IMO Richard is a bully
Bullies usually require backup. Someone to agree with them
They find their strength in numbers.
I have seen this behavior in many different situations.
I am assuming there are severe selfesteem issues associated with this behavior
Makes him feel big, important when he is really nothing
You would love Aruba. My husband was ex-LE and he loved Aruba more than any other island that we continued to visit every year. There is a lot to do there. The food is great, freshest fish ever and I'm not crazy about fish but will eat it in Aruba. Let's say as long as you trust your partner you have nothing to worry about. Just make sure you lock everything in your safe before you leave, same as any other vacation resort and you should be fine. Weather is about perfect, water is perfect, beach is perfect. Up at the high rise hotels at night you see a lot of people walking around, visiting shops, places to eat and they have a Dunkin Donuts right there. I've been going every year for 30 years. It must have something for me to keep going back. lol
There is no Carlos and Charlies in Aruba anymore
Hasn't been for several years
That's interesting to hear. I can see why it would close down, it had developed a terrible reputation for it's servers drugging women. Though I have no doubt that practice will continue in spite of it's closing, at Senior Frog's, at the Rum Reef who knows. Maybe GG will open up his own place, lol. jmo
Isn't strange how RG seemed to be drawn to this type of person? Jumping from the frying pan into the fire with GG. Her friends and family describe her as generally a gentle person looking for the good in others and yet, from what we know, she seemed drawn to these types of personalities. jmo
I had never to C and C in Aruba
I have been to one in Mexico, and once was certainly enough to recognize this is a place that is designed for youth
It is an out of control party scene IMO.
I have no idea if people are drugging patrons or not, but i do know that behavior in places like this leave a lot to be desired
Young people, mostly, who have little experience with alcohol , most are not even of legal age in their own country
Yet they go away on holiday and are free to experience this kind of extreme partying without supervision
Mexico, Aruba, it doesn't much matter the location, the situation is the same JMO

Senor Frogs is owned by the same corporation that owns Carlos and Charlies, probably not much change in the bar's culture.
From a few of the youtubes I've seen, it's no different.
I'm not sure about the one downtown but the one up by the high rise hotels is an open air restaurant. The only part enclosed is the kitchen. Because there are often a lot of children in that area they do balloon animals at meal time. Later in the evening it may get kicked up a little but it's not like it was at Carlos. jmo
I know what you're saying, but how can they conrol it, if it's the "new" Carlos and Charlies, the young people don't know that? So they automatically adjust their behavior because of all the negative scrutiny? Just curious. TIA :seeya:

If you read that article you will notice that the source of that story is RF. He is not exactly an unbiased source and has been coming up with all sorts of stuff about GG, most of which is probably made up. I wouldn't trust anything he says. If they quoted the manager or someone like that it might be different, but RF was not even there.
