Yes, I do believe they want Casey to see the light of day again. It is all about winning. Of course they know she killed Caylee. That doesn't matter. They knew she stole checks from her own grandmother and that money was used to help fund the nursing home expenses for her sick grandfather, too. (uh...can it get any more despicable?!) They knew she stole from Amy. They knew she lied about (and made a lame attempt to forge) a $4,000 deposit. They knew she lied about working -- ANYWHERE, imo. We could go on forever. God only knows what THEY KNOW that WE DON'T KNOW about. None of it matters. The only thing that matters is getting Casey acquitted. The only thing I am not sure of is which motivates them more: freeing Casey or the chance to gloat in the face of the general public who they believe have treated them so unfairly.

The Anthony's play the victim. It is them against the world. They complain about being maligned and unfairly judged. No one understands them. Boo hoo, boo hoo, boo hoo. They take responsibility for absolutely nothing.

Sorry for veering so far OT. I am ticked and need to get off of WS until I cool off.

Yes, but if KC is convicted they still win. They win at keeping KC right where she is and never having to worry about her stealing money from anyone or all the antics she's pulled, they win at raking in all the money from the trial, movie deals, book deals, the continued trips, tattoos and what ever else they can find or do. So I feel for the A's it's a win, win either way it goes. KC will not need any of the money, so who gets it from the deals? They know, they know what happened to Caylee, there is not a doubt in my mind. But all they see is $$$ signs. Sad but true.

The only thing now is to hope and pray LDB and JA put KC to far away she won't see the light of day and pray the A's will be next on their list. It will happen in due time.

I don't think it's the world, Expecting. I think it's the players in this case.

Do the A's really want KC to see the light of day again or is it all show for us the viewers? I believe they (the A's) know what happened to Caylee. I believe that from the bottom of my heart. But, they say they are going to stand by their daughter. Why? KC was the last known person to see Caylee alive. There is no nanny, there is no stranger abduction, there is nothing that leads away from KC.

The defense has nothing. Absolutely nothing. So...let's bring these people (searchers) into the mix, stir the pot and walk away. Now what have they accomplished besides stirring the pot? They have created a doubt in my mind that I may never go on another search again. They've created with Fla*Mom, hesitant to speak about it, they've angered you and others.

All one can do is tell the truth. You and I and others that live in Central FL, know how much water was dumped on us in Aug 08. We also know and Fla*Mom has verified that the area where Caylee was found is a bowl shape piece of land. When as much rain as we had those few days saturates the land, we know it will take weeks for it to recede. The defense knows this too. They are just grasping.

Fla*Mom I know this is easier said than done, but take a deep breath, relax and know you did this for Caylee. No one else, just Caylee. No one matters in all this except this sweet baby that didn't have a chance. "You" are not alone in all this. I believe Caylee will be with you and anyone that is drug into this mess. She needs justice and I believe with all the wonderful people here and others she will get it. It won't be tomorrow, but it will be soon.

Expecting....the A's will have to answer one day. It may not be on this earth for you and I to witness, but I'm sure it will happen. Sorry to ramble on.

BBM
Agreed.
Most if not all roadways are built up to help divert rain water into sewers, swales along roadways which lead to retention ponds and conservation or wooded/swampy areas. The land can not soak up the water and it becomes saturate and flooded to the point that it does not dry up for months, and it does not take much rain for that to occur.

Seems to me, the SA can quickly put this to bed at trial by introducing topographical maps and 3D cutaways showing the literal "lay of the land" plus a knowledgeable witness or two testifying to the rainfall levels that summer.

Not that I expect the defense to let facts get in the way of their desperate fantasies, or stop them from harassing the good people who searched for Caylee in good faith. But if they have been reduced to wordplay about "water on Suburban Drive" they are in deeper water than little Caylee ever was, and they know it.

Keep the faith.

My contribution/unsolicited advice:

If there is a next time, do not allow this person in your home. You made him too comfortable. Make him stand on the stoop/porch out in the weather. His questions will be shorter, and you will not give him the opportunity to (a) see what you have in your house and (b) get so comfortable that he can make small talk and weasel his way into your confidence.

He has no right to be in your house unless you invite him in. You can truthfully answer questions at the door.

bbm
That's what I did with the PI that had come to my door..I don't let strangers in my home, even a female PI who tried to be my new bff for a few moments in order to get info from me.

Good Morning. Please correct me if I am wrong. I will be interested to see if/when the defense submits invoices to the JAC for PI services. Wasn't the defense only supposed to use local PI's for local investigations? J Lyons is not local IIRC.

