Do you think ICA killed Caylee on purpose or it was an accident?

That's a question I've asked myself for the last three years. JMO, I now believe she killed Caylee on purpose. She made that decision. She knew the risks when she wrote that diary entry, and when she posted that "Why do people kill people who kill people" myspace graphic. Certainly, she also said she would lie, steal, and cheat to prove her innocence or whatever reason available.

In all honesty, I think it was accidental...I think she was using chloroform on her daughter and it resulted in her death. However, every action she has taken to "protect" herself since has set her up for a 1st degree murder conviction.

I just got into this case and at first I thought it was an accident but now I'm thinking she did murder Caylee...It's just so hard for me to wrap my head around it.

One of the problems with Chloroform as an anesthetic is that it results in a nasty nausea when coming out of it. There was no instances of Caylee being reported very nauseous. Further Chloroform is carcinogenic, and I'd bet ICA knew it. If one wants to knock out a child there are much more available and safer drugs like benadryl, etc.

Ok...So far, 82% thinks it was on purpose and 18% thinks it was an accident...I wonder what the jury is thinking?

Benadryl takes a while to act, and with some kids it doesn't calm or sedate at all; instead, it causes hyperactivity.

Chloroform, on the other hand, acts instantly.


I don't have an opinion one way or the other on whether Chloroform was used... but it would act much quicker and decisively than something over the counter. And I really don't think Casey cared one way or the other whether Caylee were eventually to develop cancer. She never intended on her living that long, IMO.

I answered "by accident".

Having said that...I have a lot more info that the jury does. If I was on the jury I think I'd be going with "on purpose" at this time.

like maybe Zanny "Xanax" the Nanny? How clever she thought she was when she thought up that moniker - a funny way for her to explain to her parents where Caylee was.

Chloroform or not - the child was suffocated with duct tape.

IMHO, if Caylee died by accident ICA would have confessed already, YEARS ago. Who sits in jail for 3 years because of an accident? No one would, no one. Sadly, accidents happen everyday and because she killed her on purpose or knowing she could die from the chloroform and duct tape it has taken her 3 years to come up with another inmates sad situation (the child drown/Grandpa tried to save him, 911 was called). But, ICA made that story her own and twisted it with hmmm let's throw in Grandpa GA got rid of her body by either wrapping her up in garbage bags and tossing her body on the side of the road or he gave it to RK to get rid of, then hmmm let's add that not only did Caylee drown but she only drown because Grandma CA left the pool ladder down, and let's add in big brother molested me, and Dad molested me. She thinks that story is going to get her acquitted and make JB a 'sensation' and get him a talk show or whatever he is looking to do after this case because I am pretty sure he has no plans to continue practicing law after this case, and so here we are today.

If ICA had one shred of dignity for her daughter she would have confessed and taken a plea, she has turned the death of her child into this mockery.

ps. on the chloroform, in my novice opinion I think she was making it in her car trunk and planning on using it on CA & GA (and maybe even practiced using it on Caylee before and on Amy to steal her $400) and I think that is why it was in the trunk. I do believe she used it and planned to ultimately use it on her parents to get the house and whatever monies they had. I believe that June 16th no one was around to babysit Caylee, CA wasn't answering her phone because of ICA and her fight the 15th and ICA was FURIOUS and had to get to Blockbuster with Tony and spend the night with him, without Caylee. So, absolutely furious that no one could watch Caylee she taped her face with the duct tape and put her in the trunk and because the chloroform was already in the trunk (soaked into the rug) it knocked Caylee right out and she died. I doubt ICA even went to check on her after her temper tantrum that caused Caylee to be duct taped. IMHO, ICA spent that night with Tony while an already dead Caylee was in the trunk and ICA a couple days later went into got to get rid of the body, etc mode.

IMHO, Casey murdered Caylee because she was becoming more verbal and would soon be able to tell George and Cindy that staying with the "Nanny" was really bunking with multiple boyfriends. Cindy would have taken Caylee away from her. Casey wanted to be free and she also wanted to hurt Cindy because she was jealous of the relationship between her mother and Caylee. Killing her was the only way to solve all of her "perceived" problems. Though not legally insane, I believe she is a sociopath.

Caylee should still be with us. If Casey was in any way "normal" she would have left her daughter with her parents and moved on with her party life. Such a sad ending to a beautiful child's life.

I voted "on purpose"... Her behavior has never indicated sadness or loss, which is a normal human response if one ACCIDENTALLY lost their beloved child to drowning.

I didn't vote because I don't know if it was on accident or on purpose. At the minimum, I think if it were accidental whatever the accidental reason she could not call 911 because neglect would be found forensically both on Caylee and Casey. I've wondered if perhaps ICA was on any kind of drugs or drugs could be found in her system if she had been tested during those 31 days. I also think whatever may have been found in Caylee's system was so bad it was worth ICA allowing her remains to fully decompose until becoming skeletonized.

I'm sorry to have even typed that but those are the things that cross my mind that I know only ICA has answers too.

Maybe deep down I just don't want to admit that ICA purposely murdered her child when there were so many other options. For example, think of all of the children who go into the foster system and are eventually adopted where the biological family is denied being able to foster or adopt. ICA could have made up these same lies about her father and brother (and probably come up with a few more) to ensure her family would loss all legal rights to Caylee. (If ICA wanted to be really spiteful).

I also think if this were really an accidental drowning ICA would be the type of person to want to wallow in all the pity and sympathy she would have gained as a mother. Leaving no room for any reasoning on the choices she made. She would have been back to the one being coddled with all the attention, not sitting in jail for the last three years.

Yes, but just one time. IMO it was used to put Caylee out while ICA put the duct tape over her face. I can imagine the fight that would have resulted if ICA had tried to duct tape her when she was awake. She had to knock her out, also because she didn't want to face her when she killed her, IMO.

On purpose! The two hours of no cell phone use on June 16th, accompanied with the Blockbuster video, stench of death in the sunfire, dumping of the sunfire, non-stop partying for 31 days, lie after lie after lie and finding Caylee dumped in the woods like trash says it all for me.
