Why didn't the State do that yesterday? It's not just the DT, gotta be fair here.

I suspect the state was originally going to ask tattoo guy what the tatt meant in english, but during a very lengthy sidebar, it was determined that it shouldnt be tattoo guy translating...

....sooo, since the state, unlike the defense, has no talent for pulling things out of their "where the sun dont shine"......they needed to get a dictionary to enter into evidence.

For the record, Linda Burdick DID try to make it more convenient for the jury and said they could present the bella vita translation yesterday and submit the evidence Thursday A.M. since Defense couldn't present on Wednesday..and CM said NO for whatever reason.

It was JA,but yes, this bears repeating .CM was a .......sitting on hands :banghead:

That's IT? Gotta say, it's a bit of an anti-climax, the way the State ended their case.

How fortunate Judge Perry is to have the learned CHENEY MASON on hand this morning to school him in the law...:floorlaugh:

OMG I could swear ICA was slighly nodding at CM's comment about solely circumstantial evidence.

Oh wow, RUDE RUDE RUDE! A commercial while the defense is speaking and we are all watching.

Is this happening in front of the jury?

What happened with the tattoo? TIA

There was discussion of how the State would bring in a page from a dictionary ,after the jury left yesterday.

Keep in mind, they have rested - but they are not done. There is still rebuttal to the DT case, as well as closing arguments.

Well, this was a strange morning for everyone! I expected the state to go out with more of a bang than they did.
Thanks to everyone who posts the trial on here. I can't watch it from work, can only read on Websleuths. You are doing a great job!

I don't like the stipulation that the tat says beautiful life. google translate "la bella vita" from italian to english says "the good life" if you translate "beautiful life" and "good life" into Italian, they both say La Bella Vita. So it could be either.
No, it's beautiful life.

The good life is something else, despite what google translate says.

Why didn't the State just rest last nite???? They could have done this bit last nite. This is all so stupid. I can't imagine how that jury feels to have their precious time wasted.

What else would the jurors be doing? They were selected to serve on this trial and are committed to be there when necessary. I was on a jury that was expected to show up one Monday morning, per usual, just to have the Judge tell us that the case had been dismissed.

What's happening now, happens in ALL murder trials. It's their job.

Circumstancial evidence is equal to direct evidence. Period. The judge will instruct the jury on it prior to deliberations
