I believe that report was a mistake Windy. There's no way they'd have the tox results that quickly and even if they did, there's no way it would be released to the media. Its against the law to release medical information about patients without their consent. As Britney has no legal representation at this point, it cannot happen.

And on a side note...Why does she have to be mentally ill? Why can't we just accept that she's young and grew up in a competitive difficult environment that once she made it, surrounded her with yes-people and partiers, and she's fallen victim to it? She might be depressed, but in a town where "my therapist says" is a cliche, she's in a better position to get help than many other people.

In the meantime, those two precious boys are growing up every day.
I don't see a good solution as far as they are concerned. They have parents with problems and at least one set of grandparents with problems.

I really wanted and hoped with all my heart Brit would NOT have a alcohol/drug prob...even though I KNOW how hard it is to deal with a mental prob...

I guess I was wondering more what is K-fed's parents relationship with the boys and/or K-fed now? We hear alot about the Spears....but what about the Federline grandparents? What is THEIR relationship with K, the boys, Brit, etc...

Did they hear her attorneys' motion to withdraw today during the time they spent in chambers? I thought there was a hearing on that scheduled within a week or so, but it might have already been done. Wasn't her lawyer at the hospital with her early this morning? Maybe I'm mistaken . .

I think Britney's major problem is that she had no idea what it would be like to have children - the sacrifices, their constant needs, having a little one depend on you for EVERYTHING. I think the reality of this put her over the edge. JMHO.

I haven't read through this whole thread,but I do think Brittany is mentally ill,whether its PPD,or the onset of some other disorder,she needs serious help. I think some of this behavior is a cry for help,because I think she truelly loves her kids and if she had any control over her behavior ,she would be acting different. I think she surrounds herself with people who don't confront her on anything including her parents. She needs an intervention desperatly,but nobody seems to care enough about the girl.
It bothers me that Madonna, her so called friend,has dropped her because she is not true to her religion. I doubt Brittany has any true friends.Its a very sad situation. I shudder to look ahead 15 years from now to see what becomes of those poor babies.

She has isolated herself from her parents. They have confronted her about her behavior. How do you do an intervention on someone that has a guard at the gate of their home...the same person that couldn't/wouldn't show for court dates and business related meetings? She's in too deep...she needed something of this nature to happen so the court could step in and order her hospitalization, etc.

Great point. I think having kids really does unleash issues for so many people. It's a loaded action - starting a family!!! I've been off balance ever since giving birth to my sons!

I believe it has been confirmed that she wasn't under the influence of any substance and that she broke no criminal laws - so no charges will be filed.

I am appalled at Dr. Phil capitalizing on her travails-unless someone shows me that she called him, I think he is pond scum for talking about her to the press. There is such a thing as Dr/Patient confidentiality whether or not she requested he help her....he is bound by the same laws as every other therapist in the nation, isn't he?

Tmz has it posted that Dr. Phil was not wanted, and CS dr's are pissed about it. He does not have Patient rights there etc. Also that Brit walked out of the room and wanted nothing to do with his show.

The shrinks had various things to say about Dr. Phil's visit to Brit's room, but the theme was unified -- that the hospital should not allow any doctor who does not have in-patient privileges into a patient's room, unless that patient has given prior consent. TMZ has learned Britney had no idea Dr. Phil was coming to her room and indeed when he walked in she became agitated and walked out. She eventually came back in and he pretty much did all the talking for around 15 minutes.

But (I dislike dr phil so don't know much about him) is he a true psychiatrist? If so, Can't he have complaintes lodged against him where's he's licensed at by CS or the other dr's for this behavior? Well, maybe not CS since they let him in there...but the dr's or even us as the general public? That's just sick IMO even moreso by someone who's supposed to help people through their trauma's not create new ones.

I read today ( on either TMZ or ET) that she had consumed Ritalin, OxyContin, and large doses of Nyquil and alcohol. Apparently, the stimulant Ritalin kept her from OD'ing and dying from the other drugs- IF she took a large dose, that is.

However, it's becoming clear to me that no one knows exactly what happened in her house, at the hospital, or with Dr. Phil. We are taking tabloid- type reports about it all.

It was the hospital's job under the HIPAA act to keep Britney safe and secure. If Dr. Phil got in, then, IMO, he was invited to be there, no matter what the tabs are saying at present, or the hospital did not perform up to standards with due diligence to safeguard a patient's privacy.

In fact, I think the first reports, that Brit is at Dr.Phil's house with he and his wife, may be correct. We do NOT know. We know what we are told, and some old videos may be shown or doctored, but I think she's with someone who can help her and observe her. I hope that's true, anyway.
It makes a lot more sense that she left with Dr. Phil than the published reports that she drove herself home. In published reports, she had consumed prescription and non- prescription drugs which weren't illegal as well as vodka. Two of the most serious drugs mentioned ( if true) were Ritalin, which she apparently still takes for ADHD, and OxyContin, reason for Rx unknown.

Perhaps he is acting on her behalf, SeekingJana, but then he needs to keep his mouth shut to the press because he is bound by confidentiality unless she has hired him as her spokesman. If I had just had such a public meltdown with such a potentially lethal combination of meds in my system (Ritalin, alcohol and Oxycontin are quite impressive and she is too old for Ritalin), I would not want someone detailing their concern for me to the media...and that is the least of the nonsense I have read. Dr. Phil is not looking at her for her-he is looking at ratings, come on.
