Attorney Seeks To Spare Casey Anthony From Death Penalty

I think paternity would almost HAVE to be an issue in any missing child case, due to the fact that although the Anthony's SAY the father is not in the picture, he is dead, he does not want anything to do with her, he wanted to meet her and be her dad but he died, and all the other stories they have concocted, it IS possible that Casey DID indeed tell the father, and therefore it would be imperative to discover the father if possible to rule out HIS involvement, ie: maybe HE killed her and Casey is protecting HIM, or maybe he is a drug lord and she is afraid of him and what he has done to Caylee and so she remains silent...you get my meaning. I would think it would be extremely valuable for them to identify this man if at all possible. I may be wrong, I often am.

I have always though the same thing a far as anyone else that would have knowledge and would or could have a hold over Casey or Caylee as well as going to motive. I guess at this point we will have to see how this case is handled first, than what evidence or circumstance would come into play.

Why does the dang law have to make things so complicated.

She just BURNS ME UP! on ALL levels. I was a mother at the tender age of 17 years and 1 day. I had no mother of my own, and no support system to speak of. I ROSE to the challenge of being my sons mother, and then one by one, all of my other children's mother, and this without ANY assistance or support system from extended family. I have 2 children with diagnosed autism in the midst of the 6 that I had, and to hear and see the things that this spoiled little BRAT princess has done WITH an apparently FIRM and SECURE support system just chaps my you know what to no end! I am 20 years her senior, and I have a son OLDER than she is and have seen a LOT in life, and her pathetic excuse for BEING a mother is no excuse to me. I KNOW what it IS to BE a mother, and I could not imagine tricking my family into thinking that I had a job for 3 years so that I could escape them for 8 to 10 hours 5 days a week so I could go and do NOTHING important. She just is over the top in the narcism department and I for one cannot tolerate her! Rant over...for now...I think...:furious:

Thank you for taking the time to explain that in plain speak. I can get through the case law and come out the other side, worn and dented but with a understanding but this is so much nicer to have someone else do the hard read.

But, I thought the pre-trial was on the check charges...not the murder charges? So why send it out now? (I think it was obviously leaked.) The prosecution I thought has till the 24th of November to make a decision. If the State says they have no knowledge of this "memo", then I can assume it was leaked for a reason...whether it's part of the process or not.

Oh...that I remember, but even tonight on NG LP talked of the "hands around the neck" incident. Was that LA who told LP? Again, it's only hearsay...not "documented" to my knowledge...but he's said it often enough. I just can't remember who told him about it.

You know, you may be right with it being Lee. Not in an interview with LE but in a converstion he had with LP in his little house on wheels down there. Good old LP. He does know how to put things out there to get those tree branches moving. See which ones break off and come crashing down.

Leave it to Baez and she will be on the table getting the injection lickity-split. The man just does not stop does he? Isn't this station that has been "razing" him here lately a little more than before the very one that he threw out of his offices? Did he not basically threaten and challenge the media that they had best not report anything that would "harm his business" or else? Well what do you think Baez? Got any comments NOW?

There's lying & then there are the Anthony half-truths & mis-truths.

One gets the feeling that the Anthony family has dabbled in avoiding the truth for so many years, they really DO believe 'lies' fall into various categories.

Cindy also tells us that she NEVER saw any indication that Casey was a bad mother. And then we find out that Cindy warned Casey's friends that Casey is a sociopath.

Frankly, once the prosecution points out all the descrepancies in Cindy's statements, I don't see a jury believing a word out of Cindy's mouth. She'll be of no help to Casey.

If she wasn't a bad mother in CA's opinion, why was she chatting with the therapist about custody and tough love?

You know what I think? I think that they honest to goodness thought that Casey was a virgin when she got pregnant and in so thinking, denied what their own eyes told them was the truth. Then once she was REALLY showing there was no choice but for them to discuss it with her. She has in all probability told them one hundred different versions of who is daddy and it is highly possible that they are unaware of exactly who he is...I doubt it though. I know if one of my girls were pregnant, I WOULD know who the father was and they WOULD tell me. I would not let up if it took all of eternity to get it out of them, and they WOULD break in the end and tell me because I am stronger than them! (forged in the fires you know) I have a hard time believing that they do not know, but with a psycho like Casey anything is possible I guess.

I was wondering about the "unanswered" questions if this weren't to go to trial. I really don't care who Caylee's father is...but I do believe HE has the right to know. Especially, if they're able to bring her home and put her to rest.

I agree... but I think higher powers will have the final say in that.

There was going to be a trial for the check fraud and then a trial for Caylee.
Two seperate pre-trials also. The check stuff was asked to be move up so it would come after the Caylee trial so this memo or motion or whateve it is called that DotsEyes is talking about is for the trial for Caylee.

I particularly liked her response to being questioned about her job by LE. I believe they were talking about her employee badge and doubting she had one. She basically told them to go ask her parents 'cause they've seen it. That was one of the most childish things that I've heard come out of her mouth.

Actually it was 3 long years. She never went back to work for one day after she had Caylee and that was 2005-August 9th. It was just shy of 3 years that this went on...

I think it goes like this: If she is found guilty of murder then there is no use in wasting time on the check charges NOW, as they can handle that AFTER she is already IN jail on the murder charge, easily. She will never have a bench warrant issued for failure to appear, because she will be escorted from her cell to her court dates, in that case...
