Did DV have a life insurance policy?
It is likely she has one via her benefits/PPO with PF Chang's if she was full-time. Speaking of P.F. Chang's, I am curious if they are helping with Danniella's case at all? None of her workplaces ever posted anything on social media.
@otto, we were bouncing ideas back and forth this afternoon and wondered if you believed that DNW and DW could have been heading to APM Terminals (DW work) to pick up something or if they were headed to airport to return rental car based on how they pulled into Shell station? Other alternatives include DW house and DNV house. Did your original maps from thread 2 I think have all these locations on them or just the DW house and DNV apartment? Still trying to understand why did 2 people leave Dublin's heading in the direction they were heading?
I am really leaning towards a drug buy, even if it was marijuana. It is very common for drug buys to go down in a neutral location, especially if the dealer is the mobile variety (think of your cookie-cutter gang-banger that sells everything from pot to cocaine). The Shell, not only known for this kind of activity according to our locals, closes early, is unlit, and has crappy or non-existent surveillance. Having only lived in Mobile for 4 years, Danniella's connects were likely through TT or people she didn't know well.
Let's set the scene. You are MK. You (MK), DW, and DNV meet RC at Hero's. RC is working but you all have a drink. You plan to meet at Ollie's at 11pm to eat. You (MK), DW, and DNV decide to head over to Dublin's for a few more drinks while RC works. Maybe you know the bartenders, see a few friends. At some point, DW and DNV get up to leave. You, MK, are getting ready to leave for Ollie's. DW and DNV are leaving to go somewhere else. Do you ask them where they are going? YES. You do. You just spent three hours with these people and you are all planning to meet your common connection, RC, at Ollie's for dinner. You know where they are going and what they are doing.
At 10:45, RC is getting ready to leave work. He calls DNV. Her phone rings but she does not answer because her phone is at Dublin's. She is currently driving from Dublin's to the Shell Station (14 minutes away). RC meets MK at Ollie's. Isn't RC's first question, "hey, where are the other two?" MK tells them they went _______ (unknown to us). At 11:37, DW texts MK that DNV left her phone at Dublin's so he came back to pick it up and he lost her on the way. DW arrives at Ollie's around midnight but it is unclear if RC and MK already left.
Did DNV and DW run an errand before arriving at the Shell Station? Whatever errand DW was running seems to be cancelled when he arrives at Dublin's to pick up DNV's phone and then heads to Ollie's. He doesn't pick up DNV's phone and then head back towards the Shell Station.
What time did DNV and DW leave MK at Dublin's?
This is a good question. I would also like to know why did DW go get the phone? The only way that makes sense is:
1. He felt obligated (ie it was his fault the phone got lost)
2. Danni needed to wait there for Car 3 to show up
3. To cover his tracks
In thred 2 I saw a post about a well connected older man being mentioned in Thred 1 on page 43. In finding nothing regarding that topic so can anyone highlight that for me. I bring that up because Mobile is still an old money town. Certain names cover certain names etc. if you doubt it look up the Steve Nodine trial. All sorts of crazy.
Danni's coworker KM is friends with a local politician running for senate. I don't think that has anything to do with Danni at all unless "MK" is actually KM.
I'm going to listen now. I think this raises even more questions than it answers. Who was this boyfriend? Where was he on 7/18? What did TT think about DNV having a child with another man?
This is why her recent pregnancy not being considered relevant is a little bit mind-blowing. I doubt very much LE has thoroughly investigated all possibilities related to that in only a few weeks.

1. Danni & TT lived together in the apartment, but only as "best friends". TT is grieving for Danni (as if she is deceased). Daughter lived with "MIL", and it took a week for her to notice her Mom was gone.

LE needs to release this and state the location as her last seen IMO.
We know that Danni used pot during childbirth 4.5 years ago, so pot use is a fact. There is nothing to support any other drug use, and Danni is not here to defend herself - best to stick with facts until we know otherwise.

They do. When I was 24 I was buying it in a kindergarden playground at 2am so a quick drop-off and smoke in an unlit area off a major thoroughway in south Mobile doesn't sound odd at all. I agree with you we should not assume Danni was a hard drug user, but we know her apparent roomate and ex was not only a user but a heroin dealer. It opens up a lot of potential enemies since I am willing to be Danni's connects were TT's connects.
That might explain something. I read early on that she was 17 years old when she moved with TT to Mobile, and that she was pregnant at the time. That was 7 years ago, but her daughter is only 4.5 years old. A miscarriage would explain that gap. That makes sense.
My understanding of what has been said+public records is Danni was living in Kansas when she was 17 where TT was stationed at Ft. Riley - likely how they met. She got pregnant at 20, and the moving to mobile was 4 years ago so that would coincide with getting pregnant and moving to Mobile with TT (I assume so JDT could care for the child).
ETA: We shouldn't be too hard on JV - she reminds me a lot of Leah Rose Altmann's mother and how much she struggled to publicize her daughter's case. In the end she really didn't know just how possible it was that Leah was involved in some stuff that she was involved in, which was a point of contention between sleuthers and her while the case was ongoing. I can only hope Danni resurfaces in 6 months like Leah did and can reforge her relationship with JV.
