagine that anyone stood around putting one page at a time in the copier. They probably just put a stack in an auto-feeder and didn't think about it. But honestly, I know as much as you guys. That's just what I imagine happened.

Still not clear on why the pictures were black and white :waitasec:

Shaw said they were e-mailed in color.

Peeks around the corner...

Because they have a black and white screen? :innocent:

Oh wait...I think I finally get it! The state is going to use this study to try to prove that Caylee didn't die in water!

(I think.)

I've been watching closely and have not seen one shred of evidence to support that opinion.

Oh I so agree! JA is the epitome of wholesome goodness and decency to me.

Perhaps JB should have spent some time in the last 3 years planning this case?

Baez probably thought that he only needed to plan his side of the case and didn't have to concern himself with the other side. ;)

  • #531
Not necessarily. My printer is set to print in b/w no matter what.

But, he would have seen the email was in color and surely would have changed his printer if it was set to b/w or grey scale. jmo

Not necessarily. My printer is set to print in b/w no matter what.

But that's not the State's problem .The DT should have changed their setting ,if that's what happened.

Jose is going to milk this for all it's worth with his objections. One small victory goes to his head.

Bingo! You have that right I think too. jmo

(I think.)

Wait- the defense is saying she's drowned so why would they argue this?

The witness is talking about the hair banding? How interesting! I'm coming in late here. I didn't know we were going to have an expert on the hair banding. Talking about his study. Wow!

I agree with you about JA. I do think, though, that he has a "thing" against JB, and will sometimes let that get in the way of the outstanding job he is able to do. He needs to just let JB, be JB, and be JA, the voice of Caylee!

JA: How did you get the hairs for the study?
SS: I went through an approval process to collect the hair samples and then I asked for volunteers to volunteer their hair samples.

I think the FBI is the shady one in this deal. They won't release the pictures to the defense a couple of weeks ago and only let them look at them at the same time giving them to the state to use in open court. Not right and I don't understand what the FBI is up to.

The state is the one that is supposed it over to the defence. The FBI doesnt have to give it to the state if they didnt want to. The state on the other hand if they have it HAS to turn it over to the defence.

JA was quick to ask the FBI guy "didnt you give copies to them" on the stand, yet he knows that is his job. He should have asked his team.
