We should start a 'swear jar' for every time JB starts a question with 'Now....'

Witness will not hold up well. He is already shaken by JA. Note the stuttering and hesitation. All he can think about now is JA...

I think you got that right!! JA was actually smiling when JB thought he had "won" this ruling!! IMO, MOO, etc

Like I said.....I went swimming.

Now my hair smells like the pool. I must be a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer!

I was gonna post this and forgot what it was until I read your post.

Did JB ask Furton how long he's used/studied/whatever gas chromatograph mass spectrometery? I wanted the guy to ask JB 'how long have you been able to say gas chromatograph mass spectrometer?'

JB just did it again!!! of course the chloroform peak wasn't just from human decomp!!! because she made it and used it!!!

((cannot wait for cross))

Knowing what he is facing when JA gets to cross, this witness appears very nervous and unsure of himself to me.

see above

Help me out here, please. :)
See what above? I only meant JP and JA were saying the same word, and it was a bit amusing. NO offense intended to the prosecution, or anyone here, ever. :(

Bold is mine..

Me too some times haa

Witness: found in urban trash bins.

Kat: GARBAGE bins! How many times do we have to do this?!

After the morning report regarding ICA and competency I am looking at her differently today.

All her behaviors, reading, smiling, not smiling makes me believe that she isn't paying 100% attention to her own case ....she zones in and out and is in her own mind. And in her own mind she is just blowing off most witnesses and waiting and waiting to tell her own story. There are a few witnesses who interest her ie Tony, CA, LA, and a few of the earlier former friends, Yuri....but she is 'off'.

JB w/Furton profer - what do you know about chloroform? General knowledge chemical compounds from education and training....referred to World Health Organization report on chloroform - thorough review of documents and peer reviewed articles refer to chloroform and it's environment....how long have you used GCMS? 25 years...chloroform come up in frequently? used as a solvent and have seen it's chemical compounds....could you tell us about consumer products and chloroform...google scolar...some websources on internet....these sources for rendering opinoins? depend on the source...in cases where no peer reviewed study I would use the information with caution....been told not to refer information about the most recent findings...opinions render have nothing to do with most recent internet research you have done....

JA - ever done any research bout presence or absence of chloroform in household products? no ....what experience other than reading what experience....as an analytical chemist is compounds of chemicals....based upon what you have read not what you have done....done peer reviewed articles and dr. Vass reports and articles...

JA - witness can give an opinion but cannot regugitate to jury what he has read....a witness may not be used for information...ie: I read somewhere household cleaners can contain chloroform....this witness cannot .....if I may quote Mr. Mason's friend Mr. Airheart pg 6767...Lind has apparently resolved an expert cannot testify on evidence ....if this witness is saying this level of chloroform ...violate Lind

JB - I thought we agreed to this before lunch....he is saying this based upon experts reasonable relied upon....not to bolster with the journals I have cautioned him about that ...not to name research or improper bolster...going around in circles Judge you made a ruling.....

JA I think the court can understand my argument

HHBp - Dr can give his opinion he can simply regurgitate his opinion.....

can on cross refer to it if questioned about what he based his research on....Dr. Furton understands conditions of ability to testify about his opinion....

Thanks for this recap....However, I do recall that JA can ask on cross what he based his opinions, and I suggest Dr. Furton have some good sound peer reviewed articles to mention or else his whole testimony could be stricken if he cannot and his opinions are based on "Hearsay" informations...

JB has been warned..so cannot complain if the worst happens :floorlaugh:

Uh uhm Methyl regurgitate chloride regurgitate uhm ahem decomposition...Oh oh HHJP said Cross really cute. HAHAHAHAHA!:floorlaugh:

All that discussion for such little questioning on direct!!

oohhh kay - how are we getting to decomp from chloroform (yeah, I know I know but the argument is that the chloroform is not from decomp, but rather the impetus)
