I believe Silva about the one way circle but isn't this the same guy who said helicopters spotted two sharks and a large sea turtle? How would he know what they spotted anyway?

I've never heard officially what they found as far as snorkling equipment..I have always assumed he had his gear in the car and he claims Robyn's were lost at sea with her? What we do know is he changed his story because at first he said he got his shoes and socks wet looking for Robyn. But from what I gather he changed that after he was iun custody to snorkeling with his shoes on..

He must have had a good reason to change his story and want everyone to believe he was snorkeling with shoes and socks on. Ridiculous..IMO

That was not Silva. The report came from helicopters that had flow by the area earlier. GG claims he only had fins for himself and that Robin went in barefoot. He never said he got his feet wet looking for Robin to LE in any statement. GG told that to RG's mother when she arrived on the island. jmo

Are we sure Silva was the witness who made the claim about the sharks, turtle and helicopters? In the article below, it doesn't specifically mention Silva as the source of that information.

<snip>

Giordano's version of events emerged as doubt has been cast by witnesses in recent days that Gardner ever went into the water. A witness at the restaurant where the couple was last seen together expressed surprise at the claim that Gardner went snorkeling because of the obvious effort she had put into her hair and make-up that evening.

A second witness claims to have seen the couple stroll on the beach, but not enter the water.

Giordano, 50, is being held in an Aruban jail and is the lone suspect in Gardner's disappearance, although he has not been charged with a crime. Aruban police have said they believe Gardner is dead.

Giordano has previously stated that Gardner had taken sleeping pills earlier that day and the two drank vodka at the Marriott Hotel before showing up at the Rum Reef Bar & Grill in the Baby Beach area of the island on the Aug. 2 evening that she vanished.

People at the beachfront restaurant said she was woozy and barely ate her salad.

But the source said that she did go in the water, gashing her toe on her first attempt to go swimming. She retreated with her toe bleeding, and a spot of blood was found near where the couple's rental car had been parked, the source said. Forensics is still testing the blood.

The source also said that helicopters spotted two sharks and a giant sea turtle in the area about the same time that Gardner vanished.

Not sure who this source is but GG claimed she cut her foot on a rock prior to going into the water for the second time and had to use the towel to stop the bleeding. According to LE the only blood found was on the towel. No one to date has given a statement that they saw either GG or RG go into the water, only that they were seen leaving in the rental car and RG was still fully dressed. jmo

Nope,Your right as it's not clear who the source was. Could be Giordano for all we know.

Perhaps its one of those situations where they actually saw nothing , but because they expected to see a person in the water, or were told to look for something, they assumed they saw fins
I don't think its all that uncommon when something is suggested

We do not know where TES got their information

It's not true as far as I can tell. Perhaps what happened is TES called one of their Aruban friends in Aruba in the beginning when they were thinking about going to Aruba to search for Robyn. There was at least one report in Aruban papers in the beginning that she was wearing a pink bathing suit or pink which is why they concentrated on that abandoned mine where they found that pink material.

My guess is Giordano probably told Investigators she wore a pink bathing suit snorkeling..Which is highly unlikely since Robyn hates pink..IMO

How do you know its not true? Is that correction out there somewhere?
Does TES make mistakes like that often?

OK, I see you edited your post
I thought you were stating it was not true because you saw it reported somewhere
I now see its your opinion, TY

Because that has never been told to anyone that I know of nor has any witness ever come forward saying that. Like I said,I bet Tim was told in the very beginning but he never got involved in the case and never got around to changing this on his website.

Why don't you write TES and ask them?

I don't think we have heard all of the witness statements in full so I don't really think we know everything that was said

If RObyn was last seen wearing a bathing suit it would have been all over the news. It's not true..IMO

Other than reports of what she was wearing when she left the restaurant, are there reports from witnesses stating she had on the dress on the beach?

Its been quite some time since the initial media report and I don't recall the fishermen witnesses or any other witnesses after she left the restauraunt mentioning her dress.

I am sure they are out there, I just don't remember them

I am also somewhat surprised that an organization like TES does not do a better check on information before adding it to their website

Last see in Oranjestad???

I know. That sure is off. San Nicholas is the nearest to Baby Beach. It's possible they had gotten their information from GG's initial report to LE. I don't think it is uncommon to get information wrong when it's been relayed through a number of people. We've never seen GG's statement so we don't know what he reported other than what we have been told by T. Stein, JB and witnesses who have come forward.

You have to wonder did she even bring a suit with her. If RG was worried about getting her hair wet with those extensions she may not have brought a suit with her because she had no intention of going into the water with GG. He does act a little crazy at times so maybe she just did not want to get into the water with him. It would be interesting to see if there was a suit in her belongings that were returned. If GG described RG as wearing a pink bathing suit he may not have known she hated the color of pink. jmo

She was also allegedly denied health benefits, sick days or any personal time off from her labors

This is bizaare, considering that an illegal immigrant has already broken the law when they entered the country. Which makes them a felon. Therefore, how could an illegal immigrant have any claim to health benefits, sick days or anything else? :waitasec:

This woman had a contract/promise. She may have been brought into the country on a work visa. Obviously she had no paper trail so it's not as if the immigration authorities could find her. jmo

I find the claims in this article hard to believe. Contracts are legal documents and based on law, and this clearly states she is an illegal. Could we go illegally into Denmark or China or whatever country, and try to claim any kind of rights? Or would we just get arrested and imprisoned, or if we're lucky, deported back to the states?

Idk, just seems there's something not quite right with the article, again, probably something political..... jmo

A wealthy New York woman is facing criminal charges after being accused of keeping an illegal immigrant as an indentured servant and forcing her to live in a closet for nearly six years.
Documents posted on the Smoking Gun allege that Annie George, 39, and her now-deceased husband, Mathai Kolath George, hired an illegal immigrant from the Indian state of Kerala.

In order for this poor woman to make a claim she had to get off the estate and to an attorney, or at the very least report it to LE. Who knows what these people told her. They could have told her she would be arrested if she tried to leave. Apparently she was working 7 days a week without the benefit of leaving the estate. Essentially she was held captive there. If she came into the country legally on a work visa but stayed after her visa expired she would be here illegally. I don't think they mean she just walked across the boarder. Someone had to sponsor her to bring her here.

Mexicans come into this country every day and work. They are entitled to work for at least minimum wage. Basically they were not providing her with enough money to return home so even if she wanted to return home, she couldn't. Her employer knew better and knew she was breaking the law. jmo

I know a couple from India that are running a liquor store for a "cousin"here in Md.
They came here on work visa, the cousin has them living in apartment above the store and a loner car, they make just enough money to make it.
Their not abused but they are on a very short leash.
