Maybe if you tell them you take pictures hanging upside down in the trees and you are friends with the President, they will leave you alone

Doing a quick drive by here. Seems that if JB found 100 people or more that claim they were on Suburban Dr. and the SAO found possibly 32, could that mean that 68+ folks are looking for their 15 minutes of fame .... naw, just two ... JB and Cheney. Won't happen.

I do hope that TES and the magistrate are managing their sanity while over seeing this _________(fill in the blank).

Back to video editing.

Look at Nums24's #3 post under Today's News - Tim Miller agrees it will be more than 100.

According to defense attorney Cheney Mason, between 100 and 200 people have already answered yes.

Tim Miller, the head of Texas EquuSearch, said the number of those who searched the long expanse of Suburban Drive will be far more than 100.

I was and am being sarcastic towards JB and Cheney in that they were the only two who would and have. Searching for searchers .... coming up blank. Seems to be an on-going theme in their defense work. Blank, blank, blank is all they find at every turn they make.

Actually I don't believe anyone with morals and ethics would be looking for 15 minutes of fame who searched for Caylee. I have the utmost respect for you and all the other good, kindhearted searchers who gave up their time and emotions to search for Caylee. Tim for all he has done and will continue to do in the future. Yo'll are truly heros.

I could see from your complete post that you were not implying that I was a fame seeker, your comment right after that was indeed about Cheney and JB, we do know that there is that woman saying she did search that area and is being proved a liar. And IMHO from just my little taste of this she has got to have serious issues to want to plant herself in this mess. like everyone has said Mark Nejame is the best and will not let TES be smeared.

I thought 5th amendment applied to the accused (felony) and not to the people (potential witnesses) being questioned in an active investigation? Am I wrong?

Although, it IS my understanding that there is no legal duty to answer questions I do wonder how/if refusal to cooperate could be interpreted as interfering/hindering in an investigation. (Cops write reports for this all the time and the State levies charges for same)

Attorney input appreciated...

Thanks

I do not think LE is investigating these searchers so I believe anyone has the right to hang up on them if they wish or just say I have no information. You are not obligated to tell anyone anything unless ordered by the court to answer. Same with a PI. You are not obligated to answer questions. jmo

I think it is very real to those that have been called. JMO

yes it is very real for me at least. I have been clamed down, back to normal almost from the caring people here. That have pointed out these things to me. I have actually put in a call to Mark Nejames office and explained what happened on my call and how all this media or at least defense talk about more people ect.... and thought that by my answers that I might be in that crowd. After a few minute wait, they were busy at that moment in a meeting and they took my name and number and said someone will call back. Even if I don't get a call, I am confident I have nothing for the defense.

If it were me and I received the call, I would state that for verification purposes, please provide me with a phone number of where YOU can be reached, and I will call YOU back!!

OR.....send me a letter as I do not answer personal questions over the phone. You never know who you are talking to these days. jmo

I absolutely LOVE both of these suggested responses!

My favorite part is that it is a page out of the defense's own strategic playbook of drag it out and make it as difficult as you can.

I betcha that playbook is filled with bar graphs and Baez printed it on his trusty new laser jet color printer. ;)

I can say for me when the call came it was a man. Pretty serious sounding and he read the script (at the time I didn't know this or that he was being watched) He never said anything was recorded. Just started with the question. And as I previously said at first I just really heard the words TES, Casey Anthonly, and then defense. I think after hearing TES I thought it was them so I was like sure ask me anything. Then is when my mind kept saying defense, defense, and then it hit me it was THEM!

By the way my questions were answered he said he was allowed to ask more.

After the phone call I looked at my caller ID and there is no evidense of a phone call from them. Like never even happend.

fla*mom,
If you watch the local news news it shows that this is being conducted in a courtroom at the Orange County courthouse, on one segment the door was open and you can see the Magistrate sitting in the Judge's chair

Perhaps the phone lines were installed temporarily or are special dedicated lines and the caller id is blocked and won't show up..that could be a possibility.

I mean why waste the court's time. Obviously these searchers are not unaware of what is going on here so if they had valuable information they would have shared it by now. If they were INCLINED to keep that information from the defense they still will. So as Tim M. said this is a waste of time. Not everyone is like the searcher who said she was there and she wasn't. It just sounds like an excuse to waste more time and try the judge's patience.

And if you did not know where the body was prior to searching how can you say I searched that area and it was not there when you don't know exactly where she was at the time. An animal could have dragged that bag to the place where RK found it. We just do not know what the circumstances were at the time of the searches. Those who can give us an educated guess are the forensic people. Witnesses are not that reliable, ask any LEO. jmo

That makes perfect sense.

Just wondering, since he didn't say or at least I don't think he did say that the call was being recorded. The reps for TES do you think they can hear what the caller says? Not that is really matters. Just wondering because if they can't and now the defense is saying oh all these people say they were there on Suburban drive and TES might going What are these people saying to the defense that they look like cats with the canary in thier mouth like we are getting somewhere now!!!

Just curious, what do you think?

