Yes Mandy is putting a lot of money on that horse called “Asian Grocer”.
And it’s time for the Melbourne Cup but “Asian Grocer” cannot be located!
It’s almost like that horse never existed…
A DC ring-in 🤣

My thought is that an older gent who maybe did not care very much about plates might have called them white, if they were light grey.
I think they must have been distinctively grey in colour.

imo
Males, of which I am one, are about 20 times more likely to be colour blind than females and those of us who can see colour, don't spend much time caring about it.

I may never catch up but reading through a concentrated batch of quotes from the Defense's closing, wow, just wow.

He's cherrying all right.

But this?--

Ian is wrong about the plates because a BW would have had to have been marked prior to cooking. Um, wha huh? Hold the phone. So he's admitting one didn't have DCs????

She also suggested at one point eating a quarter or a third. You know roughly how much you've ate that you know the difference between those.
Then she backtracked and said she didnt have a tape measure, so how could she have possibly known how much of the BW she ate 😄

EP equivalent of 'I don't hold a hose, mate'

FWIW

IMO EP didn't have ovarian elbow.

She likely had a rash or eczema on her elbow. Which is why she sought a dermatology clinic. And canceled it when it cleared up. You know, like Stage IV ovarian cancer does.

And EP says 2 plates were black!! She’s just saying that to be contrary … she did not have black plates.

Ovarian elbow. 🤣🤣🤣

She could have made it easier for LE bin checkers had she put their initials on them imo
Oh my Mum used to do that when I was a kid. Loved the personal touch on our individual pies.

Haha
I thought Mandy’s whole description of what a poisoner would do was quite funny
Especially
Because he also told jury don’t do as prosecutor says, don’t ask self “what would you do if you accidentally poisoned guests”. He says don’t do that - it’s wrong
But
He’s doing exactly that, by telling jury what a poisoner would have done!!

Do I have this right? Mandy has asked the jurors NOT to judge EP against what a normal person would do but then proceeds to explain how not normal it would be to murder one's own family, murder people with whom one has no disagreement, etc, etc.

I'm trying to follow his logic, but if he's headed somewhere, he lost me.

Or else he's off in the reeds....

I hope he's got good wellies.

It matters because there are only two people who are suggesting that Erin is innocent of murder.
  • One is Erin's defence attorney, and he is being paid a lot of money to make those claims.
  • The other is Erin herself, and she's been proven to have lied, during the health investigation, during the police investigation, and more recently to the jury. The whole way through the trial.
I'd say that matters a whole lot to the jury, and they are deciding her fate.

-
Thanks. But she never lied about knowingly putting DC mushrooms in the BW. I'm playing devils advocate. 🤔

Mr. Mandy, if you're so certain that EP survived DC poisoning because ... she had a 'milder case'.... because.... she started eating it before anyone.... because she ate only a fraction but also a complete BW... and weighs a lot... and vomited but didn't get graphic in describing it... even though her liver was fine... why didn't you put some experts on to say so?

Crickets.

In the US, if the Defense opens the door to good character stories, the State can rebut with bad acts iiuc.

EP is lucky that door has remained closed.

Even if the pasties / pies were marked with skulls and cross bones for the guests, Mr Mandy would be trying to use Erin’s alleged ED as an excuse.

Erin sent me to urgent care (really)! When the elbow-ovarian cancer connection was posited here, I had what I assumed was bursitis on my elbow (google Popeye elbow...). I was waiting it to dissipate on its own, as it wasn't causing any pain. I went to urgent care and as the doctor was draining it, I asked if there was any connection with ovarian cancer. She gave me a funny look and asked where I'd heard it. I sheepishly said, "A true crime website," and headed home.

If EP served BW on the same plates she later served dessert on, those five matching white plates, how come there were only two white plates in the house, Mr. Mandy?

Focus on the plates?

I am.

And it's not looking good.

I’ve been thinking about the Pistorius trial - which is how I came to this site in the first place - and how Pistorius worked so hard to try to show remorse.

Erin, in contrast, during her testimony wasn’t, was she? Oppositional answers, pedantic word games, huffing and puffing while being cross-examined.

I’m perplexed by this. Nobody likes a smart-alec. I’m wary of saying that defendants need to be likeable, and appreciate how demeaning that may come across, especially for women. But - I wonder why she isn’t trying to present herself to the jury as warmer and more caring?
Rbbm

Perhaps she thinks she is (presenting her best self).

Tone deaf.
