I don’t have information for 2/13/17, but RA came into the prison on Prozac, so potentially had been on antidepressants for some time. Haldol is a different class of meds - an anti-psychotic.

Richard Allen, accused of murdering two teenage girls in Delphi, Indiana, is on trial and Day 11 of the trial began with testimony from several witnesses including Steve Mullin, John Galipeau, Ethan Drang, and Michael Clemons.

Plus RA was only given that drug for a short period of time when he raged out in his cell, breaking things, banging his head on the wall, refusing to eat, except his pooh, drinking out his toilet, and ate the paper discovery, etc. As we know now, he even became violent in Cass County Jail recently.

This all coincides with the timeline of State's discovery being delivered to RA. Before that, even his Defense said he was an affable, polite Defendant working with them on his case (Nov-April). They weren't concerned about his mental health until late March, early April.

Yet, they still refused to get an independent Psych eval. Why? I believe because it would have shown the truth that he was faking and it would have been provided to the State when they had to turn over RA's Medical Records.

Or maybe they DT really didn't give a care? Who knows with R&B? I certainly can't understand one thing they've done to advance the notion that RA is innocent in any logical, legal way, period.

June 8, 2023: Allen’s depression “at its peak,” noted trembling, knees buckling.
June 16, 2023: Allen receives another dose of psychotropic medication.
Late June, 2023: Allen’s mental health improving.
October 2023: Allen was proclaiming his innocence.

Really suspicious to me that RA's mental health was considered okay until the April through June timeline. One more coincidence in a sea of coincidences.

The IDOC had every right under a Psychiatrists/Mental Health expert recommendation to treat RA with something to keep him from being violent to himself and others as his history has shown he can be prone to do. It looks like he had 3 injections, not daily "let's dose him into a vegetative state."

RA wasn't raging and banging his head against the walls daily, eating and rolling around in pooh. RA had outbursts at different times, especially connected to conversations he had with his Wife and Mother about his guilt and their reluctance to acknowledge or talk to him about it.

Explosive anger and rage because he'd lost his control over the only true people whom he felt loved him IMO.

How would we know? The judge didn’t allow the hearing to be recorded or streamed. And Judge Gull’s order was so vague and without any reference to law, it gives no meaningful information. That’s the problem with a complete lack of transparency. From media reports, it sounds like they did bring evidence of 3rd party suspects, and some psych testimony, and a cult expert but it’s impossible to glean exactly what evidence was presented.

Someone said they read a transcript of the 3-day hearing. Does anyone know where that can be found?

Murdersheet and others attended those hearings. That witness was not introduced by the defence. This is the problem. That story in the Franks refuses to die even though the defence never produced the witness. @m00c0w astutely noted that suddenly that confession argument disappeared from their closing argument after the 3 day hearing.

It takes a huge amount of time now trying to find links. When I find what I'm looking for I'm going to update that list.

13 Things To Know From The #Delphi Murders Trial Today - Nov 1

1. Today was the first full day of testimony for the defense. They had a strong strategy to counter Thursday’s damaging jailhouse confessions played for the jury. But that strategy blew up in their face.



2. They called Max Baker to testify. He’s a defense team intern who compiled months of prison video obtained through discovery, including video of Richard Allen in & out of his cell—highlighting his treatment & mental decline. Could have been powerful, but the jury never saw it.

3. Prosecutor Nick McLeland objected to jurors seeing the IDOC videos bc the defense couldn’t verify the dates they were recorded. Judge Gull ruled the jury CAN see the videos at a later date—IF the defense can prove the videos are from the same time period of RA’s confessions.



4. The defense was still able to get the jury info suggesting Allen was mentally impaired at the time of his confessions. IDOC behavioral health director Dr. Deanna Dwenger testified RA was diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness & designated Gravely Disabled around that time.

5. She also said solitary confinement can be toxic for mental health & could have made RA worse. So while jurors didn’t get to see prison videos to help counteract the powerful audio statements, the defense did start planting seeds about RA’s mental health at time of confessions.


6. Before discussing the other witnesses, it’s important to mention what Gull ruled at the end of today’s testimony. She ruled (again) the defense CANNOT introduce evidence & witnesses related to their Odinism & alternate perpetrator theory—a big part of the defense strategy.


7. Former Delphi police chief Steve Mullin & former Carroll Co sheriff Tobe Leazenby also testified today. The defense blasted Mullin for erased suspect interviews early in the investigation & got Leazenby to acknowledge he originally thought there were multiple killers.


8. Local residents Brad Heath & David McCain told jurors what they saw the day Abby & Libby were killed. Baker said he saw a blue car that seemed out of place near the trail & McCain took photos on the Monon High Bridge the afternoon of the murders. Said he didn’t see Bridge Guy.


9. Chris Goote, a police officer who helped interview possible suspects right after the murders, said he didn’t recall anything from his interview with Brad Weber (now of interest to the defense). Even after being shown a report about his interview, he still recalled nothing.


10. Former Delphi fire chief Darrell Sterrett testified he helped search along the creek the night the girls went missing, but he & others didn’t see the bodies in the woods or the clothes recovered the next day from the creek. Were they just hard to see in the dark or not there?


11. Today’s testimony was punctuated by frequent objections, sidebars & delays. Don’t expect that to change. McLeland seems very willing to fight to prevent jurors from seeing evidence & testimony that he wants excluded. And some of today’s testimony was ripe for objection.


12. Jurors continue to be engaged & ask great questions. My favorite of the day was a question that led the DOC mental health expert to explain to jurors how to tell when an inmate has a real mental illness & when they are faking it—something these jurors will be asked to decide.

That isn't the only or even the main piece of evidence. RA saying he is BG at the time and in the clothes and then repeatedly confessing to the crimes in detail are the main pieces of evidence against him.

His car is captured on camera.
He threw away his phone.
The van interruption explains the creek crossing.
He is lucid in his confession to his mother.

I’m reading the transcripts now. IIRC there was some issue with getting the witness there or something to that effect.

It’s more complex than that. FBI agents are federal employees of the DOJ and they are exempt from state subpoenas if there are other methods of obtaining the info. Hence, calling Goottee to try to get the info. My guess is the DOJ would allow the agent to testify, but only if he’s allowed to do so remotely.

He lost a (something like) 96 to 4 shot in his favor that a cartridge from the crime scene would point to some other gun out there and definitely not his.
