Heartbreaking.
I'm hoping he makes a full recovery but I think it will take quite a long time..
He seems to be doing very well following his ordeal and ventilation which wreaks havoc with muscles etc..

I do wish the media had stayed away from this, most personal event.

They mentioned Erin Patterson several times though she wasn't even there.
Why?
Do they need to anchor their invasive articles and photographs in sensationalism??

They simply do not know where to stop or when to stop.
They had no right to photograph him.

There are no boundaries any more, it seems.

It really creeps me out.
No boundaries, no respect, just headlines and klik bait..

I am pleased he is in on mend and the family were able to do this all together and get a a proper goodbye. It would be devastating to wake up and find out your wife had passed away and you was the only surviving member from that lunch who hadn’t cooked it.

For me another nail in the coffin as if EP is completely innocent then why would she have been completely excluded from such an event. It would have showed the world a united front for the family at such a horrific time and help create a clearer picture.

Yeah, iMO the only united front SP and the rest of the family are concerned with is protecting Ian from further harm. There’s a reason why they had those security cameras installed on his property and I doubt it’s to protect him from the media who has shown respect and restraint to the family. JMO of course.

Given the circumstances it’s not surprising that EP hasn’t shown for any of the memorials; even if she was asked to attend why disrupt the service and pull attention away from the deceased?

I wonder if there’s been any interaction between the families. Perhaps LE has requested they not communicate while the investigation continues. Or maybe SP and family aren’t currently interested in seeing EP.

See I don’t agree because regardless the press will be out in force anyway. She wasn’t there and clearly the press was still there filming and taking photos. Her presence would of made zero difference because by her not being there it’s feeding it more because she just looks more guilty that the family have completely shut her out.

If I had to guess I’d say EP’s not welcome by SP or any other family member. I think she’s been shut out by the family who are more interested in surrounding and supporting Ian.

Heck, if the sight of serving Ian a mushroom based meal in the hospital was triggering imagine his reaction to seeing the very woman whose cooking probably poisoned four people, including his beloved wife. Ugh.

True and this is the first time I am reading this story.

It’s definitely enough to put you off mushrooms for life with what he went though.

A friend pointed out she might have read “lessons in chemistry “ a fiction book where a character talks about cooking death cap mushrooms

unless everyone agreed she stay away so it didnt become a media frenzy?

I like to make "Beef Bourguinoin" sometimes but it's a short-cut-low-brow recipe using grape jelly and red wine, not Julia Child's real deal. Maybe EP's beef wellington is like that.

Media was there regardless taking photos and this isn’t going away until LE arrest her or clear her.

I have been wondering at what point they can do either of those things.

Say the tests on the dehydrator (and whatever other kitchen utensils they may have found at the dump) come back negative for poisonous mushrooms.
Say the tests on the kitchen surfaces come back negative for poisonous mushrooms.

Do they clear EP then?

An utterly vile invasion of privacy.

Preying on devastated people who are experiencing intense grief, for the purposes of making money.

Just a thought - maybe she didn't read it. Maybe she's never heard of it.

IMO everything possible would have been done in order for a respectful commemoration to proceed, with all the key players collaborating in an effort to ensure this.

Respectfully, maybe EP wasn't "completely excluded".

Maybe it was EP's decision not to attend, and, hear me out please - if so, IMO in coming to such a decision, she would have considered her own recent experiences with the media inside the boundaries of her own property.

IMO, repugnant as those experiences were, it would be infinitely worse at a funeral, with the entire family having to experience the hyena-like mentality of the media.

IMO she is smart enough to recognise that if she attended, the spotlight would be taken from the commemoration of Heather Wilkinson and her life, and focussed on her instead. How she looked, her demeanour, what she said - everything would be analysed ad nauseum for months.

Essentially, it would not be appropriate to attend IMO, whether innocent or guilty.

If pois statement is correct and ex asked if she used the dehydrator to poison them at the hospital, then at least ex thinks she is guilty (unless he set her up).

That doesn't mean she is though.
