as she has explained all of his shortcomings in life, something along "he was a good dad, and a wonderful supportive husband, who adored his girls but made a mistake because he wasn't a good multitasker and the world was mean to him because they just didn't understand how great he was and now he is gone " or some such nonsense.

I know this wasn't pre-trial release but post plea, and I know the rule regards appearing for court, but it does not seem wise not to take into account violence against self.

Too many of these. Where they're given the freedom to abscond -- the country or the world.

Why was he given the opportunity to avoid the sentencing to which he pled guilty? Three week bonus freedom? Who does that serve?

Clearly he should have been bound over for sentencing.

It would’ve been poetic justice if he’d burnt to a crisp in a blazingly hot car, but of course he wouldn’t allow himself to suffer long, so I imagine he shot himself?

We will find out.

Anyway it’s November and even in Arizona it wouldn’t have been as hot as when he killed Parker.

Parker honey, from Heaven when you look down at your father in hell, I hope you only feel that justice was done for you, in some manner, and know that your sisters are safe.

I’m actually shocked by this. I thought that he would run and that he thought too highly of himself to take himself out. We can be sure that his final act included no remorse for Parker; he was terrified of going to prison and he took the coward’s way out. Selfish to the end.

Today wasn't the plea, right? He was appearing for sentencing, which would have followed directly, yes?

The Court is lucky he didn't apparently take anyone else out with him.

Yes. I've heard of men, mostly, who take themselves out after accidently taking their child's life. It is too much, and I understand completely.

But CS waited >1 year, took a wonderful vacation, managed to live with his remaining kids, enjoyed his married life, then when incarceration drew near, that's when his pressure point appeared.

Big difference.

IMO I felt he was going to end his life after taking out ES & the girls but so glad that he didn't! Definitely took the cowards way out.

RIP sweet Parker - you paid the ultimate price for your parents lack of common sense & responsibility

Over a senseless tragedy for which he'd been forewarned. Countless times.

So many babies left to die in hot cars, but in the majority of those cases, it was an accident. He left Parker in the car on purpose. Like a substitute babysitter... so he could carry on undisturbed.

He could have IMO plead down his charges early on, spare trial preparation, served a sentence and maybe seen freedom on the other end.

This was his plan all along. He didn't intend to go to prison.

And here we are.

It wasn't what he did that pushed him to some kind of breaking point -- he's had a long year for that. Being sent to prison was his breaking point.

That tells me everything I need to know.

I was trying to imagine a scenario where he went off by himself to do it. Instead of leaving the children's home indelibly marked with the results of his death. I don't know yet if it was their home (?) If so why wouldn't the whole family be there at 5 a.m. wed, Nov 5?

The report iirc said found at 5 a.m., so I guess we don't really know when he did it. Maybe took a handful of pills and went to bed like normal, then found at 5?

This judge has A LOT to answer for, IMO. She's incredibly fortunate he didn't harm the rest of his children on his way out. She also robbed the older daughter of any chance at justice in her lawsuit.

I'm going to read between the lines. Cause/manner of death will be determined by tox screen, ergo 90 days.

If he died by firearm, I think that would be leaked already.

I could be wrong, full autopsies (for unattended deaths) take a long time...

If he ODed, surely there'll be an investigation into what he took and from where/whom he got it.

This might not be over.
