"And Justice For Some"

I know that IF my sister had of been killed, in OUR home...with ME sleeping just feet away, and my parents didn't seek help for me...I wouldn't be "quite right" either. Did this person say if Burke had always been that way, or was it due to his sister's death, and him not getting treatment??

Did not say, just had it on a well informed source that Burke was not dealing with 52.

John's 98 Interview:

6 JOHN RAMSEY: Well, all I can specifically
7 remember was the cracked crab. I think they had a
8 turkey dinner. But I think she made, she always
9 makes these little hot dogs with barbecue sauce
10 that the kids love. I remember her specifically,
11 Priscilla coming over this big plate of cracked
12 plate making little plates, and I wanted to save
13 these out for JonBenet and she took them out and
14 put them in the plate.

15 LOU SMIT: What were they?
16 JOHN RAMSEY: I think it was the cracked
17 crab.
18 MIKE KANE: What is cracked crab? I'm from
19 the east. I don't know --
20 JOHN RAMSEY: She doesn't take all of it.
21 It's like pieces of crab that are cut up. They're
22 cold.
23 MIKE KANE: They're real crab?
24 JOHN RAMSEY: Yeah. They're boiled like.
25 They're already broken. They're like just chunks
0102
1 of, like somebody has already broken up the legs
2 and I guess it was like king crab that was
3 partially open.
4 MIKE KANE: Okay.
5 JOHN RAMSEY: But she specifically, I
6 just remember her making little plates going down
7 the line. Which, in retrospect, seems a little
8 strange.

From PR's 98 Interview...

23 TRIP DEMUTH: Okay. But you do remember the
24 cracked crab.
25 PATSY RAMSEY: I just remember Priscilla had
0492
1 dip and she said, I know your kids like seafood. I
2 will hold this little plate out for JonBenet to make
3 sure she gets some.
4 TRIP DEMUTH: You remember that.
5 PATSY RAMSEY: I remember that. Well, I
6 thought that is nice to make sure that we don't devour
7 it before the kids get some, but she specifically
8 mentioned JonBenet's name. And at that time it kind
9 of, you know, flew over. But then when you are trying
10 to remember things later, it seems, you know, a little
11 strange.

John: "IN RETROSPECT" = Patsy: "...WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO REMEMBER THINGS LATER"

John: "SEEMS A LITTLE STRANGE"

Patsy: "SEEMS, you know, A LITTLE STRANGE"

I think I said this before, but what was PW supposed to do,THROW it at them???? WHY oh why would it be strange to go down the line????

Did not say, just had it on a well informed source that Burke was not dealing with 52.

I think it was BR himself and Patsy as well, that said he immersed himself into his nintendo games after the murder ...if true, then he was obv. looking for an escape from reality, much like Patsy not being able to stay in one place for long after JB's death. They were both looking for a way to run away from it all..
..and poor BR never got the help he needed. Some parents they were.

I think I said this before, but what was PW supposed to do,THROW it at them???? WHY oh why would it be strange to go down the line????

I believe that John and Patsy BOTH were referring to JB being served cracked crab...not the fact that she went down the line. Even though, John had asked PW to save a plate for JB. He at first said that he ASKED her to make JB a plate of cracked crab, and then a few lines down...he said that it was "strange" that she did it. Patsy said that PW specifically said that she was going to save some cracked crab out for JB....which, Patsy thought was "strange"...even though..her husband JOHN...had asked PW to do so. In other words...Patsy and John both thought it was strange that PW saved out some cracked crab....even though in the earler portion of John's intervew...before he stated that it was "strange"...he stated that he had ASKED PW to save it for JB. So he changed his story....YET AGAIN.

That would be the same thing as you asking a friend to do a favor for you, and then, when they do it...you call it "strange" that they did it...:waitasec:

My take on it is...they were implying that PW could have drugged JB with the cracked crab. They saw this as YET ANOTHER chance to blame someone else.

Yes, I am better. I was itching to get back in the game. Now I'm here.

And I appreciate everyone's concern. I was concerned too.

I'm sure,I was just referring to this part:

5 JOHN RAMSEY: But she specifically, I
6 just remember her making little plates going down
7 the line. Which, in retrospect, seems a little
8 strange.

JR is trying to say it was 'strange' she went down the line when serving crab?why on earth would it be..he is strange for trying to say it was! lol.

Oh I see the part that you were referring to. Yeah, it does look like he thought it was strange of PW to go down the line, with those plates...doesn't it?? And Patsy thought that it was strange that PW mentioned JB specifically by name....and said that she was saving a plate for her. Yes, I guess that going down the line...handing out little plates of food to the children...(of which JB was one of them...she WAS a child afterall).....after the father of one of them specifically asked PW to save out a plate for his daughter (JB).....is a little "strange"....same ole same ole...:boohoo: the Rams trying to put the subtle blame on someone else. Since it was so "strange"...I guess that "means" that the White's drugged JB with the cracked crab. EVEN THOUGH, no drugs were found in her system...that IS what they were implying.

and they needed a reason to say she fell asleep on the way home, and didn't wake up upon arrival,I suppose.
I don't know about other kids, but mine would have done that at age 4 and under...but by age 6,if they'd fallen asleep on the way home, they were wide awake once we got them out of the car...to be carried to bed at that age is a bit old,IMO.But the point is moot, because I don't believe she was drugged nor asleep when they got back.

