Thanks for this post KG - I hadn't realised the suitcases were taken to the sister's house until this article.

My interpretation re the two suitcases 'taken' is that DH took 2 cases belonging to Karlie from where ever he and Karlie had been staying (possibly caravan park), to his sister's home. At some later time, he removed the 2 suitcases from his sister's home. It is my summation that he just did not know what to do with Karlie's possessions after her death, and storing of, rather than disposing of them was expedient for him. Distanced himself from Karlie and her dreadful murder.

Yes, I believe you're correct.

Wherever they were taken from it sounds to me that the tipster lived at that house they were taken from by the wording of the statement 'Mr Holdom took two suitcases' or they could have been with him when the suitcases were dropped off. My opinion only.

I think there were a couple of card transactions made from Broadview.

Colleen rescinds the Missing Persons report to the police re Karlie in September 2009.

She does this , why ? logically, I think, it's because she gets a contact, I believe voice, from 'Karlie'. This call is convincing enough to Colleen that she sends money to 'Karlie's ' account, she tells the rest of the family,.. I say this because from then on, the family's messages in FB etc when just after this Colleen becomes very ill are predicated on Karlie being able to contact them, since she contacted Colleen not that long ago.


But all this time Karlie was dead. She, and Khandalyce not long after died in December 2008.

This tells me, that Karlie's killers were monitoring FB, they knew the pages Karlie's family used, their names, etc.. .. they knew when to make a move, and horribly, Colleen never actually heard from her daughter, it was the person who murdered her daughter on the other end of the phone.... thankgod she died before finding out that she had spoken to her daughters killer/accomplice , had even sent them money...

The Broadview BP OTR is also very close to Hampstead Rehab Centre where HP was recovering from the MVA.

Yet curiously also in the final paragraph of this from The Australian, it also refers to being near a house where HP and DJH were living at the time which has to be the Hillbank property which they allegedly left so precipitately. Interesting triangulation.

"A close friend of the man accused of killing Karlie Pearce-Stevenson believes he must have been manipulated if he did play a role in her murder, saying the 41-year-old is “very gullible and easily led”.

Daniel James Holdom has a history of unhappy relationships with women, was easily dominated and had been “seeking a mother and someone to love him”, his former friend said.

Mr Holdom is the only person charged in relation to the killing, although police have said “a man and at least two women have been responsible” for using Pearce-Stevenson’s bank account after her death in *December 2008.

btw I have been thinking about the Broadview SA area too. It's the same general area as the Hillbank house and the Hampstead (Sp?) Rehabilitation Hospital and Wynarka SA is approximately 1 and 1/2 hours drive SE*. I think a map of that area in relation to the date/location after Khandalyce's alleged murder is a must in the not too distant future.

*Remember : Karlie's remains were found in Belanglo State Forest NSW, which is approximately 1 and 1/2 hours drive NE of Charnwood ACT where she was reportedly last seen.

I would certainly not put it into anyone else's account.

So, in essence, the caller may not have pretended to be Karlie but a friend and even more convincingly, a known friend.
In this scenario, I would be easily tricked.

DJH did seem to move around but, by the same token, it looks like DJH was living in both the Northfield SA (2009?) and Hillbank SA houses along with HP (2011) (eg, [BBM]).

What I don't get, if KP didn't die in Belanglo forest, how stupid is it to bring the body to a forest with you phone with you and switched on. So your phone will be tied to the remains.

How could someone pull off a successfull identity fraud for years, but be pinged with a dead body.

Only since the Baden-Clay murder did I know that phones could be traced through towers and pings. I still wouldn't unless I sleuthed these with other WS'ers.

SAPOL said Karlie was impersonated by woman/women claiming to be Karlie by phone, and possibly another person (gender unknown) by texts to her family and friends (therefore unknown number and/or gender of fraudsters) so, no, tgy.

Doesn't mean of course your scenario didn't occur but, in the clear light of day, I think if this was the case the 'friend' would have some explaining to do and, IMO, would have been charged by now.
