The whole thing is so sad. The colossal waste of resources in pursuing every lead, the risks taken by those people, potential risks to anyone that might resemble the description of the "suspect," etc. I hope she gets the help she needs.

Disappointed but not surprised.

Thankful she didn’t suffer an abduction and that there’s no kidnapper running around that area. But so so so disappointed that someone would do this.

Data from Carlee's phone including her Life360 app showed she traveled 600 yards in her vehicle while on phone with 911. 6 football fields stretch, sheriff says.
Hoover 911 received 2nd call from Carlee's mother discussing "other relative hearing Carlee scream".
Police arrived within 5 mins.
Wig and phone found in grass.
Food ordered at Greek place in car - snacks not in vehicle.

Throughout Friday, they searched at the scene for evidence with people and K9 teams. No evidence found. Volunteer search parties activated, zero evidence found.

Carlee's residence - 911 call at 10:45pm Saturday night, Carlee returned on foot.
She was seen on surveillance walking home.
Detectives got a brief statement from her at hospital:
Told them she saw a baby walking on side of road.
Man came out of trees and mumbled he was checking on baby.
Man picked her up and she screamed.
Made her go over fence, forced her into car.
Put her into 18 wheeler.
Apparently a female was there who she never saw, but heard her voice
Heard baby crying
Man had orange hair with bald spot LOL
Escaped 18 wheeler and fled on foot, captured again!
Blindfolded, not tied up because captor didn't wanna "leave impressions on wrist"
Made her undress in a house & took pics of her, but no assault...
Was fed cheezits by female... woman played with her hair
Escaped from vehicle again, ran through woods
Came out by her residence
Carlee had small lip injury
Had $107 cash in her SOCK!

This is absolutely unbelievable. Wow.

Google searches:
"DO YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR AN AMBER ALERT SEARCH"
"HOW TO TAKE MONEY FROM A REGISTER WITHOUT BEING CAUGHT"
"BIRMINGHAM BUS STATION"
"1 WAY BUS TICKET, BIRMINGHAM to NASHVILLE"
"MOVIE TAKEN" (I'm DYING y'all)
"MAXIMUM AGE OF AMBER ALERT" (searched at work)

Carlee has not allowed LE to interview her a second time.
What in the fresh he** did I just read?!

Will they be pressing charges given she clearly fabricated this whole thing? False reporting is a crime right?
You know I had sympathy until hearing the level of fabrication. It's mean and premeditated.

its always so shocking to me how stupid people are with their internet searches lol. Person who is going to steal from the cash register at their job searching for how to steal from a register lol.... can't make this stuff up.

Oh, Carlee, no. This just wasn’t it. Bad enough to do it but even worse how she thought A) it would work and B) she’d get away with it. This kind of hoax or lie is no laughing matter and it just takes away from real cases/situations.

Playing the 911 call.
She bought cheezits and granola bars at Target.
Left work with a dark bathrobe and toilet paper (hidden?)
(Typing as I listen so excuse any mistakes)
Camera footage obtained and analyzed - data from her phone shows that she travelled 600 yards while on the phone with 911.
Food she picked up was still in the car, but items from Target and work were not.
All searches turned up empty.
Statement to detectives the night she vanished - man came out of the woods and picked her up, took her through the woods and he and another female kept her in an 18 wheeler, then eventually to a house?
Secret service analyzed her internet searches - "how to take money from a register w/out being caught", Birmingham bus station, one-way bus ticket from Bham to Nashville, search for movie "Taken", some Amber Alert information searches.
Have asked to interview her but have not been able to.
No reason to believe there is a threat to public safety related to this case.
Was she waiting for Liam Neeson to come find her?

Hopefully
What in the fresh he** did I just read?!

If your going to make up a fake kidnapping story at least make it believable.

Web searches give it away every time. Moo
It's wild to me every time search history comes up. In this day & age, how do people not realize this will come out?

And then to go through with it for $107 (plus, perhaps, whatever she spent on snacks).

What was her end goal with this?So dumb.
An ex FBI agent speculated that it might be to create a cover to meet someone. The googling of the bus ticket would seem to confirm this. I would guess when it blew up she got cold feet.

She might've lost her job and nursing career, but Carlee Russell just punched her ticket on a reality tv show.

Courteous of her to supply her own TP for her captivity in a trailer. That's some real foresight.

No comedy here. I'm ANGRY
