I mean, if we apply occam's razor to this, we're back at thread one page 5 and Danni has likely been carjacked, leading to both her and her car being in a mystery location.

That's certainly the obvious explanation - the only remaining question is whether it is someone who targeted Danni and followed her from The Dublin, or whether it was just someone who happened to be near the Shell station and who saw an opportunity.

The AMAP reading was mentioned earlier. Since I am one of the people that requested that AMAP do a reading for Danni's case, I'm going to try to explain it the best I can.

The lady behind AMAP (A Matter of Perception) is a Medium but she prefers to work with astrology-based information. There is a "How To Use" section at the top of each reading, but the general gist of it is this:
  • The main things I look at are on the map itself.
    • Locations. These are places of definite significance, whether it's significant to people involved, where Danni was confirmed to be, etc.
    • Hotspots. These are the places that this Medium feels Danniella could be found or are of significance to the case somehow.
    • The red radius circles. In all cases I've followed that have had an AMAP reading, the missing person was found within these circles.
  • There is typically also a syntax/synopsis of the reading. She has begun doing these as YouTube videos but previously, it was just another section of the reading. While she did type out a syntax for Danni's case, there is not a video nor has it been published because she (the Medium behind AMAP) does not want it published due to some of the things Danni told her about where she is and what happened. However, as unhelpful as it is, I will say the hotspots on the map are significant.

I'm happy to help answer as many questions as I can about Danni's AMAP.

Also, if you have a little bit of free time & you'd like to see AMAP readings for past cases, check out the A Matter of Perception website and YouTube channel.

Danni was pregnant for most of the year prior to her disappearance.

I'm curious. Why is it realistic to assume that she was buying cannabis at the Shell station in the middle of the night? If she was a regular user, why wouldn't she just go to her seller's house?

Cannabis is a possibility given her past use but maybe not necessarily in this case. We've mentioned that she gave birth and went right back to working doubles within a week. That's a lot on a woman's body & psyche.

It really does surprise me that anyone believes that habitual pot users buy pot for personal use in the middle of the night at closed gas stations near freeways.

We know that she tested positive for cannabis 5 years ago during childbirth. That is a long time ago.

Pulling over because she forgot her phone makes an awful lot more sense, and it is supported with the fact that she did indeed forget her phone. Thankfully someone at the Dublin found it first, because otherwise everyone would think that DW pretended that she forgot the phone.

Out of curiousity- what is the significance of Papa Buddha's bar?

I agree that her phone makes sense as she did forget it. But to just vanish? We've been told by locals here on WS that that's not a good part of town and that drug deals do go down in dark, desolate places. We also know that this particular Shell station was not on the way from The Dublin to Ollie's...normally. So what could she have been in that area for? We've tossed around the idea that DW as heading home, and he does leave SE of there; however, could there be another reason for it?

Interestingly, the AMAP reading has a location in that vicinity that has not been publicly released otherwise. What is the significance of that location? Was there a sighting? Did/does she know someone there? Could she have been going there instead of to DWs? Did she go there and then to the Shell to finish up whatever she was there for? Or, is it not related at all? I'm not local to Mobile so I don't know the area or the place but it seems to be of significance for some reason.

Going back to the possibility of a drug deal and, again, let's say it wasn't cannabis. But what if she was meeting up with a "street pharmacist" to get something to help her with stress, anxiety, pain, muscle relief, etc for work (since we've established she went back to double shifts so soon after giving birth).

I'd like to think that MPD has checked into it but there's a hotspot on that map that JDT & I have both asked MPD to search because they hadn't - and still yet haven't - done so.

I can understand that there might be some hard drug deals done in a shady part of town, but I sure don't agree that drug dealers are dealing in full view of CCTV.

I don't have any problem believing that DW and Danni were going somewhere together, but there's no reason to jump to the conclusion that it must have been a drug deal. On the way, she realized that she forgot the phone, so they planned to retrieve it together before resuming their plan to travel somewhere together.

I don't believe that the Shell station was the destination, rather that it was where DW pulled over because Danni flashed her lights at him.

I think it's too much to not only accuse Danni of buying pot in front of a CCTV camera, but to suggest that she used hard drugs. That is completely wild speculation that has nothing to do with what we know about her.

