She's got something else up her sleeve with Troy Hayden.

She says... "a deal is a deal kind of thing, Troy. I regret saying that but I'm a person of my word so I'll keep our deal"..."but I also wanted to let you know if the jury comes back with first degree" (and goes onto set up the interview of verdict day)

The use of the word "but I also" implies that her deal was not the main reason for the phone call, instead this request for him to see her ASAP if the verdict was first degree.

So what is their "deal"? Troy made it sound like the interview was their deal, but when I listen to that message I'm not so sure. Is there more in the works between these two?

From what I saw on the first interview, Troy stated that he had met with JA earlier on in this process (not sure when) and she shared info that she asked him not to put out, and if he kept his word, she would keep hers and do the interview. Well, it looks like he kept his word, cause she did the interview, I want to know what she shared with him!

I'm in the same position, GCharlie. There's only seven us with my last name in the U.S. and obviously we're all related. It would take five seconds for someone to find me. I was talking to my son about his twitter account the other day because I noticed he misspells his last name. Do you find you have to do that a lot? I asked. Yeah, he said, he has numerous email accounts with different names (I know a lot of people do, but probably not solely for this reason). It's a very weird world.

Hey me too! My first name anyway... I use my best friend's first name alot. For one I hate spelling my name to people. This worked very well on a dating site as there were very many people I did not want to meet... 2 years down the road however when I was ending a relationship with someone that had trust issues... he told me that our relationship started out on a lie... HUH? What you only dated me for two whole years because you could only be committed to a Heather? :floorlaugh: Anyway I think everyone should protect themselves as much as they want to especially in dating situations. You never want to have to break up with someone you never wanted to date in the first place...

I hope Judge Stephens heard the recorded message Jodi left for the reporter!!! It's shows a woman who orchestrated the interview. She was not approached! JODI did the approaching!!!!! I hope the sheriffs office doesn't take the fall for Jodi.

But the jail might have the last laugh it appears she's been placed in an area in the jail reserved for the worst of the worst.

The "Deal" with Troy she speaks of, is they met and bonded back in January 2013 (developed a rapport) And she made a deal with him that if she was convicted she would give him the first interview immediately following her Conviction (1st degree) If she was convicted of lesser charge she would do something else...

So time passes, now she is convicted, so she is sort of saying "I don't really want to do this, but a deal is a deal, I did say you can have the first interview right after my conviction so you better get down there fast if that's what happens"

And the rest is history!

I believed for so many years as we got older, sicker, devastating diseases and relatives dying that he would come to his senses. My parents died when we were very young so I am glad they were not around to see his behavior. With your parents being older, I am sure it breaks their heart.

Just heard on CNN that the abortion MD cut a deal today for LWOP.

Does anyone believe that Jodi's team is trying to cut a deal for LWOP? Maybe if she does a complete turnaround on the stand, admits everything was a lie etc. ? Personally, I do not believe that Mr. Martinez would offer or sanction such a deal. But, I am also wondering if the Alexander family could be just tired of it all at this point?

Moments ago, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office received an order from the Superior Court of Arizona and Honorable Judge Sherry Stephens that from today, prohibits Sheriff’s Office officials from approaching defendant Jodi Arias for the purposes of media interview requests.

We will not attempt to contact Arias for purposes of media interviews until that order is lifted by the court.

Once the court lifts the order, and if inmate Arias agrees to do interviews, all interested media parties will be notified immediately by Sheriff’s PIO via email. Interviews will be conducted thereafter in the order already received.

I don't get why JSS is going so far to protect inmate Jodi. She's a grown woman, it's not up to the sheriff's office to protect her other than in a physical sense. I hardly saw Troy up there brandishing a gun and demanding an interview of her. Why does she get special treatment??

Unbelievable. I'm sure this was what the closed door secret hearing was about today. Jodi and her DT want to keep Jodi from giving any more interviews and probably keep her horrendous interview after the guilty verdict from the sitting jury.

The jury SHOULD hear that interview in the penalty phase. It shows a cold and calculating woman who still wants to inflict pain upon TA's memory and his family.

The jury absolutely should see Arias's post-verdict interview in the Penalty Phase. Arias gave that interview willingly, and it shows firsthand what a cold-hearted, conniving murderer she is.

Even the Death Penalty is too good for her IMO.

The "prison industry". $$$ I heard about this a few years ago. Freaking scary. There was one story, I think from Texas, about how one judge was bribed by a private prison owner (I know I am getting the titles wrong) to send minors to some kind of detention facility/prison for rather minor, non-violent offenses. The judge got kick-backs from the prison owner.

I'm one of those that's really in debt. I have been since my Mom's dementia got so bad I had to quit work. There are times when I'd welcome jail to pay my debts. Nobody would want anything from me, I'd be undisturbed and maybe I wouldn't have to cook and do laundry all the time! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Happens in Medicine too. Internal Medicine (general) Doctors send patients to inpatient Psychiatric facilities if they have that kind of insurance coverage and the Doc at the Psych place pays the Doctor a kick back for the referral.

Once the Insurance runs out, the patients is miraculously cured. Now the patient is not in on it, they may present with mild depression, fatigues, stress/anxiety... and instead of handling it correct or referring them to a great doc to help they send to that guy they have this deal with.

Too late for a deal of any kind, and, really who would believe her at this point? I think the Alexander family will be okay waiting it out, they have made it this far. Don't know if I could do what they have, as well as they have.

Correct, I saw him on TV and he said there is nothing he can do about it when the inmate goes through the proper channels, all her paper work was signed off on, like any other inmate allowed to do it, he said she could to. (this does not answer if her attorneys knew much about it, i suspect they did but it's becoming more and more evident she hand cuffed them basically about a lot of things)

Surely we know they would not want her to do that Interview, but as Jodi says, Mr Nurmi is the boss (and since she has still never told the truth) we can translate that to mean he does what I tell him to do.

And in the end from my vantage point, it could not have gone better. I take back all the things I may have accidently said about her Legal team. I think they were smashing! they did a great job!