I guess that was "strange" the way the Kleenex box was "strange", the teabag in the "water glass" was "strange" and the serving spoon in the pineapple bowl was "strange" and....oh, yeah, the 9-year old son who is completely oblivious to the DEATH OF HIS SISTER!

I don't see how you can assume that she was neg. for all drugs...She was neg. for the drugs they specifically tested for....There is no one overall drug screen...That's why so many poisoning deaths go unprosecuted..

Do we have the tox screen results anywhere??

Not specfically, that I am aware of. The autopsy simply states that no drugs were found. I imagine that in a child homicide, ANY drug would show up in tox reports, even OTC stuff like aspirin, cold meds, etc. Hopefully, in trying to solve a murder, the coroner would test for ANY drug that might cause death or unconsciousness. But 'ya never know!

ANY drug would show up in tox reports, even OTC stuff like aspirin, cold meds, etc.

You're mistaken...They test for routine drugs of abuse or drugs that are specifically suspected...There is no one drug screen that shows up everything. Each drug is a specific test.

That's why in these suspicious overdose death cases (e.g., Anna Nicole) it takes 6 weeks to get a tox report...because they're literally testing for the whole pharmacy, one drug at a time.

I see your point, but in a case like this you'd think they would test for "the pharmacy" as you put it. BUT- she was "released" (actually, she was gotten rid of) by the coroner's office too quickly for that. The Rs had a show to put on- the funeral of America's Princess (PR's words) - their little Beauty Queen. The DA's office wasn't letting anything interfere with getting that show on the road, and getting her buried- in Atlanta- where exhumation could be refused. And it was. The window to test further for drugs (stun gun marks, too) was closed for good. Funny, isn't it- that evidence of stun gun use could have helped the "intruder" theory. Yet, the Rs refused to consider exhumation, as awful as it would have been, to prove it one way or the other. Either way, it makes R behavior suspicious. If NO stun gun, then it inches the "intruder" a bit farther away. If ther WAS proof of stun gun use- well, there WAS that stun gun brochure found in the R's home....

right on,and the 'you're ransoming her body' plot..come on now...it was just premature to release her.the R's sure were nervous about having her there for long.

as morbid as it might sound,I suspect a lot of parents might welcome the chance to 'see' their daughter again,so to speak. Not so with the R's,even though Patsy was saying she looks 'perfect'. (although I admit,I don't know much about decay after embalming and how long that takes).
Now go ahead and throw some comments out there IDI's,it's just a general statement.

I thought this deserved its own thread.

Wendy Murphy has written extensively on the JBR case in her new book "And Justice For Some," which I read finished.

Some of these details we've already discussed, but others are new. At least to me. Like John's sweater fibers being on JB's genitals. Now how did that happen? When John is asked about this his lawyer goes ballistic. Very strange reaction! Why did that trigger such an outburst?

QUOTE]

I recall seeing the video of the interrogation. This statement is not verbatim. John is told why his shirt fibers were found on JonBenet's genital area. John replies, "Bulls**t! I will not have you tarnishing my and my daughters relationship!"

I thought this was a ploy on the detectives part...as in, he was not telling the truth. LE can lie to get a suspect's response to the accusation.

Credited memory.

Murphy and Thomas, a devil's brew in applied logic. Potential conclusions are staggering.

Afraid I can't agree. She didn't say anything that isn't in the public record.

Had they exhumed the body relatively soon- a few weeks or even months- there would be discoloration and some decomposition of course. Nothing a parent would want to see, believe me. But it would have certainly been possible to test those "rust-colored abrasions" for the telltale burn of a stungun, and even do some toxicology.

Yeah, and who said that THEY had to be there during the second autopsy. I just find that very odd that they wouldn't want a second autopsy done...anything to help find their daughter's killer. IMO, they were afraid of what the 2nd autopsy might find.....something that would inciminate them EVEN MORE.

right on Ames..I only mention 'seeing' her again because I happened to think about our cat who died back in '03...he was 16 yrs old,so he was pretty much like a 'teenager' to us by then,a real part of the family.I put him in an airtight pet casket (you can get those now) and buried him. When we moved,my husb. dug it up to take with us.I just couldn't leave him behind.
I was thinking that I sure would welcome the chance to see him again, but even though it's airtight,I don't know how much anerobic (non-oxygen using) bacteria can cause an animal to degrade. So we just buried the casket again.

AWWWW...that is so sad!
