Perhaps C Mason can afford to alienate everyone in legal/LE circles. He has an established reputation, long term relationships in place, and is close to retirement.

However, Mr Baez is hardly 'making friends and influencing people' except in a negative way. If he, publically attacks judges, other lawyers and LE in general, it occurs to me that he will be making his legal future in Florida very difficult.

Any separate community (legal, finincial, business, ect) depends a great deal on mutual cooperation, accomodations, and good will to get things done. I really don't see Mr Baez storing up much good will for his future.

Mr Baez doesn't seem to be doing himself any favours. I do not understand the defense lawyers' 'scorched earth' policy.

Paintr it could be all those judges, lawyers and LE are either tittering or downright guffawing at his antics and are having too good a time to get scorched.:loser:

An argument from ignorance, also known as argumentum ad ignorantiam or appeal to ignorance, is an informal logical fallacy; it asserts that a proposition is necessarily true because it has not been proven false (or vice versa). This represents a type of false dichotomy in that it excludes a third option: there is insufficient data and the proposition has not yet been proven to be either true or false

If JB actually does read here - I really wonder how he gets out of bed in the morning! :croc:

Wild, have a look at the clip Mitzi just posted in todays news - Nejames talks about it quite a lot.

Pretty sexy sans tie......I LOVE HIM!

ETA.. and glad he explained the 10 - 15 year possibility. He's very good, I hope he does write a book. There are quite a few valuable stories to be told regarding this case, and his and especially TES' are among them.

faefrost,

Your post (#778) was absolutely brilliant. Thank you!

That's pretty funny when you think about it. She can no longer get her face on tv every day so she's channeling herself through mail.

As I read your post, I suddenly pictured CA wearing a turban, and staring into a glass globe! LOL! Thanks for the chuckle, RR0004!

The emails had me at "to Beth Karas". Everything that followed was white noise after seeing that. It may as well have been entitled SPIN. SPIN. SPIN.
Clearly the defense has a very personal grudge with Mark, and want to spin publicly in a fashion that would make a politician in a sex scandal take notes.

I agree it was very much their loss when Mark resigned his post. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony's letter, is clearly designed to be released publicly. Advising them not to make any public statements was the best advice they ever received. If you click on the link in my signature line, Mr. Mason was in full agreement with him. All of the public commenting from the lawyers and the parents was making it clear they have absolutely no credibility whatsoever, he opined. Indeed , the irony is rich. What Mr. and Mrs. Anthony fail to recall is that it was THEY who approached another lawyer about replacing Mr. Baez, Mr. Buarauno, who said NO! Guess what, they told him they could not pay him, but rather it would be a contingency MEDIA deal for later!!! Outrageous that now they want to leave the impression they are offended by the mention of such a thing, when it is exactly what THEY did. You just can't make this stuff up!!
MOO

They totally underestimate Judge Perry, Ms. Karas and the public. I assume that will translate to them insulting the intelligence of the jury and we'll see how that turns out. We shall just see.

For Beach: Brad waiving conflict of interest regarding mom and pop and Mark Nejame. Does anyone recall the exact date mark took on TES as a client? TIA!!! Julia

Does it sound to you like Mark is saying mom and pop were reassured by him that no one had been out there disturbing Caylee's remains? What can we infer from that , they did know she was there?

It seems to me his entire deal with them was to look for CAYLEE, check it out:
"

“I only agreed to represent George and Cindy Anthony, so long as there were no restrictions placed on me whatsoever as to finding Caylee, regardless of where this might lead. Quite simply, this meant that I could do whatever I needed to find Caylee whether she was alive or not. It impressed me that George and Cindy, both believing that Caylee was still with us, had an overriding and primary concern in finding Caylee, even if the result was not as they would hope. The other condition I required was that I would have absolutely nothing to do with representing Casey or assisting in her legal defense.

“Abundant efforts have been made towards finding Caylee. I have worked with so many involved in this matter towards the goal of finding this dear, missing child who has captured the hearts of so many. Some ignorant and judgmental members of the public though have made hateful and inaccurate accusations against me and others, when they had no idea whatsoever what was really going on. As my new, good friend, Tim Miller from Equusearch, tells me ‘everybody associated with this case gets body slammed.’ However, like Tim, when you know in your heart that you’re doing the right thing, you just move forward knowing that right will ultimately win out. Some have falsely accused me and some others of being in this for the money. If they only knew how utterly wrong and misguided they are.

“I had come to a personal opinion and theory for quite some time whether Caylee was still with us or not. However, my opinion was only one like any other … an opinion. The only person without an opinion though is Casey Anthony as only she knows the truth.

“I believe that the singular person out of the 6 billion people in the world who holds the key to finding Caylee is her mother, Casey Anthony. Although I was quite successful in resolving a multitude of matters, I am unable to go further to help George and Cindy find Caylee in my current role. I can only provide my best advice and must respect any client’s prerogative to do what they deem is best, whether they choose to follow my guidance or not. However, there is little value or use I can provide to any client if they choose to act and comment at will," said Mark Nejame.

