According to Ron's Lawyer Misty Never Returned This Weekend.

Not buying that NG actually has breaking news on anything and not buying the story Ronald L. Cummings criminal defense attorney is disseminating.

Stilettos, I have to agree with you. I also don't buy anything that Ron Cummings or his attorney put out. We do not know that Misty is the last person to see Haleigh alive. I tend to doubt it, myself. She may have been one of the last people to see Haleigh alive, but not necessarily the last one to see her alive.............

If Misty is in rehab it may be serving a very good purpose for her defense, especially if drugs were involved in Haleigh's death. Should charges come down on that, the fact that she has completed rehab may work a little in her favor when it comes time to face a judge. It's very common for people facing drug related charges to admit themselves into rehab to gain favor with the court. Just a thought...

No, I don't believe Ronald is about to be arrested. I don't know about Misty working with LE tho.

I still think it is possible she went into a private mental health facility for the time being to protect her from her own family and to give her a break from the intense scrutiny of the nation. It would be a wise move on her attorney's part if he talked her into something like this, imo. No one can release information on her and no one can get to her.

A few days ago on another thread, I suggested she may be at a mental ward or rehab. I thought the woman in scrubs may have worked at such a place and heard info. about the case. Just strange that this messenger came on the scene soon after Misty left. I thought her going away to a mental facility would make more sense than her strolling along the beach with a BFF. I'm just scrambling for ideas like everyone else on here.
Perhaps the story of the psychic messenger was released to distract people from the truth of what the letter REALLY said? Has the letter been published?
With the letter form Nay Nay, it was published in black and white for the
world to see. Nobody really knows yet what this mystery letter says for sure.
Seems funny to me that a few days ago, the editor of the paper said
this tip could be amazing and volitile. Now, it's just another goose chase?
He sure seemed convinced it was something serious....
And I agree, if it was really an FBI agent/informant, why would he need
to send a messenger?

If Misty was out on the beach, seems like there would be pictures of her frolicking in the waves by now. JMHO

I don't understand why they can't arrest every person who they believe was involved, charge them with Murder 1, withholding evidence, tampering with evidence, interfering with an investigation, drug possession, etc, whatever they need to do, and keep them there. Don't let them bond out. I can think of about five people right off the top of my head. They should put them all in the cell together, let them spend a couple of weeks like that, no drugs, no visitors...and just see what happens.

Well the world doesn't work like that. There has to be proof of a crime in order to arrest someone, thank G0d!

Bold is mine
That it is.

Misty doesn't strike me as an "addict".. but that's just me.

LE has revealed the basics of what that tip was. The letter was delivered by the woman in scrubs for someone else a "ex FBI informant with SPECIAL PSYCHIC POWERS" (I sooo wish I was making this up). It had detailed information about where the childs remains could supposedly be found. LE went out there with a search team and cadaver dogs and found nothing. The tip is viewed to be completely unfounded.

But how could she afford such a place? I don't think insurance would cover a diagnosis of hiding away from suspicion of a felony.

While LE has in fact revealed the basics of the letter we really have no way of knowing if what they are telling us the letter said was truthful. They don't have to inform us of what their investigation consists of and if keeping the truth of the letter secret will help them find Haleigh then so be it. They have tried to fool us before haven't they...lol.

A sign for me that the letter from the "mystery woman" was invaluable would be if Prior, the journalist from The St. Augustine newspaper, ran the letter contents. He said he was asked by LE not to run it but might consider running it at a later date. So I want to see if he does an article on it.

Let's think positive for a change and go with maybe they are looking for jobs and thinking of relocating. There can't be much opportunity in Satsuma so maybe they are thinking proactive and want to get JR out of that public environment. Just a thought.

eh...possibly a larger supply of drugs to sell?

Hmmm Maybe Dominic C.'s psychic friend?

