Reading the documents now and Cindy cinches my take on ES. From everything I have read to date, including so sooo much disregard for her children's lives orher than whining repetitively w/out taking action to protect her kids,, I'm guessing ES has had a somewhat infantile or adolescent oppositional defiance thing towards her mother that she's never matured beyond.

Could it be that the more her mother made her aware of Chris's pathological narcissism, even without speaking, the more ES dug in to defend him and guard the illusion of their (fraudulent) perfect life? <modsnip>

I do hope ES gets professional help to understand how she got to this place. And I also believe her willful disregard we have seen in solid documentation merits some kind of charges. Mothers who allow their spouses to abuse and endanger their children are charged every day and ES seemed more informed and aware than many of those and certainly was more professionally educated as to her legal responsibilities concerning this.

All just to flip off her mom? Gee, I sure hope not.

Here's a question:

From the documents I read the incident of one of the children going next door to uncle's house after midnight crying that she'd woken up and dad was gone. Juan searched the house and Chris was gone altogether along with his car, leaving his preschooler and a baby in the house alone. So now we know the car isnt the only place he leaves them alone.Then he tried lie after lie to wiggle out of that one, starting with he was really there but in another room. What a whopper. Then he "went running" (he did arrive back home in his car sweaty, disheveled, and breathless), THEN he'd just gone to the store. Why the obvious lies?

Is it a crime in AZ to leave children this age alone?

According to the documents, ES has been telling her mother not to believe the information available online in reference to this case, calling it "just noise, don't believe the noise".

Does she, in fact, disbelieve every witness statement contained in these documents, each of the callers to 911 about her kids locked in hot cars in different parking lots, the criminal charges against him from an assault and robbery in Sunrise which were eventually dropped only due to a covid caused backlog, and her mom and brother's eyewitness of him being out doing "something, wink wink" in the middle of the night while she worked?

Noise? Really? She still wants her mother to believe he's a good guy?

Something interesting to see is the very detailed list of p@rn videos he watched while Parker roasted. They all have one very narrow "theme" in common. It def leaves questions.

And hey, what a great guy, huh, his friend is to gift him a red convertible and a new Playstation so soon after he used his own to so irresponsibly roast his daughter to death. They should have redacted the name of the woman there are personal allegations against and also names of witnesses and called them "Witness 1- neighbor, Witness 2- relative" or something, for their privacy, IMO. It discourages people to contact police, knowing their identity might be forever online linked to a case.

On ES, MOO, is that she was living a "fantasy marriage" in her head that everything was "fine". Just focus on work, school, and keep pretending everything is fine at home. Perfectionists don't like to fail at anything. And they don't want anyone to say, "told you so".

I think ES is going to find that with CS gone, her life is much easier to manage without having to appease "Man Child" and deal with his drama. And the chaos he creates in her life.

ITA! Funny, early on while reading about the many vacations the family had gone on it seemed a bit odd for a fairly new doctor working hard to build a career on her specialty to be spending so much time away from her practice. The first thing that crossed my mind was “appeasement.”

IOW it felt (to me) like her husband wasn’t as supportive of his spouse as he could be and maybe was a little… self absorbed. It made me wonder if ES was keeping Chris from getting bored by things like arranging pricey vacations or buying him nice clothes, tech toys, etc.

Of course I could be wrong but like some of you my partner and I had worked very hard to make a good life for ourselves and worked even harder when kids came along. That meant modest vacations and not a lot of frills, at least early on.

Anyway I’m just saying I got the impression that Chris was eager, maybe even demanding to have the best and ES felt obligated to keep him happy. JMO

Exactly. I am fortunate when I married in and my kids were "step", they were treated the same. We got a new Grandma and Grandpa who were amazing.

I can't imagine the cruelty of treating a child "less than". That is messed up. Why did CS even want custody? To have a babysitter?

Absolutely! And I noted that in the release of compiled documents, the specific texts between them indicate this too.

She had texted shortly before Parker's murder asking if he had any items he'd like specifically from the Nordstrom sale (i *think* it was Nordstrom but could be another department store?) and he quickly texted back two expensive items that were not even from her specified store or sale. She texted back that those were not even from that store or sale and he replied with a "Nevermind then" answer as though he were miffed. I'd guess this dynamic happened often. I'm guessing he had her programmed to keep her doing the dance to appease him and keep him happy.

What a waste. I hope she can turn her life around and learn to respect and honor herself again. She doesnt need *anyone* else to verify her worth. How she got sucked under by such a loser is a mystery.

Could the answer be in the very specific p@rn video theme in the documents that also listed their texts? Could it be a piece of this mysterious puzzle of why an otherwise accomplished woman would cling to such a pathetic a d deadly loser, although one with a *very* generous friend? Remember the attitude when Casey was found Not Guilty, one of her parents said; ‘Anthony’s don’t lose.’ Christopher said the same to Juan when he was awarded custody of his daughter; ‘Scholtes’ don’t lose’. That poor little girl went through so much in her short life just to be treated horribly by her own father & his wife. Something that bothered me the whole time reading the police reports was there was not a single reference to Christopher’s oldest daughter. Not even 1 time did either of them say that he had 4 girls (now 3 as their daughters kept pointing out).

Juan also commented on other times when they were living together while he worked nights and slept during the day - waking up to find the girls alone in the apartment, Christopher just gone.

You’re right, can you imagine how uncomfortable it would’ve been if Christopher & Erika had to stay in that house knowing all their neighbors made a statement to LE against him?

These neighbors did an amazing job for Parker. I’m sure some suffer with guilt after thinking they should’ve done more before little Parker lost her life. They should’ve been reporting him to CPS and/or the police when they found the children wandering alone or left in the car alone. I hope they realize it would’ve made no difference. All the reports made regarding the mistreatment of his oldest daughter didn’t do anything. No one did anything to help her until she started running away and attempting to take her own life. All the reports were found unsubstantiated.

Now what they should do is allow these neighbors to make a statement to the court before Christopher is sentenced. Before Judge Lopez thinks about giving him 20 years, let these neighbors who are also victims of his bad judgement say their piece. Maybe it will help.
