At this point there is only one witness who claims he saw him after GG returned and that was Mr. Silva. He did not see him return only when GG had summons LE. Mr. Silva said his attention was drawn to the fact that GG was driving the wrong way down to the point and he was driving somewhat recklessly after 4pm. He probably wondered where the fool was going since there is nothing out there to see. When GG returned I don't think he was looking towards drawing attention to himself and obviously didn't. jmo

This is a little OT, but has anyone seen the movie "Taken" with Liam Neeson? It is about sex trafficking in Paris.

His 18 yo daughter was taken. Neeson played an ex CIA agent, and they were saying that if you don't recover the victims within 96 hours it will be too late. These victims were being auctioned off, in the hundred of thousands of dollars. She went for $500,000. Wow!

Really good movie.

So really, what this fisherman witnessed was them leaving together
He can not speak of GG returning or if he was alone as he did not see him/them return
He didn't see GG again til LE was called some two hours later

But I can see why this fishermans story would not be a great piece of evidence as he never witnessed Gary returning.

It would have been significantly more solid evidence had they noticed the time of his return. The fact that three different fisherman saw them leave when GG claims they did not locks him into his statement as a lie. It's not just one-on-one. There are at least three that we are aware of.

You would have thought that when they visited the site the day before (Monday) GG would have realized it was not a good place to snorkel, or was it that it was a good place for someone to drown that he was concerned about. jmo

I recall the blood on the rock report and then GG said she cut her toe
We later found out there was no blood on a rock, but on a towel

I am surprised that after hearing the fishermens reports, he didn't change his story to mention leaving the area and then returning

On his GMA appearance GG made a comment that RG may have been a victum of human trafficers. So how would that happen without him knowing it??? Could he have been thinking of an excuse for where her remains may show up on an eastern coastal beach??? Who knows??? If her remains were found in some other area than Baby Beach would he say that she was picked up by trafficers and tried to escape and that is how her body ended up in an entirely different place??? Why would he make that statement which sounded rediculous? He was (supposedly0 right there and failed to notice a boat full of trafficers pulling her onboard??? Liars never tell you the truth but sometimes they tell a version of the truth to make their lie sound more truthful. jmo

IMO, yes

They were not there long enough for GG to find and trust someone
If there had been a kidnapping, the preliminary communication would have been done from home

This is interesting as the article I linked some time ago stated the average ages is 9 to 19 with the average being 11

My own opinion on the trafficking is that it didn't happen

Gary would have not waited to mention this at such a late date
He would have talked about it from the beginning

Why wait til he was released?
This was a new twist to his story after being freed

Its rather difficult to believe he would keep this tidbit to himself

It would have explained why she didn't come ashore and as LC said, also could be used as an explaination if she washed up somewhere else

About the dress on the towel that was left on the beach....we know that RG had two dresses that looked almost identical. Maybe she had three. But even if just two, couldn't the one left on the beach be a different one from the one she was wearing when she went missing?

In this interview which I don't think I've seen before, GG has toned it down quite a bit. He now admits that he can't explain how the "human trafficking" could have played out.

Here, he lets his infamous attorney, JB, go on the defensive, talking over the interviewer, claiming he can't hear him because he's talking himself, duh, and taking on the role of being his typical indignant smart a** self.

IIRC, they looked almost identical but were slightly different. But maybe I am wrong. I will go back to those discussions and look. I remember a side by side pic someone put up, showing the pattern was slightly different. ?

GG gave his statement that evening and I'm sure the following day. At the time there was one fisherman who claimed he saw them leave but did not see him again. So it was GG's version against one fisherman. Later we heard from Mr. Silva, who was there when LE was questioning him and also the fisherman on the boat who LE eventually took a statement from. All three said they left the area in the car. There could be more since another witness who he called out to when he went for help said his swim trunks were dry but his sneakers were soaking wet. jmo
