What time is this? Totally missed it, I've been consumed with Hunter Biden's blown up plea deal!

Not sure. They haven't said yet.

As soon as she bonds out. Haha. They are set up in front of Jefferson County Jail. Edit to include correct jail

Sociologists observe a phenomena where when a group of anonymous internet posters are asked, “what would you do differently if you had millions of dollars?” many respond with forceful insistence that they would change NOTHING. They’d live the same, act the same, eat the same, all the things. There’s some strange social value in insisting that they wouldn’t change.

We see a parallel to that here. Carlee was a hoax, yes, self-admitted. Many are responding with forceful insistence that they’d HANG HER HIGHER. She’d pay the price, serve time, fines, community service, particular interest in shameful/humiliating service - if she were observed picking up garbage on the side of a highway in pinstripes, that would clearly delight a group of posters. There’s a ”hang her higher” vibe. There’s some strange social value in insisting they’d punish her harder.

She’s a spoiled brat, not that bright, fumbling through school, appalling in her internet use, probably disappointing her parents to whatever degree. She’s hung high enough for me. Mine is a life where I delighted my parents without trying too hard. Hers is a life where she ripped a glued wig off her head and purloined toilet paper. I’m winning the game of life. I don’t need her to suffer harder and I don’t see her as a tool of deterrence. Curious if others might

I just saw a local attorney post about this. I would give details but do not have a link.

Moo..sure pay restitution...as long all others that do same have too. But do not make her 'it'. Plenty of similar cases I,ve read on ws. ..moo
Nah, too easy for mom & dad to suffer that consequence for her. She won't learn a thing from that. She needs some humbling. I'm with those who say community service in addition to financial restitution at the very least.

Not at all. Same consequences for anyone who commits such a premeditated act I keep seeing people saying that "she comes from money". I'm not sure what it means to others, but to me it looks like her parents have worked hard for what they have and have built solid careers and made a good life. "Coming from money" means something very different in my neck of the woods.

Carlee should have to spend a few days with Tim Miller searching for the missing in this summer heat. Of course, that’s if Tim would have her.

It looks as if she comes from a family with hard working parents who have done well; that doesn't mean Carlee came from money, so to speak.
No one is angry here.
Caveat : However , if LE aren't happy with being led on a fruitless chase by someone old enough to know better, they can hardly be blamed ?
As it stands, they've been remarkably patient and have given minimal statements.

As far as facing consequences and justice for the items stolen and the cost of the search, yes, there needs to be restitution.
Prison time -- if applicable (& that depends on what else LE know ?) would probably be good for Carlee as it may help to jolt her into a dose of reality.
'Scared straight' is another way of putting it.
If she doesn't learn, she could someday wind up with a more severe outcome.

Several years of community service and paying back all of the funds used to search for her would be a start.
Omo.

The link was removed by the uploader so, who was the uploader?
On Facebook there is a photo of media setting up cameras and Birmingham Crime Watchers live on the scene at the county jail.

100% agree.

I applaud people who donated money for the search for Carlee.
Many people probably can't really afford to do so, but out of the goodness of their hearts ... :(

Once trust is broken and betrayed, it's nearly impossible to win it back.
I haven't noticed much effort thus far in that direction, either ?

They don’t seem to want to win any trust back. People do what they want. Actions typically reflect desires. Carlee wanted to disappear and to get attention while doing it. She called 911, she lied about a kid, she screamed, she left her car and phone and etc to be found, etc etc we all know what she did. Carlee’s parents wanted their daughter to be found, so they searched for her, they got the word out, they begged and pleaded, etc etc. If any of them wanted to win trust back, they’d be out there doing it.

Her parents aren't the bad guys in this situation.

They’re not the good guys either.
What are you accusing them of doing wrong?Unless they were involved in telling the lie which I have seen zero proof of they aren't to blame for her actions.

Can someone link when it’s time? Thanks in advance.
