GUILTY AR - Dr. Randeep & Sangeeta Mann for car bombing, West Memphis, 2009

I wonder why the TV station took down the presser.

The full force of the explosion went out the front of the car. The windshield appears to be undamaged ( I enlarged & can see reflections of trees & sky) & the doors are closed & I couldn't see damage there.... He must have triggerred the device when he clicked the remote as he approached.... or someone could have been watching & waiting for him to come out...... I am just amazed that the glass was not shattered!

This is so sad, his children could have been with him.

Comment left at the below link. This might explain reporters asking the Chief if he knew about pending lawsuits or court cases:

I messed up in my first reply. He was a DEFENDANT in a lawsuit (as physicians often are). That's not a "conspiracy." That's fact. And sometimes litigation leads people to get reallllly angry. Not saying this had any connection, but it's just interesting that Jan. 22 he was successful in severing from a lawsuit appeal.

I posted the link to the Lawsuit on page 1.

So was a monitary judgement levied against the plaintiffs as well as the case against Trent Pierce dismissed?

Appellants filed a notice of appeal of the orders granting the motions to dismiss as well as the order granting summary judgment to Trent P. Pierce, on September 30, 2008, and filed an amended notice of appeal on November 5, 2008, to include the orders granting summary judgment.

It's okay SusieQ :)

I was looking at this victim and I'm wondering if this might be job related retaliation?

He is on the board that supervises doctors and their license to practice.

If you google his name he has been in a few cases whereby a couple of physicians have been in trouble in the last year.

Might have nothing to do with this explosion but I'll post it all the same if no one minds:

Would the use of an explosive in this case, indicate a perp that is more sophisticated in thinking?

And of course to add to that, the appeal that was dismissed in JAN 09.

Thanks Kat! Great finds. You are on top of it. More info on the lawsuit.

Pierce, however, is named as a co-defendant in a case that last month made its way to the Arkansas State Supreme Court, where his motion to dismiss the appeal was granted Jan. 22.
The lawsuit was brought by the estate of a deceased woman, Norma Louise Ramsey, against Pierce, a senior citizens' medical facility called Golden Living — formerly known as Beverly Enterprises — the Memphis Dermatology Clinic and other defendants.
A spokesman for Golden Living told FOXNews.com that he was looking into the matter.

The below is from Kat's link. This guy has lost his house and everything. I wonder if his case was what today's meeting was about?

Dr. Jay Clarence Arendall has two months to notify the board he’s scheduled an evaluation at a treatment facility for sexual deviants. If the board doesn’t hear from him by its next scheduled meeting in February, board members will move forward with his case, board attorney Bill Trice said.

A close up pic of the car and an interesting remark at the below linked article.

“I doubt seriously if any recent board decisions had anything to do with this,” Mr. Trice said. “The chairman usually doesn’t vote, except to break a tie,” he added, and he could recall no such tie-breaking votes in recent years.

Interesting that he was to go to a board meeting this afternoon, wonder what was on the agenda?

I can't find anything that lists an agenda for the meeting caffeinated. I wonder too, what was going to be discussed. I find it interesting that the Dr. that was mentioned on the thread in page 2 was supposed to respond to the board for the FEB 09 meeting or else they would go forward with his case.

Pierce had been due in Little Rock later Wednesday in advance of Thursday and Friday's medical board meeting. The board agenda includes at least seven doctors who previously faced discipline.

State police used bomb-sniffing dogs Wednesday afternoon to scan the board's headquarters office. The board regulates more than 8,000 doctors, 3,000 therapists and nearly 400 osteopaths.

Though the motive for the attack was unknown, Gov. Mike Beebe was among those expressing concern for other board members. "I think law enforcement's reaching out, because you don't know if this was connected to the medical board or it was just something individual," Beebe said. "To be safe, I think everybody's trying to alert all the members of the medical board to be able to use extra caution."

I don't know if or how it would fit, but this town has basically two industries ...truckstops and a dog track. The track draws lots and lots of people out of Memphis. And how can I say this ... I'm pretty sure that those people did not ever belong to the same Cotillion that you or I did.

Maybe he is part owner of Beverly Enterprises.

Could be that he is the Medical Director at this particular facility or, maybe he was her family physician.
