A Closer Look at John Fernie

It is an interesting mistake. If it is not the typists fault and John said that ....

I listened to the videotape. That's what he said. I followed it by listening and by watching his mouth. He said "3:00 in the morning."

While following the tape, I caught at least three other misstatements. It was interesting to listen and read along with the transcript at the same time. The media sticky thread is the first sticky at the FFJ site and the LKL links are on page 5 of that sticky thread. The "3:00 in the morning" segment is on the second video link in the series on page 5 as posted by "Why_Nutt."

Do you know how insane it must have been at 3:00 in the morning at the Ramsey house. Burke heard it. I know he did. He is repressing it big time.

HAVE A NICE WEEKEND. I AM ON MY WAY HOME. BUT I AM GOING TO STOP OFF AND BUY A LAMP FIRST. I AM IN THE MOOD.

NICE TALKING TO YOU THIS WEEK.

I think he is repressing big time, too. Maybe not so subconsciously. Maybe out of loyalty to his parents. (make that parent). Maybe out of fear. Not fear for his own safety, maybe fear of having lis life turned upside down- father in jail, mother dead, grandparents dead, sister dead. Just little 'ole BR and Aunty P. I'd keep my trap shut, too.

We know that John Fernie continued to support JR throughout the whole investigative process. Does anyone know why Barbara Fernie did not continue to support Patsy?

I think eventually many saw that the Ramseys were only trying to defend themselves vs finding Jon Benets killer they were not acting like the parents of a murdered little girl. They were acting like parents more interested in self preservation. IMHO Who would cast doubt on anyone and every one rather than have the microscope turned toward them. They were not being cooperative at all JMHO

Just a couple of obversations:

It was pg. 34 in PMPT that says Patsy called at 6:00 A.M. to Cliff Gaston.

Haven't done any map quests on the driving times (but good thinking!) I am sure that's been done years ago)!!!

As far as the (two) 911 calls, this might be confused with the night that supposedly Fleet accidently called 911. ??

I read PMPT, but that's something I missed/forgot. Who was Cliff Caston?

PMPT, pg. 34

Cliff Gaston was Allison Shoeny's (Priscilla White's sister) boyfriend who had spent the night at the White's house on 12/25.

When Patsy called the Whites @ 6:00 AM the next morning (After reading the RN), Cliff answered the phone.

Hope this helps.

He should be resembling someone with Torettes before long if he does not deal with it.

yes,and he's going to be sick and tired of feeling like he's been stomped into submission some day,and I predict he's going to rebel against the lies he's been told to keep, although he may not publicly admit them.

Fernie reading the Ranson Note while outside of the house is not worthy of a mention?!

I found Fernie's statement odd, too, RiverRat. Didn't he say he read it through the butler-kitchen door? What's your view on what Fernie said about reading the note through the door? I could only see that it meant either of three things: John and Patsy had placed the note in a location they did not disclose to the police (meaning they forgot their story and/or lied), or Fernie remembered incorrectly, or Fernie purposely lied.

Finally, someone is asking the question that has bothered me for years!!!!

Fernie said he read the "first line or two" from looking through the glass patio panel door and the not was lying on the floor just inside the door".

Two Questions: How far away is this from where supposedly the RN was first found on the spiral staircase?

And, why would it be lying on the floor anyways?? Was is put there intentionally by PR or JR for a reason?

I thought this was strange, and have wondered if Fernie made this up??

Littledeer,
You are correct. It is very strange. I don't know what to make of it though. I do NOT believe that he could have read any of the note through the glass door.

I think he could do that. The note was on the floor where John said he left it and was looking at it. He went upstairs to get dressed, he said and Patsy was calling in the troops. He could see in the kitchen from the glass doors, why not?

You may be right. I know that I would not be able to read it, but then again I am like half-blind anyway. :) Why didn't anyone actually pick up the note to read it?? Why is everyone either crouched in their underwear reading it, or reading it through a glass door??

it was found w. no fingerprints on it,so seems everyone had to say it was on the floor? did that inc. Fernie too, though? seems no one wanted to touch the note,or say they had anyway....even though they would all have had innocent reasons to..
I know FW said he was not the one who arrived first, and that JF was already there, and JF says FW was the one already there.I believe FW.
why would Fernie lie? something else went on...
