........well, so back to my question about why Desiree and Kaine's profile, albeit not full profile, is on the flier asking for people to come forward if they saw ANY OF THE PEOPLE.

A chin is not enough for John Q Public to even know who the photo is of.

It was clear to most people that LE were interested in information about Terri and Dede.

Of the millions of people who have viewed those flyers, not one person, not one media outlet has come to the conclusion that you have.

Speaking for myself only, an animal lover to the max. A dog's nose is extremely sensitive. If my dog had a scraped, bleeding, nose, and there was no cleaning and antibiotic placed on it, or a trip to the vet, and an infection began - I would want money for the vet bills. I would definitely press charges if my puppy/dog was injured by, what I thought, cruel and unusual treatment. I would press charges to ensure that person would never dog watch again. No doubt about it. moo mho

I agree. Dede should have been exposed. But, fortunately, and I mean HALLELUJAH! what she did to this dog...how she treated t day after day for 5 or 6 days...is now coming out on the Internet.

This is almost better than charges...the exposure is wider. I know any place I can bring this and write a comment I will.

People relate to helplessness...normal people anyway. The idea of cruelty day... after day... after day... after day... after day... after day (is that 6 times?)...coming home to see blood...and a thirsty, hungry frightened dog. And then doing it ALL OVER AGAIN the next day...that will resonate about Dede.

People will remember this. This defines her.

I'm the first to admit I have an unique way of looking at things. Despite the lack of curiosity from others, my curiosity hasn't been resolved. They are on that flier, and ANY OF THE PEOPLE is used by LE. I didn't make it up; it's there for everyone to see.

It really does seem to me that Dede has been involved closely enough with Terri that LE were able to get a warrant to search Dede's home. They had to provide a reason to search the home to a judge to get the warrant signed. I am sure that we'll be provided these details soon enough...

But considering the bat phone, the warrant and search, and this:

The pair also assumed they were under surveillance. "Any conversations that we wanted to have, we'd go out into the yard," Spicher says. "When we were in the house, we'd talk about the kids, we'd talk about her marriage, talked about her family."

Makes me wonder what they had to go outside to talk about.

IMO the flier is very misleading if it was meant to elicit information about Kaine and Desiree.

It says "Photos of Terri Horman", and not Photos of Terri and Dede and Kaine and Desiree below the photos.
And the questions include only "Did you see Terri Horman" and "Did you see Dede Spicher", not "Did you see Kaine Horman" etc.

But people could have mentioned seeing Kaine or Desiree or anyone else in the visitors question or any other useful information part.

Maybe they meant "either of the people" instead of "any"?

Well, one of them is a self-described animal abuser. The other is described by LE as soliciting a murder for hire.

I haven't anyone like that in my acquaintance, but I would not want limit the possibilities of their covert discussions in any way.

Yeah, that's what I think, too. If I were going to avoid surveillance, I wouldn't talk about my shattered marriage inside where I believe there to be listening devices, especially under the circumstances that the marriage shattered.

It is hard for me to comprehend that LE would be so sloppy that they put out a completely misleading flier.

Not only is it very likely to fail to elicit the wanted information because people who don't know the original photos don't recognize the chins but it is also very unfair because people widely misunderstood it to be a flier about Terri and Dede, unjustly painting them as the prime suspects if it's really Kaine and Desiree. LE never corrected that it's not what we meant at all.

Do you believe, if you are going to be gone for the day, that a dog should be left with a supply of clean water for his thirst?

If yes, then Dede abused this puppy.

Do you believe , if you are going to be gone for the day...and coming home the first day...you realize the puppy has not had water for the whole time...do you believe you have a responsibility to rectify that problem?

If yes, then Dede abused this puppy.

Do you believe if you are gone for the whole day, that a puppy should be left with some food?

If yes, then Dede abused this puppy.

Could you listen to the yelping, come home to the blood, repeat this with no attempt to help this animal? None. Could you watch the suffering and later write a cutesy blog post about it?

Not in a million years could I have endured one moment of seeing that puppy suffer...as Dede was able to observe nonchalantly for days.

Well i must say i do find it odd that they would use those pictures and that if I were one of the other people i'd be well pissed about it. At the same time I also find it unlikely that the general public would see that it had much relevance as all the media focus has been on TH/DD up to this point.

You have given me much pause for thought though, and i'm wondering if others did see it that way and if LE were given any tips in that regard. I would find it odd if no one else took it the way you have presented it although my belief would be that it is in the vast minority (perhaps what LE was angling for)

I have a cat, Skittles (I call her Tubby). When she was a kitten, I left her and her brother Snickers in my apartment. There was a bowl of food and water in every room of the house. I left water in the tub in case they managed to tip over the water. What I didn't plan on was that the wind would blow one of the bedroom doors closed, with Tubby on the inside. I was gone 2 days, and by the time I'd gotten back, she'd tried to claw her way out from under the door and caused some bad chafing on her front paws in the process.

I'm not a bad pet owner, and sometimes things happen. Dede sounds like she left the puppy in a room, not a crate, and tried to figure out what the puppy was doing to hurt itself, and figured out after a few days that he was sticking his nose under the rough door. She didn't force the puppy's nose under the door and take the chunk off the puppy's nose herself. She couldn't figure it out for a few days.

I don't agree with taking the food and water from the puppy, but then I also don't know how long she was gone during the day. Was it for an hour, a couple hours, what? I don't know.

All I know is this was blogged 2 years ago about something in her indeterminate past, and I can't see how it pertains to Kyron, since Kaine says she was rarely at his home, and can't remember more than a few times he's ever seen her.

It doesn't sound like it would be too hard to figure out why he was bleeding and if it wasn't even my dog and I saw blood I would have been running him to a vet.

Maybe they just did a bad job of cutting? If they really wanted people to identify Kaine and Desiree, they'd have their full pictures on there, not pieces of their faces. I doubt someone would able to pick out Kaine's chin from anyone else's. It's an interesting thought, but I doubt there's a conspiracy against Kaine and Desiree here. They are the victims of this, not the focus of the investigation. I think most people in the Portland area sympathize with them, so if parts of their faces on are there, it wouldn't matter if the person looking at it doesn't think Kaine or Desiree is involved. They would just ignore that and focus on the center of the picture, Terri.
