We don't know for sure that she was alone in car but the reporter from the station who had the video tape that was pulled off the internet by LE stated in her report 'she' drove off from Shell station. From this I think we all have assumed she was alone but we honestly don't know. We also don't know if the people from the 3rd car followed her out of the Shell station.
What do you make of JDT changing the story about the ping? Do you think LE told her to sit down and go with the last ping at the gas station story? Is JDT the type of person that would cave to LE pressure to go along to get along?
It sounds like she worked alot. MIL said she worked constantly. Saw her daughter a couple/few times a week. She was next expected to see daughter at MIL house on Thur. When she didn't show up they were concerned and reported her missing on Friday. Not sure where her apt is located. Not sure whether she is in fact married. Doesn't appear TT is part of her current situation as she lists her status as single on FB. She clearly loved her daughter. Buying the car was a big deal for her and she no double worked hard to afford it. Her apt was untouched when searched and she had cash there according to MIL. DV Mom is in NC. DV is supposdly estranged from most of her family but does seem to communicate with her Mom. The custody situation whatever is was must have been brutal and seems to have resulted in ill feelings all around. TT doesn't seem to be a factor in overall childcare situation. Not clear whether TT has own apt or lives with DV. Unclear if DV had close friends around her to support her.
JoJo, you are relentless in seeking truth. I like that. I suspect at this point in time, we aren’t going to get answers. So...we have to rely upon our questions staying true to the spirit of this forum. One question may lead to another, etc., etc. until we can grasp an understanding of why we are posting and continue reading about this young woman’s mysterious disappearance. Once you figure it out, please explain it to me, because I’m drawn in.
I hadn't seen that statement from the Chief. Mmmm. That statement is about as irresponsible as I've seen but he must have had information about the case in order to make that statement which is honestly quite bold IMO. Its also probably enough for some enterprising local atty to step up and say they will represent the family/MIL against the local police. Truly the way the local cops are treating this is as if she were just some tweaker who has gone on a binge and will come back whenever. Does anyone see it differently?
Frankly, I’m about as confused as I’ve ever been on WS. I I’m not sure if I’m coming or going. This case really seems unique with many possible layers and outcomes.
They have and are with Mobile Police and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Local TV station had originally posted the video footage in order to get the public to help find DV. But LE ordered that the footage be removed from the internet and the TV station complied for whatever reason.
I believe they are protecting an informant or someone who is politically connected enough to demand that the footage be taken down. Who could this be? Must be a reason? Seems like they care more about the people that chose not to help DV that night than DV herself IMO!
Thanks. But sadly the information deck in this situation is stacked in the favor of a local LE team and Chief that aren't doing much but waiting for story to die down. No FBI, No State LE Investigators etc. Either they don't care or its a cover up of something and someone that LE doesn't want the public to understand or see. Sad situation all around. The Chief speaking at the press conference convinced me that finding DV was not job #1. I still don't know what his job #1 is in this situation but I hope the press will try to keep the police honest as I don't think they are being honest with the public thus far IMO.
Just watched the PC with Chief again. He seems IMO to just be going through the motions of addressing the situation. Can't believe the press aren't asking questions to push for answers. LE has the tape from Shell station and most likely other tape from the area. What are they waiting for? I am actually quite stunned that nobody from the family seems outraged about the situation? Wonder why or if they are seeing something that I simply don't at this point.
There’s no longer a doubt in my mind that LE knows much more than released. I suspect political/career activity behind the scenes is taking precedence over finding a missing person. I don’t know what that is. I go back and forth. Is there a larger picture to eventually evolve? Or is it simply apathy? The anomalies are too significant to ignore. I don’t see a happy reunion for Danniella and her daughter in the future. Pessimistic outlook? Yes, I can’t shake it though. I wish a poster campaign was the answer. The only resource I could see possibly helping to provide clues are the Truckers and that’s a long shot.
I noticed the same thing at the vigil. There were more than a couple with microphones in the background but they approached no one, at least not in what was posted on FOX. There were few in attendance. It almost seemed like a memorial of sorts. This is the second time I’ve watched it. Does that guy in the red shirt look like TT (ex) to you?

Yes, I hadn’t heard she was also in the Army. I was so hesitant to post it that first day for privacy respect. Today, I have a different everchanging perspective. Another reason why I asked earlier about a cultural reference to her middle name. There is more but I don’t want to violate TOS. I value my membership here but also have to manage my impulses to post my findings. So...I keep trying.
So very many other news stations jumped on that video. Some related sister stations. Some not. It was on YouTube for a bit but it’s also been removed. Broken links and site unavailability messages were everywhere. Very alarming.
I will have to look for person in red shirt. But not sure of timeline as TT might have been in jail (still can't find jail records BTW).
Car jacking was one of the earlier theories on here as Mobile is one of the hotspots in the nation for not only auto theft but illegal export of cars from all over the country via the port. But for the Mom to say she was car jacked and abducted is quite strong with no ambiguity about what she thinks. Wow! But if this were true it would make the inaction of local LE even more baffling. But you have to wonder what the stats are on getting your first car and getting carjacked on the same day you pick up the car? I seriously have questions about that dealer and unfortunately we have no info as to whether they are part of the shady underworld of stolen cars etc. She could have been easily set up by the dealer as it appeared they still had access to the GPS so would know precisely where she was with the car.
I am about 'truth-ed' out on this case as I don't think we are getting anything remotely resembling the truth. If she was jacked and abducted (going with Moms theory) then she is most likely long gone from the area. Maybe that is why local LE isn't doing much. But if this were the scenario then why not bring in the FBI etc. They aren't doing this either. I wonder what the Homeland Security prescence is at the port. I would think its substantial. Will have to investigate that.
