God knows.....Sadly all we get is rumours. Some may be true, but some may not. She may have been there, or maybe not. I go to all my kids things. They expect me there.....and I feel they need me threre to pump them up. Both of mine are a bit shy, so when they do choir, I poke tongues and pull cute faces to make them smile....lol

This may have been covered off already and it may not add value but my wife met OW at school on the morning of the Cross country (Thursday) and she also saw GBC. She did not see ABC at all, however that doesn't 100% prove she wasn't there.

AT 7.30am on Friday, April 20, Gerard Baden-Clay picked up his phone and dialled police. His wife Allison was missing, he told them.

Dressed in tracksuit pants, a jumper and sandshoes, his wife had left their Brookfield home at 10 o'clock the previous night and had not returned, Baden-Clay said.

On any other morning, the mother of three would be in the kitchen packing lunch for her daughters, aged 10, 8 and 5.

Thank you so much for your post Ferris! You have no idea how many of us have wondered if OW was in town before or after ABC went missing! We mostly presumed after! This info sheds a whole new light on many issues IMO!! :woohoo:

The Morcombes have stated on Facebook they have not offered to help the girls financially.

Really?? Where does all of this come from then??:what:

I corrected that post (edited) 2 minutes after I posted it. The Facebook post says they offered help several weeks ago and are waiting to see if help is required. I am not sure it would essentially be financial though, maybe more counselling services etc?

I think the confusion was that the Morcombes have offered to assist financially (and were interviewed today about it), but some people have mistaken that to mean they have already given money. So Denise is saying that they are still waiting to hear if their offer will be accepted. In the interview (Channel 10), they said they had already allocated a portion of their funds in case it was required, and that they could assist the girls with any extras they needed like holidays, computers, pets, etc. A very generous couple :)

Linette on facebook Denise just put a message up which said

Just want to say that we have not helped the girls as yet, not sure what the story in the media said. one of our objectives since 2005 is to to help Young Victims of Crimes and we made the offer to help the girls several weeks ago, so will wait to hear what is required Thanks Denise

It doesn't state whether it's financial help or anything though

What is confusing though is Footy Show was Thur night the 19th but QPS requested programming from 4PM WEDNESDAY April 18th - 4AM Thursday 19th. (Does not include the apparent timeframe of Allison's murder or the Footy Show).

So intriguing!

My bet is on MSM stuffing up the facts yet again.

Aunty do you know she would never have missed an event like that? I know my mum would have loved to be able to be at all of our(her kids) crosscountry events and the like when we were young. Unfortunately she was not able often due to work commitments. We understood, though would have loved her there. Maybe that is why GBC did attend because Allison couldn't (not for sinister reasons).. That does happen too, if at least one parent can be there for the kids. Its not always these days that parents can attend all of those events. IMO ( don't think we can say with Authority what Allison would or would not have done in the circumstances)

Allison was apparently seen on the Thurs afternoon at the afterschool pick up and the person who spoke to her has been spoken to by police(this was mentioned by a poster last night).

I am sorry , but i must have missed that post . I did read every post right up to 10pm.
Allison was seen at the school on the thu afternoon ?
Are they a verified poster ? :what:

I had ruled out that Allison may have avoided being with her children that day or had work commitments.
*** I am simply saying that her not attending the cross country , needs to be seen as a red flag . :what: especially when her husband turns up with scratches on his face and blood red eyes. ( it was stated here)
I am not saying anything at all about " others here or their parents or single parents or anyone else.
I am just drawing on what happened that day and my own experiences of DV I suppose.
And the police are looking at tv programmes that day.
I am now thinking :" Was she in fact alive that day?" that's all .
I am just drawing on my own experiences and If I missed this event ( i always attended ) and my husband went , with scratches on his face,:what: i would hope someone would notice and contact me to ask, are you ok? :what:
Sadly, I know , that no one would have phoned me either.
That's what upsets me about DV , it so hidden.
Appearences never reflect what is really going on in a DV affected family where the husband is a narcissist (ultimate controller and master of a familys false image) It is hidden remarkably well.
He had scratches remember - so i can imagine she would have been alot worse off.

I find it hard to believe when football show started will hold any weight in evidence against him. There are too many excuses he can give. They might want the programming schedule for other reasons too. Please don't let the next 10 threads be on when the footy show started (yawn)

That and the footy show gives a massive window for error.
If he said just the footy show, then it's a window from 9:30pm through to 12:45am in Brisbane I think once you get through the NRL and AFL footy shows.

Maybe they have some specific event that was on the show that he saw.
eg, "You say you saw the footy show on, what was happening at the time" and he references a skit for example.

Yes. I just thought there is no way we know whether there is a valid reason(other than her being incapacitated by her husband) for her not attending and so can't say she would not miss it. I don't think the poster who mentioned someone talking to Allison at the school on Thurs arvo was verified, however it was mentioned they had spoken to Police. Regardless it has been reported Allison was at the hairdressers on Thurs night. Marlywings put up a link to the article earlier in this thread.

I saw the Morcombes themselves on Nine News this evening talking about the fact the Foundation had been set up to help especially children who are victims of crime. Mr. Morcombe said something like "we would be very happy to help Allison's little girls". It was footage of them speaking, so whatever was stated in FB is not what they said on the news themselves.

Yes those beautiful people the Morcombes do so much for victims of crime...it's easy to see how they'd be among the first to offer whatever assistance they could to Allison's daughters.

The Foundation’s Vision

All too often, children are the innocent victim’s in our sometimes cruel society.

The objectives of the foundation are simple and wide reaching across many facets of our community.

2. To assist victims of crime, particularly where crime involves children

4. To raise funds from public and Government entities to support the above objectives
5. To provide a vehicle to attract funding from State and Federal bodies and to establish and maintain a public fund to attract public donations and bequests

very true..and thats sad. I know many mothers would do their best to attend. But there may always be the odd occasion where they can't. So yes Allison may have normally attended, maybe she would have done everything in her power to, for this time maybe she could not. Maybe it was decided GBC would because Allison couldn't. But maybe ther is another reason..although as stated it appears she was seen later that day.[/QUOTE

Perhaps they couldn"t bear to together (GBC and ABC)

Interesting.
Perhaps ABC couldn't bear to be with GBC and OW ? :fence:
