Anthonys Seek Private Jail Visit With Casey

JBean, I think you're stuck with the fact that the media will request it. They don't need to do it on my account, but they will ask for any Casey jailhouse videos.

I totally agree and I guess i am just questioning their motives.

It will never happen. If the sheriffs office does this for them, then it should be done for every other inmate in Florida.
Casey doesn't deserve privacy, she gave that up the day she took Caylee's life.
:banghead:

I think it's a great idea. Private to the public with the A's wearing a wire while they try to get a confession from Casey.

She can have what they call a "shade meeting" with her lawyer or a priest, but she must meet her parents in the "sunshine." It's just that simple. It has nothing to do with what the jail will or will not do. It is the jail's customary procedure to videotape visitations and they cannot just willy nilly decide not to tape Casey's visitors. From that point on, it is not the jail's decision as to whether or not it will be released. The quoted article stated the situation incorrectly. If the tape is requested I feel certain it will be released. There is no "partly cloudy" weather in this set of laws!
So if the A's want a meeting that cannot be recorded or released or even observed by LE all they have to do is get credentials as licensed/ordained ministers?

Actually they have asked for it not to be released
They understand it has to be videod but they asked for it not to be released
Brad Conway, the Anthonys attorney, said the family realizes the video session with Casey Anthony would have to be monitored by jail staff but they do not want a video of it released.

I see nothing wrong with it.

Im sure that they are all sick to death of having every word, every flinch, every eyebrow raise, every movement mocked and stripped apart by the public

Even if you think Casey does not deserve some privacy, her parents definitely DO

They put themselves in the spotlight from day 31. And not in a very admirable way. IMO.

why are they so worried about it being relesed if they truly belive she is innocent? I just don't get it. It still and always will be all about KC. They are probably afraid she is mad at them after her statemnet and want to run to console her

Lots of inmates would probably like to say what they wanted to "visitors"without the possibility of their words being used against them during trial.

The laws being what they are, what is "discovery" can eventually end up in the hands of the media.

Maybe the defense would rather be surprised at trial?

You know, after thinking about this a little bit, I really want LE to allow this!

Then we would see if 1) casey wants to see her family and 2) if JB allows it

I actually REALLY hope this happens!

You're so funny. In reading this thread I see you go from "No Way" to "Well, I Dunno, maybe" to "HECK YEAH". I appreciate your honesty and the fact that you are flexible in your views.

And the fact that I nearly always agree with you doesn't hurt, either. :D

I'm trying to figure out why the attorneys made a public announcement about the family's wishes for a private visit.

you cant have different rules for differnet inmates

it will open up a can of worms from all the other defense atty's defending all the other inmates

judges hate it when that happens :D

The media has found it hard to sell newspapers and tv ad time when they focus on stories about normal or even good things. The A's have caught the attention of the worldwide media because everything involved has been odd, disturbing, illegal, bizzare, macabre, or just unbelievable. Each day brings a new sordid twist. Every facet is so loaded with disturbing facts. The media sees it as easy ratings and will continue to exploit every minute detail.

Somewhere, lost in all of this is a two year old who paid a pretty heavy price so that NG can get a bigger contract next year, T. Turner can buy more real estate, and the rest of the media moguls can get figuratively fatter financially on a daily basis. I stand by my signature almost daily.

I am attacking neither you or your post. :blowkiss:

The law is the law. Who cares if we agree or not it's the law. They are not above the law. Case closed.

That's the way they roll. :D This isn't the first time BC came out and said they wanted a private meeting with Casey.