The docket entry alone makes my head hurt? I don't want to think what the filing itself will do?

Once again I really don't know what anyone is looking for in this.? It is down to a pissing and belligerence contest between lawyers.

to JB. This gains you nothing. You are not going to get any greater access to TES people than the carefully supervised plan the judge came up with. Accept this and move along.

To MN. Same thing. the judge is not going to seal your records completely from the defense. he does not want an appellate issue regarding access to evidence or even the whisper of potential evidence. He will not raise an appealable issue just to smack down JB and CM, no matter how rude annoying or just plain intolerable they may be. So once again the reasonable plan he came up with will stay in place. Yeah get your protests on the record, but once thats done, total up the costs, use the bad faith issue to drop a bill on Baez, and move along.

TIM MILLER: And you know, Greta, if I can say this real quick, I think everybody has just lost sight of what this whole thing is about. I mean, we find all these people out -- all these players out here that are making money off this and exploiting this thing and just forgot about this little girl and all the work detectives have done and we've done and other people have done from the bottom of their heart. You know, it's just saddening. None of these stories are consistent with anything. And again, people are exploiting this for their own personal profit. It's simply disgusting.

VAN SUSTEREN: Tim, I'm trying to figure this out, though, because Jose Baez, the lawyer for Casey Anthony, who sits in the slammer tonight facing the murder charge of this little child who's her daughter -- he's trying to get some information from you. What is he trying to get from you?

MILLER: Jose Baez, as far as I'm concerned, is not going to get one single piece of paper from me. Not one piece of paper.

VAN SUSTEREN: What does he want?

MILLER: He wants every single record...

VAN SUSTEREN: What is he trying go get?

MILLER: He wants every single record that we have. We have over 20,000 copies of paper, and Jose Baez is not getting one piece of paper. If the judge rules on that, you know, my attorney, Mark Nejame, that we will appeal that. We've got many reasons. We were never notified. I'm not going to put the information of 4,000-plus searchers out there with all their personal information.

You know what? These volunteers have been very, very valuable in the past on searches. They're going to be very valuable in the future on searches for missing children. And will they come the next time, when they're afraid that their information is going to be given out? We have not one piece of paper that will be valuable to Jose Baez in any way, shape or form. So I will fight this to the very, very end and -- and you know -- again, we're going to fight that one to the very end, Greta.

VAN SUSTEREN: Did you receive a tip on November 8th, your organization, that was the least bit instructive in this investigation?

MILLER: I'm going to answer the question that is yes. And again, Leonard Padilla went on another show and said that we got a tip leading us to the area. It was not to there by Jim Hoover. I can say this, it was close to there. And the reason he gave us, the witness he gave us was nowhere close to what you reported. And then, of course, Leonard Padilla went on to say that EquuSearch lost the -- you know, lost the records and stuff.

And you know, I'm working very, very close with law enforcement on this. And law enforcement does have that written report from that lead that we got from Jim Hoover. So you know, all these stories are so inconsistent, it's -- it'll just make your head spin.

VAN SUSTEREN: Tim, thank you, as always.

This would be the sighting of the white car on Suburban, I would think. So what if this was a place where KC hung out while waiting for her father to leave for work. Could she have seen him leaving from that location???? We all know she pretended to go to work (like any nomal day) and then returned home after her father left. So if she was parking her car in that exact spot on a regular basis someone was bound to see her. Is that the information that Hoover had???? Just floating an opinion here....

EXCERPT~Summary of interview taken on Sept 2, 2009, page 54, 55
According to Bill Todd, James Hoover came to the command post and told him he had spoken with a young female in the Hopespring neighborhood who indicated she had seen Casey Anthony's car on Suburban Drive prior to her first arrest in July of 2008. The young female told James Hoover the car was backed up to the trail at the dead end Suburban Drive near the school. James Hoover told Bill Todd he (Hoover) was working for the Anthony family at the time and if they learned he was talking to Equusearch he may be fired.

page 187
Mandy Albritton indicated Private Investigator James Hoover had reportedly visited the Texas EquuSearch volunteer tent during one of the searches for Caylee Anthony. According to Mandy Albritton, James Hoover informed volunteers Bill Todd and Brett Churchill that the Anthony family had received a tip from a neighborhood child. The unidentified child reported seeing Casey Anthony's white car backed into the area of Suburban Drive. Mandy Albritton explained that James Hoover did not want the Anthony family to know he was providing this information to Texas EquuSearch.

Ok...why does this sound new to me? Hoover passed on a lead? Was this lead a psychic lead? I thought Ginny's info came later (which prompted the 15th search). Where did DC (and Hoover) get the information to search in the early part of November?

ETA: ok...so Hoover was the one who talked about the white car. Do we know whether or not DC was working on the same tip on the 7th and the 8th?
