Maybe the kids heard mum rambling on, or sleep talking about some of their elderly rellies, and used what they heard for writings on their wall.

Quick question about the wall - is this in a house they sold and the new owner took a picture? Do I have that right?

If so, I think it's odd Erin &/or husband didn't paint it over. It's not exactly a selling-point or flattering to the room, and it's an easy fix to apply some paint, but they didnt?

But maybe I'm wrong about where the photo came from?

A tradesman apparently took the picture. He's been paid for it by the media. Frankly, its an invasion of privacy in my opinion.
Nor has it anything to do with the deaths of 3 people.
Gutter journalism.

Family employed a house painter last year (IIRC re timing) (links up thread but any Daily Mail article will likely contain a recap) to paint interior walls prior to selling the property. Painter saw wall and took a photo/s. After this case blew up the painter found and sold those photos last week and made a bunch of cash I assume. He remained anonymous but also gave interviews where he opined on the wall (is quoted in articles). MSM have since reported left, right and center on the "satanic, death wall". Moo

Remind me to never leave any of my children's old artwork in sight next time I hire a tradie.

I have found some old artwork and some are not too different from the ones on the wall

:D

I'm wondering if the family could sue him. Was it part of his job description? I'll be sure to remind you!

Perhaps it was painted just before the wall got painted.

Maybe give the kids a chance to let their imaginations go wild.
I can absolutely see this. The height chart needed painting over anyway. The kids were told they could draw on the wall before the painter comes and away they went.

How long was she there for?
I’m not sure, but it’s very telling that 3 people died, another in intensive care, but the one who cooked the meal required no treatment.

Could be anything, starting from "I didn't like the flavor of that Beef Wellington" and ending with "whiskey had an odd taste".
I believe it was stated that death cap mushrooms would not have produced any noticeable bitter taste, nor any taste at all.

There's contradictory stuff on the Web (what a surprise!)

The death cap doesn’t taste remotely like death—many people who are poisoned claim the mushroom was the most delicious they’ve ever eaten.

The death cap mushroom has no distinctive odor or taste

She didn’t die “mysteriously”, did she?
Why, I’m not sure Gitana. Some people here are saying she died of cancer, but I don’t have a reference for that.

How much did he get paid? I wonder what his motivation for selling that photograph was? To help with the investigation???

Interesting.
But I think it’s safe to say that taste was not an issue.
Far more likely that they began to suspect EP because of the timing, and other issues they had with her.

See what you mean! Still, maybe dehydrate then soaking the dehydrated mushrooms in water prior to cooking achieves the desired consistency of the duxelle better than chopping fresh buttons then reducing on stove top. Soaked dried/dehydrated mushrooms would not return to their original mass? Just tossing out ideas as I really have no idea. Moo
She allegedly used fresh button mushrooms and dried mushrooms which she rehydrated prior to using.

Why would the dehydrator have been in any way significant for this meal, short of it being multifunctional and providing hydrating as well as dehydrating?

I keep getting stuck in why the dehydrator could have any significance?
unless historical?

Again, who else had access to her ingredients, her home, her supplies/ Was she the only one?

Too many questions..

BBM, a humble bowl of water does the job for rehydrating dried mushrooms... I don't have the answer to this either.

Hopefully we get some logical answers soon...

That's what i thought.
Just water..
There was no reason at all to use the dehydrator for that meal, was there?

Not for "that" meal. What if it was used previously for other meals though, perhaps the one that caused the husband's poisoning (if it was caused by her of course, which is pure speculation at this point).

...the wall. It looks like its started by recording the children's heights and has turned into a wall to scribble on. I'm sure lots of families have one and can't be analysed as anything more than that.
sbm ebm This 100%. Looks just like a simple, "kids, do whatever, I've already started" wall.
Says absolutely nothing about the suspect or their homelife.

My thoughts are that she made powder from mushrooms she dehydrated. Mushroom power could be used in the dish without noticing it, other than added flavor.

This is just my hunch because I use powered mushrooms a lot. Love it.

To me, it looks like something done in covid lockdown. It looks like illustrations to some game the kids were playing back and forth.

I read nothing into it other than I wouldn't want it on my walls.
