I find it surprising that she has to carry that youngest child around on her knee, in the wheelchair, while he pushes it.. Social Services would have provided babysitters, since her amputation, and certainly since her ongoing pregnancies and births..paid for by SS ... She would have been on a roster, ... even the local church would have been in the mix.

So it would seem a matter of choice, and not necessity , to me.

I live in SA and have worked in welfare. I don't think they'd provide babysitters... not with her degree of disability and her having a partner to help. Under the circumstances, if she applied for it Centrelink would probably provide extended Childcare Assistance eligibility above that usually available to a couple on benefits so she could affordably put the kids into a childcare centre all day.But at the moment that may not be appropriate either because heaven knows what the kids would overhear being said about them and their family by other parents picking up their kids.

Also, not everyone is religious and a member of a church, if she isn't then she's got no particular reason to feel any more trusting of the do-gooders and self righteous biddies at the local church to provide suitable childcare at this time than she has reason to trust any other person she does not know.

It may just be a case of HP's kids wanting to be with their mother because they are frightened of all of the goings on around them right now. Who knows? Whatever the reason, seeing those little one's dragged along to the police station is heartbreaking.

I thought HP had only one child left? Has HP hired some or has carers kids as well on lap? Using kids as a shield isnt going to work if worse comes to worse.

Waiting for post court criminal history if there is some. No talking about it now.

I get what you're saying but I don't think there is any set dress requirement to be a carer. :smile: The child was being carried either by HP of JM so his feet may not have even touched the ground at the station. If I was taking my children to a police station I certainly would make sure they had shoes on their feet, but that's just me.

When the suitcase was found I'm sure Detective Bray said there were more clothes in the suitcase but they wouldn't be announcing them at that stage.
Also, he was looking for someone who had removed something from the suitcase that was important to the investigation I thought how would he know something was removed....this is the first person/s to look in the the suitcase and who he is still looking for. I'm thinking they may have DNA from something in the suitcase. Sorry, I don't know how to link....MOO