I have not once victim shamed Danni. All I'm saying is there has to be a reason she was there and it's not because it's on the way between The Dublin & Ollie's (because it isn't). So what was she doing in that area?

He may not have been home and told her to meet him there. I don't know Mobile so can only go from how it works in cities I've been in. In NYC for example, it was very common for the dealer to be out and about and meet you outside a club or in a park. These dudes usually were selling other things as well like Molly and Quaaludes.

There is absolutely no reason to conclude she was there to buy drugs, I definitely agree with you there. It was a scenario that had to be considered and worked through, though, and I think we can reasonably say that it is not as likely as a carjacking or that she was followed, simply because having to explain the motive for why she ended up disappeared or dead at the hands of a dealer requires too much speculation.

They do. I can confirm this 100% from personal experience (keep in mind, you don't have to be habitual, you only have to do a shady pickup once for it to go wrong)

We don't know where they were going, but we do know that they were not going to Ollies.

We also know that drug dealers do not set up shop in front of a CCTV camera.

They were not going to the Shell station, but stopped there because Danni forgot her phone. They did not plan to stop there, and indeed they were there together for 2 minutes before deciding to return together to the Dublin.

Danni was prevented from following him to the Dublin. Instead, her GPS was disabled and she and her car vanished 16 minutes later.

Mystery solved - police have Danni's phone so they know whether she arranged to meet a deranged pot seller in front of CCTV. That should tell police exactly who was driving Car 3, and explain why Danni's GPS was disabled during a pot deal. Either Car 3 did something to Danni, or she left voluntarily, so why haven't police announced that there is a suspect or that she is not missing?

It was always a theory floating around for me, because there's really on solid evidence to poke enough holes in it to throw it out, that if it were actually drug related then LE was looking at a picture bigger than DNV- a larger operation, etc. and didn't have enough evidence to hold up in court. Maybe they've been watching the area? I understand some information has to be withheld due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, but I have a gut feeling the reason more information hasn't been released is because they REALLY need whoever their main POI is to not realize they're the main POI.

Haven't we also decided that a "carjacking" or robbery doesn't make much sense either? Car jacking wouldn't explain motive for why she is missing. A carjacker isn't going to take DNV with him while stealing her car. A carjacker would be there to take her car not her.

Also I don't think a guy selling some weed to a girl at night is super concerned with CCTV, definitely not enough to say he must be "deranged". I work in a shady part of town (not Mobile) and I see drug deals going on all the time, on the street, in broad day light. It's not like police go around and pull CCTV footage every day from local businesses looking to catch someone selling a little weed.

Your point about the CCTV is the main fact that makes the drug deal angle an unlikely one, more than anything else. I don't actually remember if it was confirmed the CCTV is from the Shell though, I thought someone said it was actually from across the street. @cedgison can you confirm that for us? What we do know, based on the still images, is it was terrible quality - I really don't know how they could discern who was who or what car was what with that footage. While someone else's phone or a phone we don't know about could have been used, you are correct that LE not only probably knows who car 3 is if they are known to Danni, but they have her phone and should also have her ping info and records by now.

Of course, there is SM discussion about a phone call she did make to someone that night which fuels the drug angle but I do prefer to work the more obvious angles until we can say for certain they are impossible.

Thread 1 has lots of information about the CCTV camera at the Shell station.

My understanding - and I did not see the CCTV footage; only a blurry still - is that there is a power/light/telephone pole next to the road, on the Shell side, and that's where the camera that the CCTV came from is.

Well I struggle to reason why a carjacker would kill a 24 year old woman, especially an attractive one, but these people are rarely reasonable. If you search for news of carjacking murders in Mobile, there are a number in the last couple years and more attempted carjackings, one right round the time Danni disappeared also. Now combine that with a car that ranks high for theft, which has paper plates making it easier to identify and flip, and a dark gas station at night right next to an auto-body shop and you have a reasonable setup for a carjacking. No matter what turns out to be the real story, we will probably be asking why it happened and why Danni had to be killed. That question doesn't disqualify carjacking as a possibility at all. Murder is never simple.

Update: I spoke to MPD a little bit ago. My [and JDTs] request to search a specific area is being passed on, again, to the Detective on Danni's case. Hopefully this search will happen soon, especially since it's been asked for twice.
