:twocents: Let's see: Shaw's study was done to re-evaluate the John Jay study.

Now, John Jay is a well known, respected institute for forensic education & research.

And....Dr. Lawrence Kobelinsky is a professor at John Jay.

The good doctor was on the defense gang's witness list.

The good doctor has admitted recently that he remains in an advisory capacity.

SO can we guess where these questions originated?

And btw, guess who was part of thesis advisory team!

The mock juror gave up and went outside to play with new kittens.

Bad mock juror!!

Morning all.... I am really worried about this testimony. Shaw stating he cannot be for certain the hair came from a decomposing body.... worrisome!

  • #705
Endlessly frustrating despite the many times we've talked about it here -- he keeps trying to convince us that there wasn't a dead body in the car (failed, that ship has sailed), as though somehow that's necessary to his case.

But wait! He's admitted that his client saw her dead daughter! I suppose it's not difficult to imagine that we can conclude that she is in fact dead. Somebody put me out of my misery.

:cow:

^ This ^ This SO Much!

All he's done from his opening statement is try to disprove everything in his own opening statement. (Geez, he even has me talking in circles.)

Im watching tape delay. Im watching hhjp respond to JB claim that he DID object to Shaw's presentation.

so, even in a win, JB manages to make himself look stupid.

cause hhjp seems to be schooling jb on what and why the dt just won vs the SA over the power point.

i mean JB doesn't even understand why he won. and I don't even understand why hhjp is taking the time to tell him.

BBM..Who might that be? Dr. Kobi......

wait. what?? explain this to me please?

I took it to mean Q12 didn't just fall out naturally, or come from a brush or comb, rather it was pulled out of the head with force.

Wait JB just stop. You got him to admit that he can't 100% say that the hair came from a dead body. But now you're trying to say if the hair did come from a dead Caylee that the hair was somehow transferred to ICA's car????

UGH!

I can totally see how there could be hair with post-mortem banding that belongs to a living person, and from my understanding, they are wrong on IS when they say they don't know what causes the banding. Ugh. At least say when you don't know or aren't sure of what you are speaking on. (like me :) ). Anyway, back to my thought, he totally should have stopped there. How can he possibly argue transfer when the hair matches KC, CA or Caylee??

Kept losing my feed during Baez's cross. Think my computer was trying to save what little remains of my brain after his prolonged and profound inanity.

Can't Baez ask a question in a normal way? It's always in a backwards kinda way. :banghead:

I guess he's been taking lessons from his client.

I think JB is making some headway. I don't think this testimony helps the State at all. Should have been left off with the root banding on the hair found in the trunk.

Seriously?
I can't imagine the Jury can make head or tails of the point he is trying to make, or its relevance, with his convoluted and confusing stream of questions. I don't think the expert can either, and I am having big trouble following..

Why the sidebar? Anyone know?

  • #716
Sidebar: jury looks around courtroom. The jurors sitting closest to the witness pay the most attention. Like kids in front row of class.

Juror 4, who the #CaseyAnthony defense wanted, gives no indication of what she thinks. We don't know if she leans defense or prosecution.

#CaseyAnthony Female juror 15 just whispered something to male juror 16 he nodded in agreement.

JB sounds like a demented person when he asks the witness if he, and I mean JB, was present at a deposition and if it happened in Washington.

What year is it?

  • #718
Maybe the hair was pulled out from the application of the duct tape, or from Caylee being moved?

Can you explain this train of thought for me? I'm slow to catch up this morning.

Sorry, I got behind up thread. (Boys up and hungry)

It's easier to quote darnudes, b/c it's so well put:

I would have asked the defense if they printed what they received in colour or black or white - bet they only did black and white so they could complain later.

Mr Ashton is a very smart man who covered all the bases - defense going to make an issue of this study, okay, we'll get the study together for trial. Mr Ashton can get what he needs from the witness and now Baez can't go on and on about the study. So it is actually a win for the prosecution but not many people will realize this.Baez will go on about this hand banding issue until the cows come home - dead body in clients trunk and he damn well knows that will help sink his client.

That's my train of thought. And thanks to darnudes!

In the words of CA to ICA "What did you do???"