Here is what I am wondering, and maybe you can answer this FLA Mom....

During your phone call, did you get the impression you were on speakerphone or that there was more than one person on the line? Is TES and the Magistrate only sitting and monitoring what they can hear in outgoing portion of phone call, or are they able to hear the entire conversation?

I get the impression that Judge Perry underestimated the shenanigans of Team Baez and did not make this order as detailed as it possibly needed to be...such as specifying exactly WHO could initiate calls and exactly what entailed "monitoring" by TES and Magistrate. Judge Perry probably did not expect that Baez intended to attempt to call ALL 4000 volunteers (initiating "cold calls") but may have been under the assumption that on review, there may have been a few that Baez felt had searched close enough to remains site that they should have been included in the 32.

Reason I am asking is that another forum has volunteers discussing the phone calls they received today and some are claiming that the phone call was NOT immediately terminated when they answered NO to the first script question ("Did you search Suburban as TES, or independently?" as stipulated in the court order, but questions were continued being asked.

Posters are also claiming caller id showing telephone number out of Miami/Dade which is leading some to believe investigators with cellphones were calling today from inside the courthouse?

LOL I think Baez and Mason are getting desperate. I am in area code 604 along the west coast of British Columbia and I almost fell off my chair because I just got a call from the 407 area code - Orlando - how weird is that!

I should have answered it and said "Let me talk to Jose!".

Fla*mom: They can't record your conversation without your knowledge as it is against the law in Florida. Remember JJ. So if they did they can't use it. If they tried, they would face charges. jmo

This is what I know or feel comfortable to say. I am familar with the other thread you are talking about, because a concerned person here informed me that someone linked my post over there. I don't have a problem with that now that some of my more detailed posts have been refined as none of us knows what the defense team will or won't do with any of searchers info or how far someone might go to find us. Even though in my instance I only have info for the support of TES and thier upstanding organization.

When the call came in the person sounded serious, an adult male, professional, he stated as these are just the words I remember TES, Casey Anthony, and Defense. Since the first words that computed were TES that is who I thought was calling. So I have not a problem talking to them , he says can I ask you some questions? And I said "Ask away" Then is when the words defense registered in my brain! This is her side! Not that that changes anything I know or said. By the answers I had given he said he was able to ask some more, no problem. When he was done he said they might call back. I did say call back anytime. That was really it.

I didn't get the impression it was on speaker that is why in a post ahead of this one I put out the question could TES hear how the caller responded to the questons asked. In my head I assumed the call would be recorded, but now reading all this info, which I had not done prior to the call, maybe it was not.

I posted before that after the call I checked my caller ID and there is NO evidence of that call. Like It never even happened.

Hope that helps.

So Baez and company are now bothering our members here and TES members? Where would all of these phone calls fit in with, "You will all understand, and "It will all become clear at trial?"
Been pretty sick here so I have a lot of catching up to do when I can.
I hope JB has not managed to upset or intimidate anyone with his stupid phone calls.

  • #1,376
:blowkiss:Thanks to all our members who searched with or without TES along Suburban Drive and beyond!! Sorry to hear about the phone calls but no worries the truth will set you free. I can imagine it's intimidating but how wonderful you have a chance to actively help Caylee. Justice for Caylee! Just focus on that mantra for ehatever comes next,

  • #1,377
I don't remember the road we searched but I know it wasn't the area they showed on the news where little Caylee was found. Glad I won't be getting a call.

Camniesh did they call you about a search other than the one we were on together?

Documents Could Damage Casey Anthony Defense

READ DOCUMENTS: http://www.wftv.com/pdf/25290953/detail.html

http://www.wftv.com/news/25290721/detail.html

<snipped>

Defense witness Laura Buchanan signed an affidavit a year after Caylee was found there claiming she searched the area months earlier, on September 3, with her team of volunteers and Caylee was not there.

But WFTV found Texas EquuSearch documents that show Buchanan and her team were at Blanchard Park that day and even that they found bones there.

Volunteer Lela Radojevic, who was on Buchanan's team that day, says they were at Blanchard Park from morning until late afternoon.

"You were all together all day at Blanchard Park and nobody ever, with you, went to Suburban Drive that day?" WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked Radojevic.

"No," she said.

Bombshell tonight!

The truth will always find a way .....

There are those who want to subvert the truth but ... Caylee has powerful friends on her side and will receive justice.

The Defense can dance with but cannot save the devil incarnate.

Just a little reminder of the famous words of Mr. Cheney Mason....

17. On June 21, 2010, Attorney Cheney Mason, counsel for the defendant, gave an interview to several local media outside of the Orange County Courthouse. During his interview Mr. Mason stated:

Uh yeah, it’s been, the public has made to believe that these people searched the exact area, um, where the body was, or tried to and couldn’t. The fact is that they didn’t try to, and they didn’t, they weren’t there, and it was impassible at the time. So there’s a lot of people who are mistaking things of what happened back in the Summer of 2008 and what happened in the Winter of 2008.

Motion to Quash filed 7/22/10 by TES