He has an office in Florida. My guess he is licensed in Florida. Interesting to see when he received his license.

Somehow, I'm just not seeing the A's believing it would be a win to be known to the world as the "parents of a convicted murderer."

They care WAY too much about perception. George doesn't want anyone to believe he could raise someone who could hurt her daughter... and Cindy.... well, she just wants the world to believe they were the perfect little family living in their perfect little home going about their perfect little life.

And I have no doubt that if by some miracle KC were to be acquitted due to reasonable doubt, Cindy would snub the rest of the world, saying, "See, I told you there was a Zanny, who owned a little white dog, and stole then murdered Caylee... and my daughter really is Mother of the Year because she protected her family for so long while she was willing to sit in jail."

A year ago, Jose was telling the judge he needed a chance to verify things some TES searchers had to say!!!!
Linda Drane Burdick is at her finest here. She is the one for those interns behind the defense rows to watch! MOO

I see that person found another blog to infiltrate with Defense slant, after they were told to STOP sleuthing TES searchers, and was BANNED from here!
I wonder if the Mods of that blog have been warned about this person?

Hi ThinkTank.

He or She is a [unusual person]. always trying to get the thread shut down and has done so. I just wish the other bloggers would just hit ignore, and don't respond to any coments he/she has.

Wonder if all those names that popped up today on the transcription motion are new "searchers".

As of right now, there is no TOS violations so my comments are coming from strictly a personal one and not as a moderator.....

I have to agree with Gnatcatcher above, and am going to suggest that anyone who has contact with a defense investigator should now consider themselves to be a possible future defense witness and should refrain from discussing details of what was discussed with a PI online.

This is a public forum and the minute you start posting details of where you were on Suburban, what you told the investigator, etc....it becomes a statement from you, persay.

Even though you are being completely honest, to the best of your recollection after 2 years, even the slightest deviance in details will give the defense that one little opening to exploit. As we have seen, the defense is very good at the "word game" since that is all they have going for them at this point....

Even though in the end, your truth will stand out, it could be a very hard and dirty road you have to travel down to get there. So I would be careful about what you are memorializing online...

One more tidbit of personal advice....I have testified as a witness in three trials and in all three cases, the attorneys and DAs coached me to:

1. Only answer the question asked....in as few of words as possible (yes/no).

2. Do not add additional commentary to any direct answer.

Just some friendly advice....
I can see that happening. Like..."Oh...but you can't say the wasn't dry, now can you?"
I pray this case doesn't get any messier than it already has.

and just a thought .... it will not be difficult for same investigator to put 2 and 2 together and figure out that screen name "fla *mom" on WS is the woman he interviewed today, and can monitor this site for what is being said by whom, and perhaps give the Defense grounds to complain that specific bloggers are not giving Inmate Anthony a fair trial?? Maybe try to open a door for the Defense to bring bloggers into the case?

Yes, a poster on another forum long suspected of having close ties to the defense team alluded to such earlier today....

Alluding and intimidating are pretty close cousins in my book. I'd sure hate to see any potential witnesses intimidated ~ or even feel like they are! :silenced: But at this point nothing would surprise me.

:waitasec: Seems to me, everytime that person (or personS) posts, on whatever site, they tip the defense's hand. They function like the defense's canary in the coal mine. The IS post in question here pretty much lays out what the defense hopes to do with these ridiculous TES investigations... but why would they want to alert anyone to what they might be digging for? (Not that we aren't pretty much aware and prepared ahead of time, every time, but YKWIM?)

It is all very :banghead: IMO. Agree with previous poster who suggested ignore feature, but want to add "take notes, THEN ignore." :twocents:

Casey Defense Witness Backs Out Of Questioning

http://www.wftv.com/news/25370431/detail.html

<snipped>

A key witness, who could help defend Casey Anthony, backed out of being questioned under oath about falsifying documents, but Texas EquuSearch volunteer Laura Buchanan can't avoid prosecutors forever. She's under subpoena and she will have to answer their questions under oath about whether she made up a document to help Casey.

Investigators are looking into allegations that Buchanan falsified records to make it appear as though Caylee Anthony's body was not in the woods near her house on Suburban Drive in September 2008. That was three months after Caylee disappeared, and three months before she was found.

Buchanan was to be deposed by prosecutors for a second time Wednesday about those records. However, Tuesday, Buchanan backed out saying she was ill.

I hope she's got a sick note.....

Dear Prosecutors,

I am sick today and I am going to be sick tomorrow.

Please let me be excused as I don't want to play anymore. Wah, wah.
