GUILTY AR - Jersey Bridgeman, 6, raped & murdered, Bentonville, 20 Nov 2012 #1

  • #541
Oh, he was suspect in my eyes as well. There are things that still don't make sense. Like, how did the neighbor take the girl in the middle of the night, without anyone hearing a thing? That house is like 1000 sq ft. We're the kids left alone? I guess we will find out more on Wed.

An intruder can enter a home without anyone hearing a thing. Recently I was home alone in my living room reading late one night when an intruder entered my home by climbing through my son's bedroom window. I never heard a thing.

I should be happy they caught him, and I really am, but I am just so so sad tonight. It's all cementing that Jersey really did face what is my worst nightmare for my child, or any child. It's real, and it's HERE. My heart aches for what Jersey had to experience in her final moments. I am so disgusted with the scum layer of the human race right now. I ache for her. I ache for her family. I ache for our community.
Oh Abby, I am with you completely in the sadness you're feeling. Upon learning of this arrest, I was overwhelmed, relieved and so thankful that this person was caught. But within seconds the sorrow for what poor little Jersey went through just brought me to tears.
I am relieved and thankful, but its very difficult not to cry for this sweet little one. For the all too many children who should never have to live and die the way Jersey did. The sorrow is great, I know...
So let me say that my thoughts are with all of you who are feeling the pain.
Let's just hope and pray that Jersey is in a place far better than this, a place where she is and always will be safe, happy and loved.
~ RIP beautiful child ~
*Hugs to my fellow WS'ers tonight*

I grew up in a small town across the border in Oklahoma under the same circumstances as you. Damn shame kids aren't safe anymore.

So did I, Jacie, and Herding Cats (bbm). I would, starting around 10 y/o, walk from home to our small downtown area (about a mile), where my mom had a dress shop and get 35 cents -- 25c for a movie and a Coke for 5c and a snack for 5c -- and go to a movie nearly every Saturday, often accompanied by a good friend of mine, but sometimes just by myself. Then we'd walk back home, or wait & ride with my mom. We rode our bikes to elem. school, went Trick or Treating in our neighborhood with our neighborhood friends. All the houses back then had front porches, and our parents would sit out there while we played hide & seek till it got too dark to see. My mother was a big door-locker, but we never had an incident, ever, in my little middle-class neighborhood. And on Saturdays, we were outside, not inside watching TV or playing a game on a PC or Wii which we'd never seen nor heard about.

Indeed, where did it go?

Yes, burglary is breaking and entering with an intent to commit an offense. So, it's not necessary to steal something-an offense can be something else other than theft.

Yes, jjenny -- I am told by my attorney friend that it is breaking & entering (in this case a residence) with the intent to commit a crime. At least that is NC law -- and I know that AR is not NC!

I feel sure it varies in each state a bit, but that, apparently, is fairly basic law.

Juggalo's come up in a lot of these cases. The weird transient handyman in the Baby Lisa case---connected with a house full of juggalo's.

Hailey Dunn---Shawn atkins and his friends were into ICP.

I think there is a thread on Juggalo's here, listing the many cases that have juggalo's as POI's.

bbm
As I said earlier, Juggalos scare me as much as the ICP lyrics. If I have the time tomorrow, I'm gonna search for a Juggalo thread here on WS. I never thought about it being on here -- but I probably should've!

Yeah, she'd hate to be associated with a criminal! (Er, except for her jail-going-multiple-times self.) Did she not know before the arrest while she remained living in the trailer with him? Really, maybe she DIDN'T guess. Who knows. These folks' relationship to the law is disfunctional.

Maybe people in Bentonville will understand when I say that before this case, I would have expected a large network of people like this to live in McDonald County not Benton County. No offense to anyone in McDonald County, MO, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

ETA Thank God she's not standing by him.

Another tragic case where children are not seemingly safe anywhere. Just heartbreaking. That poor mom probably did the best she could with needing a sitter and thought it was a good deal all around. That poem someone posted makes me cry because I've seen it once before - at a funeral for the 2 year old son of a dear friend - little guy died in a fire.

Couple thoughts on this case: this guy doesn't seem quite 'right' if you know what I mean. I'll leave it at that. Diminished mental capacity maybe?

He could have done something as stupid that Jersey saw him do - can think of any number of things. 🤬🤬🤬🤬, could he have spanked her, saw him with another girl, molested her, the list goes on. If he was in some fear of her telling, it would give him the 'motive' for shutting her up. What I want to know is how much HE had contact with those kids while his wife was their babysitter. When was the last time???

What the heck is a juggalo or ICP?

Simpson would not discuss details of what led police to Holly but said work by the State Crime Laboratory helped speed the arrest.

Yep, Mz. Lane, when I heard that during the presser, my ears pricked up -- to me, that shouts DNA and/or prints -- I hope I interpreted that correctly. DNA is very hard to argue against; prints help a lot, too.

Juggalo is a follower of a movement often associated with ICP, Insane Clown Posse. Started as rage rock/ grunge rap against the industry, against conformity, against society and it played out as a trend for the most part, but still has a substantial following. It's classified as a cult by some standards.

JB doesn''t have him as a friend either or dad having him as his son on fb now. How dare he look angry in his mugshot. He's odd.

Finally got onto the jail site. Here's his mugshot.

Thanks, Doc!

Mmmmm, good ol' county jail... I wonder how good he is at sleeping with one eye open? .... word gets out quickly, I'm told, so he may have many new friends & neighbors in the next few days ....
