While reading a little on another forum tonight, there was a poster there saying that she has a connection to the entertainment industry. She disclosed that the A's lawyer is trying to get immunity for them not only for protection against charges, but also so they can seal a deal w/ one of the major networks (for a movie?). The networks won't want to sign a deal if it could be potentially negated by an indictment. (probably ABC since they already have the photo/video rights, I think).

Making money off the death of a grandchild and the demise of a daughter seems tawdry to me. To say the least.

Oh I DO agree with you. All that is needed for conviction most likely will be the [31 days + her behavior].

Well- I voted not sure. Because of the personality disorder I believe Cindy suffers from I do think there is a high probability that she would turn on Casey if it came down to Cindy herself facing jail time or telling the truth about what she knows. As far as George goes well- IMO he will go along with what ever Cindy tells him to.

LE had KC indicted and charged her with Murder 1 despite the A's inability to say one truthful word. If any of them are guilty of any wrongdoing in this case, why on Earth would LE want to give them a free ride for their testimony? Because of their lies and "inconsistencies" throughout this entire tragedy, even if they swear to testify for the prosecution, Baez will just dessimate them as witnesses with the age old double roundhouse punch, "were you lying then, or are you lying now?" and "were you offered anything in exchange for your testimony here today?"

Why bother giving them a free ride? They can't help anyone anymore. They are all too incredible as witnesses. IMHO they are begging for immunity to save themselves from felony charges and no one is offering a life line.

It takes 2 sides to negotiate and so far they are trying to bargain alone.

Remember it was over a month later when he gave that statement about seeing KC and Caylee leave the house.
He didn't know at the time it would be the last time he saw little Caylee (if his story is true).

Yes. It is rather like trying to buy a house that someone doesn't want to sell. They can keep upping the price they will pay, but the person who owns the house can simply say, "not for sale". Imminent Domain doesn't apply here.

I have never believed his story for the 16th. It isn't plausible to think that Caylee stayed in her room all morning until he saw them without eating breakfast, playing, watching videos, or whatever her routine entailed. 2 year olds don't stay "quiet" for hours on end either.

Further, George's e-pass receipt shows he was out of the house, yet he never mentioned it.

I have never believed George, Cindy, or Lee had actual involvement with what happened to Caylee. I thought George and Cindy were doing stuff to cover for Casey, but in more of a broad, general way, not with actual knowledge.
But today something about finding the remains and the immediate search warrants for the Anthony home have really caught my attention.
The searchers found something with the remains, OCSD even says so in an article, but refuses to elaborate on what was found, that directly link the remains back to the house. It has to be something above and beyond, because Caylee did live there, afterall.
George and Cindy's attorney starts seeking immunity at this time. Next thing, Lee lawyers up, and his attorney also seeks immunity, stating Lee could be in trouble for something he did inadvertently.
Could what they found tie George and Cindy, and not just their house, to the remains? And could Lee, trying to be the good son, have played a part, not knowing what was going on?
What did LE find with the remains that made such an impact??

I do not believe the GP's are capable of adopting the attitude 'its all about Caylee' when it concerns justice. So far 'its all about Casey' and protecting the family's image.

We tell our children at this age to tell the truth regardless of the consequences and I am sure the family has asked this of Caylee many times. Her family even when it involves the death of their own child wants the truth to be conditional of them not having to face the consequences of their actions. Yet, they have asked the same of Caylee many times.

The unconditional truth would have shown some token of love and respect for this poor child and would brought about some closure and forgiveness. It would have shown others, as they have asked Caylee to tell the truth and face the consequences ... they are willing to do the same for her.

In the end, Caylee has given so much more to her family (the truth) then what they are willing to give to her.

in my opinion they shouldn't need immunity if they are innocent and telling the truth. This alone speaks volumes as JVM would say. They had a chance to tell the truth all along. No special treatment now imo, Just because no more harm can come to Caylee at this point, no way no how, tell the truth period and show your daughter in jail how to take responsibility for your actions!!!! Show her that when you do the crime you do the time. Not hold back, and wait for a loophole to get you out of every situation. No respect for any of them.

btw i voted no, because they have been lying to themselves for so long trying to protect the family from outside scrutiny that I doubt they know how to be open and honest about anything anymore. Even the Judge said it in his statement that the truth and Ms Anthony are strangers, this comes from years of lies told by this family to suit their needs. IMO this is their new life, in the spotlight and Cindy and Casey love it, in some sick way it makes them feel important.

Anyone with a family member living in their home accused of murder would probably like to have Immunity "just in case" they accidently or inadvertantly did or said something during the investigation wrong. How many people do we see request it? Granted, I haven't researched this area...but I cannot recall any. Now, all of the sudden we have 3 people from one family who are trying to obtain it. What is wrong with this picture?

This "he may have done something inadvertently" stuff is rubbish. If, for example, my sister kills her child and uses duct tape. I live in the same house, finish off the roll of duct tape and throw it out without having any idea that it has any relevance to the case....there is no way they will prosecute if it's done inadvertently or unintentionally, unless they believe otherwise.

I think in reference to Lee, they are saying that all the information he was "investigating" that he was not handing over to LE is the problem. (I could be wrong.)
