By the look on her face, she HONESTLY BELIEVED CM when he told her "watch this baby, I'm gonna have you outta here by noon"

ITA! I think she believes she can lie her way, charm her way out of anything.

My ears perked up when he mentioned "Felony murder". Man she's going down for first degree murder, she has to. Chloroform on your kid is aggravated child abuse!

LDB writing, probably noting all the cases for her next Capital Murder trial.

Or chili party on Hopespring ;)

The day ICA goes home to Hopespring will be "chili" indeed! I cannot imagine she would be welcomed there but stranger things have happened.

Not HHJBP, not in his court! :nono:

This language from the Florida Supreme Court in the Serrano case is important.

“[A] motion for judgment of acquittal should be granted in a case based wholly upon circumstantial evidence if the tate fails to present evidence from which the jury could exclude every reasonable hypothesis except that of guilt.” Id. at 1146. However, “[t]he tate is not required to ‘rebut conclusively every possible variation’ of events which could be inferred from the evidence, but only to introduce competent evidence which is inconsistent with the defendant's theory of events.” Darling, 808 So.2d at 156 (quoting State v. Law, 559 So.2d 187, 189 (Fla.1989)). “Once the State meets this threshold burden, it becomes the jury's duty to determine ‘whether the evidence fails to exclude all reasonable hypotheses of innocence ․, and where there is substantial, competent evidence to support the jury verdict, [the Court] will not reverse.’ “ Reynolds, 934 So.2d at 1146 (quoting Law, 559 So.2d at 188).

The bolded portion just re-states the rule in the positive rather than the negative. Here, the state has already done that in the prosecution's case in chief.

Thank you - aggravated child abuse as a predicate for felony murder.

When the Judge is done reading all of these cases, I hope he relates everything to THIS case and states all of the evidence and circumstances the SA has presented that validate his ruling of DENIAL!! The DT looks totally defeated right now. They MUST put some type of defense on. IMO, MOO

ICA actually looks like she thought she was going to get an acquittal.

I really liked Judge Strickland but I do think JP is the best Judge ever for this case.....

I liked Judge Strickland's statement: Ms. Anthony and the truth are strangers.

Well put!

You know I forgot premeditated can be in a flash, so it's true that three pieces of duct tape shows premidation...could have stopped herself. So even if the chloroform searches aren't believed, there it is.

What's Baez doing here?

Texting Geraldo, LKB, AL, Wendy Murphy, Jennifer Barringer for help? :loser:

OK, here the Judge goes with the evidence presented in THIS case!!

Strickland was a good judge but Judge Perry is the man for the job in this case.
Yes, I have heaps of respect for Judge Strickland, but I truly feel after his recusal, that HHJP was literally a God send to this case

I don't think I personally could say whether or not chloroform was ever actually used on Caylee. BUT, I am sure, beyond a reasonable doubt, that she was duct taped. AND "caged".

  • #1,055
HHBP saying there is more than 1 act of child abuse. Duct tape, chloroform, placed in a bag, statements made by others.

Could ICA look MORE bored and disinterested??!! She slays me!!!

Hey I see a lot of CM haters posting today.. Just hink about his... Do you really think it was easy for JB to find someone to make him look good.... OK poor choice of words... look better..ommmm adequate? Like when does the hot body contest start? Why is HHJP talking about neket boys?

Judge P listing the actions very slowly and clearly. KC shooting daggers

MORE THAN A SINGLE ACT!
She is damn lucky she doesn't live here, where judges do the ruling!
I won't be debating with anyone whether or not Casey is guilty anymore.
I'm going to upload this (Judge Perry's arguments) to youtube and post when replying.

Casey looks like she no longer has a use for HJBP. He has been very respectful of her and has made sure she is receiving a fair trial but what he is reading is really pissing her off. Just wait til he rules, I predict we will not see the inmate smile at his jokes with the jury any longer.
