I don't understand how that could be true if they were able to tell JDT they were able to continue tracking her through surveillance to the point where they parted ways. Why wouldn't they in general start canvasing neighborhoods and such in the general "parted ways" vicinity?

LE has never alluded to where that location is, that location could simply be the Shell station as far as we know. The quote from JDT was they split ways and DNV went towards a more populated area .. (Which could be any direction)

Right- we don't now which way she went, but they know which way she went, right?

JDT & a friend have searched on their own. They started at the Shell and expanded from there, including the lake that the car was pulled from today. They have also -on their own- searched other places in town and haven’t found anything.

LE has told JDT that they don’t have any clue/idea of where to search and that’s why there aren’t organized, LE directed search parties (civilian or LE alone).

Have they serarched the Midtown area? Is that where she suggested Danni might be?

This is based on the theory that DW and Danni were on a drug run until 11:24 and Car 3 is DW, but DW's timeline has him at the Dublin with Danni's phone at 11:37. The timeline doesn't work.

It could if he had just gotten there. I was just looking at different things on Google Maps and I see where you can check the estimated travel time based on a specific departure time. With a departure time of 11:24 pm tonight, it is estimated the arrival time would take 12-16 minutes. It's doable.

The issue is there are no related locations to search, as in a search party.

I hear you on the frustration about lack of visible searches. But assuming the previous info about a ping on Dauphin near port/ferry area I'm curious why at a minimum this hasn't been done? Also, its fairly typical in missing cases to walk the area immediately around for about 1/2-1 mile radius depending on terrain of the last known site. Oftentimes misc items such as shoes, jewelry, personal effects are found in such searches. MPD said they looked around the Shell station but what else has been done? We've been asking for weeks about hospital searches, car impound searches, parking decks near pier/ferry or downtown/midtown bar parking. These are easy to do searches and don't required many people?

It is my understanding, and I could have at this point mixed it up with everything else honestly, that he did not have the phone at 11:37, he said he was at Dublins getting the phone and lost DNV along the way. We don't know if he had just pulled in or had been there for a while.

Car would for sure be more noticeable if it is still in the area. I think the general vicinity may be the area between 165 (Connector) to Government and I-65 to Water Street (Huge square, I know. but what else is there to go on)

I'm with you, otto, I don't think he is car3 - I think Danni was waiting for Car 3 and that is why DW had to go get the phone, otherwise why didn't Danni go get it herself? She knew the way.

Sure, but it's been suggested that if he was speeding and didn't park his car, then maybe he could make the trip that fast. If he drove the speed limit and parked his car before contacting one of the friends at 11:37 (it has been said that he reported that he had the phone), he really didn't have enough time if he left the Shell station at 11:24.

Are you talking about the ferry from Dauphin Island or the port at the end of Dauphin Street? From Midtown to the port is about a 10 minute drive, depending on where you judge Midtown to begin and Downtown to end. The ferry that runs out of Dauphin Island is about a 45 minute drive from Midtown. There is no ferry that I'm aware of other than the one that runs from Dauphin Island to Fort Morgan.

Yes, supposedly a CSI type team searched the apt but it is believed the friends and family had been in the apt before this happened so integrity of the scene is at best questionable IMO.

I think she and DW were going together to pick up the phone, that's why he waited for 20 minutes at The Dublin, and then headed to Ollies to see if they'd crossed their wires about where they were meeting.

Why ask for someone to offer a different way to view something if you're just going to tell them they're wrong anyway?