If she had a place to stay she could have had a makeover. Short haircut bleached blond or even darker. New makeup. Wearing less revealing clothes so not to get a lot of attention. Ever see the stars without makeup pics? If she is on the west coast of FL I could see it. There is not much at all on the Tampa news about this. Or if she has medicaid she could have gotten on list for rehab a while back. Not sure how that works. From what I knew 10 years ago it cost $1000 a day for drug rehab. The problem with rehab is that someone would have gotten a pic and sold it by now. As far as looking for new jobs away from the area is most employers google applicants names these days and well that would out her. And she has no education or skills. Has she ever had a legitimate job? I was also thinking she was from Michigan and probably still has a few connections. All the summer rentals are empty and rent rather cheap now. Lots of places in northern MI in the woods she could hide out at as long as the rent was paid.

Just dropping my unwanted 2cents in on things... and while I have no proof of it, this is just something I feel:

this whole issue is a farce... just a put-on to get people off of dogging them as a couple, for a while. Her gone stops people from badgering Ron about him being with her, and stops people from screaming at her to stop covering up for Ron. It takes a load of pressure off of them, both. (they are probably in contact with each other... think: bought cellphones that can easily be thrown away once this ploy is over)

Only way I will accept it is a real split-up and Ron is done with her, or her of him, is if one of them travels their happy tail to the courthouse and files for divorce.

My opinion... probably flawed... I'm not perfect.

And I agree with you, Lonetraveler. Tonight on NG she made a big deal about clarifying RC's alibi and being at work and all (even EARLY). BUT we don't know for sure when Haleigh even went missing. He says he stopped off to buy beer and cigs, how do we know what else he may have done after work?

Exactly! The St. Augustine would run that for the sensationalism alone, if it
proved to be worthless to LE and the investigation. Seems like they'd write
a story about that story. Unless they are a business with integrity. They'd want to spare Haleigh's family the heartache of reading about a ficticious & possibly dismal end for this poor baby girl. They may not publish it out of respect for those who love Haleigh.
Did not someone say that this could be "it" if true? Can't figure out why a police officer/detective would make a statement like that based on a tip from a psychic? No offense to all the psychics out there, but I'm sure they have had plenty of those to sift through. What would make this stand out to them?

After the letter was delivered there were many speculations that Haleigh may still be alive. I have to admit, it renewed my hope. If indeed that were true, LE would not want the public to know that information for sure. If they believe she is still alive and someone has her, they probably would not release that knowledge for fear of the person/persons running.

BBM

They used cadaver dogs and searched close to the MH in response to the letter. I don't think anything in the letter implied Hayleigh is alive.

Nah! When LE lies or misdirects the public and press it tends to follow a certain patern, and they will never give out something that could be used by the defense at trial in order to misdirect now. So they may say that an ongoing operation was something other then it really is. They may deny the existence of an ongoing operation until they are done and secure. But when they say we searched the area in question thoroughly and found nothing they are typically telling the truth. Otherwise that statement will come back to haunt them at trial as the defense may use it to alter the timeline or question LE's findings. (note the KC Anthony case and the defense claims that the body was not placed there until much later).

Wow, does everyone have an explanation! The mind boggles (or mine does).:waitasec:

Misty is:
on the beach
on the lam
in rehab
working with LE
changing her appearance

Let me add creative ideas I haven't heard yet:
She went to move the body.
She is a body.
She's shacking up with someone else.

So many ideas it makes your head spin but its kinda funny that the most normal place for her to be isn't even mentioned.....high school!

But how could she afford such a place? I don't think insurance would cover a diagnosis of hiding away from suspicion of a felony.
She probably doesn't have insurance, but there are state programs available to help with the costs. It wouldn't be a diagnosis of hiding herself away as it would need to be a real diagnosis such as stress related or other psychological issues going on with her. It could also give her attorney a chance to diagnose any learning disabilities or other problems in an effort to help her to communicate more effectively with LE. It doesn't have to be a negative thing, imo.

Now they are saying Ronald is with her so I don't know where she could be. Altho...he could be there visiting and staying at a motel or somewhere.

Supposedly Teresa's BF paid for their trip to Disney, but I haven't see the confirmation on that one yet. Personally, I never thought she really went to Disney and it was being said to throw off the media. Who knows?!

Is Misty's whereabouts still unknown to everyone (except LE, who no doubt have a 24/7 tail on her)?
