I think she may have taken them because she thought she was going to be paid for taking dirty pictures with him. I think I would need to get very high/stoned in order to go through with that myself.

I don't think she ever went snorkeling, nor ever planned to. My daughter has expensive extensions and although she does go into the ocean, she would not snorkel because that is too prolonged for the glue on the hair.

I believe that is very likely!! I suspect before they ever even came to Aruba there was SOMETHING for pay between them. Several possibilities on that. But it's all conjecture without evidence and I don't think the evidence will ever surface. :(

On the snorkeling, I never believed she went willingly, if at ALL!

I guess it's possible that RF was very abusive towards Robyn and she wanted to end the relationship and he wouldn't let her leave him. Kind of like a Fatal Attraction scenario. If this were the case, it's possible that the only way she felt she could get away from him was to set something up like this. And it stands to reason that GG wouldn't go along with something like this without a good payback such as the insurance.

I hope someone's keeping an eye on GG and if he disappears from MD. Also, would like to know that his communications are being monitored, but that's probably hoping for too much. And, oh to be a fly on the wall in CJ aka Sophia Parnichelli's living room.

Why?

Do you think she knows more than she is saying?

I think its a possibility that there was a business deal between Gary and Robyn
Was it just the photos or more than that, I don't know

What way did he treat her? There is NO evidence that he was abusive towards her.

<snip>

Robyn's best friend and roommate, Christina Jones, said at one point Robyn received angry texts from Giordano, who wanted her to go on a cruise, but she went to New York with Jones instead, according to the Daily Mail.

“He was texting her while we were at breakfast, very angry at her because she decided she wasn't going to go on the cruise,” Jones told ABC News.

She added, “And his responses by text, which I don't feel comfortable repeating, were aggressive, harmful, something that doesn't sit right within myself.”

Jones said that Robyn, 35, and Giordano, 50, had met on a dating Website over a year ago and her friend knew the man had been accused in the past of abuse and stalking. Thus, Jones noted she was surprised Robyn traveled to Aruba with him.

And yet, she chose to travel with him
Most unusual
Doesn't sound like she was afraid of him
But it sounds as if her friend was

Yes, it's unusual for most people to choose abusive partners. But it does happen. Robyn could have been going through a personal crisis and making wrong choices. She went from a beautiful simple looking woman to having the look of a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 star. She had just recently lost her job and was having relationship issues with her boyfriend. A trip to a Caribbean island could have been just what she thought she needed. She was vulnerable and the perfect target for an abuser. JMO

Yes, I suppose that could be the reason she went with him
From everything I have read, she was aware of his abusive past, so she was not naive about GG

Dutch tourist drowns near Natural Pool

Sunday morning police found the body of a man who was reported missing, floating at sea south of the Cura di Turtuga, known as the Natural Pool. Fire rescue workers took the body that had washed up on a rock, out of the ocean.

He was reported missing at 9 AM and his body was found at 10:45 AM
Extremely rugged coast line

This really has nothing to do with anything
I am just curious....

When someone disappears but is not legally pronounced dead, do alimony payments still have to be made?

Dont recall hearing it reported but I wonder how much alimony Robyn received each month.

Another possible scenario: GG is the instegator, has financial problems, and needs money. He seeks someone who can help him with his scheme to collect a 1.5 mill insurance payout. So perhaps Robyn decides she has nothing to lose, and may also want to get away from an overly possessive boyfriend, RF, who she finds also to be more than a little threatening, so she decides to go along with it. Nothing to lose, and something to gain.

So maybe GG offers to pay her $5,000, or even more, as an initial downpayment, plus, a place to live with all expenses paid for an extended period of time, as well as a percentage of the insurance payoff as a bonus if it pans out.

I'm just not sure how this figures in with GG's prior attempts to get the other women to go with him to Aruba. The young Emerson girl certainly wouldn't have gone along with a scheme like that. This leads me to lean more toward the trafficking theory in her case.

I'm not really sure what I think, just something a little off about her which makes me wonder. She was awfully quick to basically declare that Robyn is dead and gone forever in spite of no evidence . Usually people who love and care about someone don't give up hope that quickly. Just suspicious IMO .

If the husbands alimony was up to date, she would have already received the thirty thousand dollars and would have had a year left of payments

But if someone was last seen ' in the ocean' then they are probably going to be dead. It's not like she was just missing from the mall.

They were roomies
We only have her word, CJs, about how close a friendship they had
I think after going to Aruba and speaking with LE, she was confident that RG was not coming back, JMO

Personally, most of the people involved in this whole thing are a bit out of the ordinary IMO

CJ did not like gary but she doesn't seem to be a big fan of Richard either.
The interview that she did on the beach in Aruba somehow seemed more of a show than anything else

And that is just my opinion because everyone reacts differently under stress so what do i know

The court ordered his request for alimony modification to be head by a mediator, and a settlement conference is scheduled for October 7, 2011.

So she had 9 more months left which would have totalled $18000 . That's not exactly chicken feed. But if he'd been laid off could've been drastically reduced . Idk how he could pay alimony if he didn't even have a job? So maybe she knew the alimony payments were coming to an end.

The article suggests that he was struggling to meet his obligations
If they went to mediation and he proved he wasn't making any money, I expect they would have at least reduced the payments, and maybe extended the time period.(?)
