Found Deceased AK - Kathleen Henry, 30, video of murder victim found, Anchorage, 9 Oct 2019 *Arrest*

Try to keep scrolling down to get to last year on that site and you realize he posted constantly. He apparently saw a lot of horrible white genocide killings in his life as revealed in a pic in February 5 of this year. While you're checking out February 1, you might notice the saddest event in his family tree. It is well worth reading that. No more for me. In general, he must have bent his wife's ear and bored her about all that racial knowledge daily.

SBM for focus. I think that photo collage was white supremacist propaganda that circulates in their online groups, rather than anything BSS saw or photographed personally. He seems to have a fascination with chopped up women that reminds me of Austin Sigg (who killed Jessica Ridgeway).

And wow, the "saddest thing in his family tree"--he really had to do a lot of mental gymnastics there to ensure his "victim" ancestor was a white woman and the "perpetrators" (who were also his ancestors) were Middle-Eastern/African men. The truth is, there's absolutely no way could know that, and the story doesn't even really account for the DNA breakdown he claims anyway. It's extremely ironic he went to such great lengths to arrange his fantasy DNA history to have a white victim, when he, a white man, was presently rolling around Anchorage assaulting and killing Alaska Native women.

I would love to have a serial killer profiler/psychologist read that site and analyze it. But we certainly don't need those credentials to notice he is a raging narcissist and white supremacist! This dude is a tiny tornado of rage, resentment, and violence. Poor Veronica and Kathleen, my heart just breaks for them that they had to cross paths with this murderous garbage.

A little about BSS' childhood and family.

“You think you know someone and then you realize you did not know them at all... scary.”

Great find, PatLaurel! How I've wished for someone to step forward knowing BSS from the past.

No! Not another "I guess I didn't really know him" story. Just like on the nightly news when neighbors say wonderful things about the killer next door.

This person knew him not only from school days, but worked with Brian too. Add quiet, smiling, and helpful to the meek BSS description. Plus, it's a pleasure working with him, too. It's like reading about a boy scout! I hope his family at least has a few naughty Brian stories.

"We started school together and he often sat next to me in class. His father passed away in junior school and he became very quiet and withdrawn."

“It (Smith’s arrest) has been a shock to all who went to school with him because that is not the person we knew. I actually also worked with him for two years and he was very quiet, but always had a smile on his face and was very pleasant to work with."

“In the pictures I’ve seen of him now, he has this deep withdrawn look in his eyes. You think you know someone and then you realise you did not know them at all scary,” said Van Straaten.

How weird is this video from his youtube page? Its him laughing about over there "is an ancient burial ground" and laughing about it. He is also talking about how he knows from experience that a field is 2 feet deep in water (why would anyone walk out there?). Could this spot be a dumping ground for him?

Yeah, 'Mr. National Geographic' has some secrets...
Made me wonder if Bridge Guy (if you're following that case) is a naturalist on the order of this guy... naturalists with ulterior motives.

How in the world do these type guys get away with it?!
He had to have had a hand injury of some type after the murder of Kathleen.

An unusual bonus to a case that doesn't have much background info yet is a chance to study this confessed killer's identity in his own words. He began posting on that Quora site in March 2017, but IMHO he's a phony and a hypocrite. He'll say he's not racist, but every single thing is about division, race, and social standing. And oh boy, he's all for the death penalty siding with the poor victim! Some of you checked out his DNA drama on Feb. 1st of this year.

His answer to "What is your craziest US immigration experience?" posted on June 23, 2017 reveals his selfish, blind narcissistic views towards those what he'd call undeserving illegal immigrants. It also shows he knew full well some of the financial consequences that might fall on his sponsor which I believe is probably his wife.

I hope I'm not breaking the rules.

What is your craziest US immigration experience?
Answered Jun 23, 2017

"When I found out that Americans care more about the illegal immigrants than they do about legal immigrants like me."
  • i had to pay for all my applications and medical tests. illegals dont.
  • i had to wait 7 months for a Social security number and work permit. illegals get a work permit within days of illegally crossing the border.
  • i am paying into Social security but will retire before i can work long enough to qualify to claim for it. illegals will get my social security payments as soon as they buy a stolen SS#.
  • if I am caught committing an act of violence i will be deported. illegals have sanctuary cities and teams of attorneys to defend them and keep them here even if they rape or murder.
  • i have a financial sponsor who has to pay any debt that I cant pay for the first 10 years that I am in the US. I have to prove that I will in no way be a burden on the US system. illegals dont require any of this.
  • during the last elections, obama froze all processing of green cards (like mine), and ordered US immigration services to focus totally on processing illegals to try get them on the voters roll.
  • i came to America to be an American. illegals come to America and demand to keep being faithful to their home country.

WELCOME cali_chris! What a chilling observation. Seems like he's one twisted nature-lover.

For "an avid outdoors man who enjoyed taking solo trips" it's interesting to see that his online presence only started when he moved to Alaska. I wonder what were his interests and hobbies before that?

Brian S. Smith gained his citizenship several weeks after the last killing, but before his actual arrest...is that correct? Will that affect his being sentenced under Alaska law? As far as I know, he's looking at 99 yrs. in prison under Alaska law, which has no death penalty. I think he'd hate it more to do his time back in South Africa. Can they revoke his citizenship? What was he thinking killing those innocent women living in their own country struggling as it was? He said he came to America to be an American, but he wasn't an American but a Killer.

Great questions. I wish I knew. I hope we get a lawyer on this post to explain. If not, we'll have to stay tuned til more details come out.
Somehow, I thought he became a citizen right before the murder of Kathleen. I'd better look at that again. Hmmm.
I'm guessing here...
but he'll probably go to prison here for life, and not be deported. In a case where someone commits a crime in the US but flees to another country the feds would go after him and extradite him...bringing them back.
No way they're letting him go back to SA imo.
Hmm, I wonder if he has dual citizenship... but that wouldn't matter anyways, probably.
We're probably stuck with him!
:(
All just my own opinion though.

Another thought. He's been traveling around quite a bit in the US. Once his dna gets into the data base, will it get hits for other victims? Another question we'll have to stay tuned on...

I'm having trouble putting the pieces together.
Would anyone be able to do a timeline?
1a) When the first woman (Veronica) went missing and
1b) When they found her body.
2a) When they think Kathleen was killed
2b) When his car got broken into
2c) What day the SD card was found
2d) The vacation dates
2e) When he came home from vacation
3a) What town did he work in?
3b) How far was the murder site from his workplace and home.

Then, Merzerie said she was good at timelines and started one. :)

1a) July 2018 but only reported Feb 2019
1b) skull with bullet July 2019 with identification only recently Oct 11th?
2a) Sept 4th but disposed of Sept 6th. Found Oct 2nd, identified around the 5th or something.
2b) Sept 17th approximately.
2c) Sept 30th
2d) Sept 30th to Oct 8 when he got arrested at the airport while he was returning home. She stayed behind longer in Virginia because he was going back to start a new job.
3a) Where he murdered Kathleen at the Marriott apparently but it’s just the wife saying he worked there so who knows maybe that’s another lie.
3b) same workplace as murder but he lives further away in a quiet suburb (not sure exact place)

 Can't remember when. Can't find exact date.

… snipped to reply...Somehow, I thought he became a citizen right before the murder of Kathleen. I'd better look at that again. Hmmm.
I'm guessing here...

snipped and bolded by me

He killed Kathleen before September 7th. All the news articles keep saying he was naturalized as an American citizen last month, meaning also September, but most likely after he killed Kathleen. IMO, he committed these crimes before he was a citizen and could have been deported according to what he himself said on Quora. You're probably right we're stuck with him in an American prison, but the whole thing of him immigrating to the good life only to end lives makes me sick.

"Smith came to Alaska from South Africa five years ago, according to the document, but only became a naturalized citizen of the United States last month. "

It's probably good that he stays in the US and not be deported to South Africa. I'm not confident that the South African justice system would prevent him from murdering once again.

Yes, LE, don't look just in Alaska or South Africa for more victims.

"She said her husband is a night owl, while she has a habit of turning in early. A light drinker who only occasionally stays out late with friends, he's a man who likes gadgets, tinkering and traveling the state."

"Alaska amazed him, she said. His work in years past with Dowl Engineers took him to places like the rural villages of Emmonak and New Stuyahok, and sometimes to Montana, she said. He enjoyed adventuring in Alaska's mountains - Turnagain Pass, Talkeetna, Montana Creek, going to the shooting range, and taking drives."

"He liked to document his adventures, creating and sharing videos of of Hawaiian vacations, bear viewing, his wife's bluegrass concerts, Anchorage snow, moose, and other quintessential Alaska memento "

At this point, BSS is a US citizen.

But let's just say hypothetically that:

In the future, South Africa discovers DNA evidence that BSS committed murder on their soil. They decide they want him to stand trial for it.

The US does have an extradition treaty with South Africa for certain crimes. So it is possible that a citizen of US could be extradited to South Africa to stand trial.

Who knows? Maybe the punishment in South Africa for necrophiliac murdering psychopaths is far worse than it is here in the US. JMO
