Do you have links showing he did not try and collect. Because everything Ihave read says the opposite.
ORANJESTAD, Aruba - Investigators have been told that just two days after an American tourist was reported missing in Aruba, her travel companion tried to collect on a $1.5 million accidental-death insurance policy he took out on her, The Associated Press has learned.
A person who provided information to authorities told the AP that Gary V. Giordano, now detained on the Caribbean island, bought the insurance specifically for his five-day getaway with Robyn Gardner. The person did not have authorization to publicly release the information and agreed to speak only on condition of anonymity.
Aruban authorities previously confirmed that Giordano had an insurance policy that covered the missing woman, but withheld details, including who the beneficiary is or whether Giordano tried to collect. Solicitor General Taco Stein late Thursday confirmed to the AP that the coverage was in the amount of $1.5 million.

The whole conversation Giordano had with the person of AMEX is typed out and in posession of ALE.
It also got in the hands of ABC, fragments of it were shown in some of their many items about this case.
It must not be hard to look up the screenshots where Giordano asks how to collect on the 1,5 million.
I am pretty Sure ABC would have had a field day with that, had it been the case.
And what about Stein, he has the entire transcript of the conversation, how come he did not tell the media how Giordano tried to cash in two days after Robyn went missing? He did not refrain from calling Giordano a mean
