Omg, this witness is contradicting himself left and right!

First he says no, then he cites Vass, then he says Vass's studies aren't better, then he concedes they are. Yeesh!

This is a first for me. Never seen a defense witness testify to the validity of a prosecution witness in forming their opinion!

Isn't he supposed to say "they're wrong and I'm right"? LOL

I've never eaten meat so I don't know much about processed versus other types but even I find it insulting to dare compare pieces of salami with a decomposing human body.

Never? :waitasec:

The witness has no confidence left when he is answering his questions....I believe Vass will be believed by the jury over this defense witness. IMO

Jeff Ashton is truly brilliant.
He 'out-experts' the experts.

I am so grateful he is one of Caylee's attorneys!

As I wrote in the "Jeff Ashton & Prosecution Support Thread," I appreciate and admire the way he shows respect to the experts even when he is decimating them. It's really intellectually stimulating & fun. To me the contrast with JB's evident lack of respect for the State's expert witnesses is very striking. As a scientist-in-training, I really respect how Ashton has made himself an expert in these topics.

Aw c'mon, you have to admit it's fun watching another defense witness get Ashtoned!! :floorlaugh:

I wonder if we're allowed to refer to JA as "The Ashtonater"!? :rocker:

I really wish I had the pencil sword fighting picture so I could put it next to this one. Oh my.

I wish JA would ask him if HIS study was performed under the CSI lab standards that JB keeps reminding that Vass's lab isn't.

Here we go!

Can all of the evidence be explained by the presence of a dead human body in the trunk of the car?

Witness: It could be explained by the presence of a dead human body... if chloroform was also present!!!!!!

  • #495
Dr. F just said "we need more studies to find the source of human decomposition." Now, I'm no chemist, but I generally say the source of the human decomposition is the dead human body....again, I'm NOT a chemist.

Additional chemicals like Febreeze?? :floorlaugh:

So, in summary it would appear that JB has been thwarted once again by JA. JB wanted the jury to hear that chloroform was found in bleach and other cleaning products....

JA is kind of ruining that for him!

:great:

Am I the only one who doesn't like JA too much at ALL? To me he comes across mean, <snip>. JMO

I doubt youre the only one. But I <3 him. IMO, he isn't 'mean', but passionate. Justice for Caylee! :)

Good grief, I'm beginning to think JB and the witness are setting the stage for CA to testify she cleaned the car with chemicals that accidentally made chloroform.

They might but then it would throw away some of the defense testimony basically saying, there couldn't have been a dead body here because they found just one insect leg and not a trunk crawling with critters and because they found just one hair etc.

One of those chemicals is in raid.I think .I am going to get it and list them in a second. Just to make sure I am correct.
